He was perched on the side of the curb like a street performer with the same turntable he's using here, just jamming, for no other reason other than just cuz'. Being so inspired by Slipknot since my early teens, I don't think I've ever fan-girled to anyone as much as I did to him. He was very relaxed and kind towards me, as he is here. Despite his fame and success, he doesn't seem indulged by it - only gives a shit about the music. mad respect to him

He is Definitely the missing link that launched slipknot to insane heights in the late 90s early 00s.... the band was raw energy and sids scratching and samples just made them stand alone... great stuff

I knew Paul started the band and his background but the name ‘Slipknot’ was to symbolise his prior band and the death of it.. was amazing to learn. The fact that Shawn started wearing a mask at practice which caused a domino effect within the band. The annoying thing at the beginning for me with interviewers years ago was the focus on the masks.. their appearance, it’s only in recent years we’ve start to know the individuals of the band. My highlight of following Slipknot was late December of 2009, I received a phone call from the guitarist of Black Dots of death which was a band Shawn formed back then.. probably a couple of years after To my surprise.. the guitar said to me that Shawn will be calling me in around 45 minutes for a chat.. the call come.. for around 15 minutes I spoke to Shawn, it was amazing I found out a lot about him as a person, the questions I had about To My surprise, Slipknot, we spoke about family, etc.. I’ll never forget that day.
I got to see him play a jungle set at an underground party in Philly years ago. It was awesome, except for it being a warehouse in a sketchy part of town..
I know the guys in the band are all intellectually capable and brilliant guys but damn I would have never thought Sid would be such an eloquent speaker and centered man. Whole new respect to add onto to his musical abilities

I remember seeing slipknot for the first time in 2015 on the prepare for hell tour and sid was the stand out of an already incredible show running around the stage like a maniac and diving into the crowd grabbing as many hands as he could mine included. So awesome

I met Sid in Adelaide, Australia in a record store when Slipknot did the All Hope tour in 2008. He was really humble.
