I'm so glad i found this video because it's hilarious. When Trucy asked why she was being targeted my immediate thought was the sins of the father sins of the son troupe. I genuinely thought that was going to be it and never expected it to keep going. The long web of connections that was created was significantly longer than i could ever think of.

Which ended up backfiring because A) Maya has plot armour (ask Maya what that is if you dont know) and B) Everybody in the world is connected to the Gramaryes, so no matter who he hired or conspired with, he had to get his revenge on them too once he realised how they were connected.

But a serious question. Who was more petty? Retinz or Von Karma? Both men are horrible but essentially their reasons were this.
Retinz: tried to get revenge from being fired from a magic group.
Von Karma: got revenge on a man for giving him a penalty on his “perfect record” and spent 15 years preparing for revenge on his son just for being related to him and accidentally shooting his shoulder.
In my honest opinion I think Von karma was more petty. Retinz was petty too but his reason seemed to make a little more sense. Because being a magician was his dream and while he became a successful producer he probably wasn’t happy because that’s not what he wanted to do. Plus like they say, money doesn’t buy happiness. That’s still no excuse for the cruel things he did though.
