HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THE HILL HELP!!! Like rodeo clowns on steroids! Brave dudes. Watched it on the live feed and from the ground in Jackson. Watching this from my recliner and healing up from my own sled accident a few weeks before the hill climb gives me a whole new appreciation for the unsung heroes of the hill. Nice job up there guys!
Most interviews I’ve seen with KLIM it’s usually a full frame Sony camera they are using, most common is the a7siii. It’s definitely a longer lense they are using as you can tell when they pan to the ski lift right above it’s very up close in looks. Bet it is either a 70-200 lense or similar
I just wanna say thanks to the video guys! This is what I was waiting for and for the editors next time leave all the snowmobile body slams from the net at the bottom every single one of those got me gut rolling😂🤙🏻🤙🏻
This is insane! Those guys trying to stop the sled from tumbling are FN crazy. Why don't they use nets at intervals near the top? After the rider passes the net gets lowered and is tethered to a couple tress already. The sled might only fall 50' instead of 100's.
In dirtbike hill climbing they have a bunch of people with ropes tied to trees with big hooks on them that throw them around the bike saves the bike and people from getting broken
@@Simonofcalifornia uh... no, a snowmobile has far less computing power than a human. and the main difference between humans and snowmobiles in way of worth, is that humans have sentience and a soul. snowmobiles have neither.
Those rescuers need to have tied off ropes with hooks at the end so when they slide towards a sled all they have to do is hook something ( any part) and it will stop the machine instantly.
Generally any insurance is not going to cover closed course racing. I know my dirt bike and sleds are only covered for loss on a trail, or more likely theft during transport.
They should just start at the top of the hill with a truck load of new sleds and one at a time throw them down the hill pretty much get the same results and avoid people pretending they can catch 600 lbs
Why instead of trying to catch the sled a few of the older guys have a rope with a plastic hook on it so they can try and snare a sled maybe less carnage for the older guys and let the young bloods chase if they miss
Been riding 45+ years and two years ago got into Klim gear. I've never had such comfort from gear that keeps me warm well into the negative digits. I'm still in Baffin boots though. They say don't fix what ain't broke. :-)
I'm honestly shocked that they haven't come up with a tether system where if the rider falls off the brakes engage to keep these machines from continuing downhill.

This is the definition of insane....
Sucks to see all these nice sled get thrown down that hill.
Facts
The simultaneos "oh fuck" from like 40 people at 13:21 is absolutely incredible
I love how the camera mans just stand there as sleds fall past them
Someone has to get the content
What did you guys use to film this? Looks incredible!
2nd this, the quality is unreal.

I could watch this all day. Cheers
Guys used to try this on 500cc 124” “long tracks” just insane how far snowmobiling has come

JB, its all part of the show, that is a major part of what makes it so much fun to be there!
@@carlschroeder6811 It is pretty fun to watch! Lol
Great job on the video people, thanks so much for posting it. I love watching Jackson Hole hill climb!!!!😊😂👍👌❄
Just what I need to get too sleep, you are all my hero’s
Now and then the camera picks up just how steep it really is.
As someone who's films steep hills. I guarantee we don't get any idea how steep it is from the video.
Meaning I bet it is super super steep.
Low snow year, the amount of bent everything must have been astronomical 🥴
My hats off to the guys who run Up the hill towards the sled tumbling down towards them!
the tether pull at 8:45 is one of my sons, all the way from Sitka AK.
He did good
Ak boys know how to do it👍
I love the ppl trying to stop the sleds
5:40 overconfidence from cam man at an all time high
Wow the guys trying to stop those tumbeling sleds are the real show
Finally see the point of this. Day drinking.
The same reason people love every other power and motorsport. It's awesome. Get off your computer and go do something.
Good work Toby!
The way net catches those machines is hearth breaking.
Just a hunk of plastic on metal if u think about it
@@wyattscheerer6469 as in flash on bones?
@@Simonofcalifornia flash on bones? I’m talking about the snowmobiles are just a hunk of metal and plastic
@@wyattscheerer6469 isn’t that same to compare humans as such? That snowmobile has more computing and horsepower then any human.

The snowmobile stoppers stoping them from falling down the hill is more impressive than the snowmobile rider them selves
Did you take a page out of dirt bikes hill climbing books and use ropes with hooks on it tied to trees
Those are some bad snow conditions.
They do it in late spring, as the snow is already melting. Then you send several hundred power shovels up the same line the snow disappears quickly.
Никто так и не добрался до финиша? Чуваки которые ловят снегоходы фанаты своего дела!!
5:30 went for the double whammy
They crew on the hill are fearless
Those rescuers need to have tied off ropes with hooks at the end so when they slide towards a sled all they have to do is hook something ( any part) and it will stop the machine instantly.
Are the throttles taped down or something or are the hills that steep
At 5:52...the carbide toothbrush!👍
Wats rougher, running that hill or staying at the verg???
Guy at 5:40 is lucky the only thing he lost was his Stormy Kromer!
What size are these snowmobiles
Holy shit, is that guy alright?!?! 5:47
@ 1:49 what a goof to stick his arm into the track.
his head was stuck in, his arms where not stuck
There is 400 carbide screws on the tracks it grabbed him!
2:02 ALMOST landed a backflip at hillclimp
That's a steep hill, the camera doesn't really pick it up that well because the light is kind of flat
this looks realy fun !
Wow a new winter sport snowmobowling
Godamn those Ski Don'ts go down hill really good!
If you have any interest in snowmobiles at all, you need to get up on that hill & watch this to appreciate just how steep it really is!!
Kinda like Running of the Bulls... 😆
Why am I only watching this now?
How about a track with spikes in it?
Sounds great, until you fall under it. Rubber can strip all your clothes off in a couple seconds, don't really want to speed that up.
@@leftyeh6495 That's why you have a line that kills the engine if you fall off

Hill assist feature? Auto kill switch and braking with tether cable....
💪🏻💪🏻✌🏻👍🏻 What goes up, Is Gonna come Down,,, rider On OR Rider OFF !!!! More OFF then ON... LOL
Also high quality crash testing for the manufacturers , Polaris for down hill moguls without a rider ,
13:11 sums it up pretty good🥴
Thats kyle pulsifer
5:55 is what you're here for
So why do they not wear kill straps?
With the amount of snow on that hill it looks more like a who can get traction competition😂😂
Camera doesn't do this hill justice. Snow King is brutal
Snowmolanche danger was high that day.
To the one guy way to use your head man you almost stopped that sled
Are there insurance premiums up-to-date? Are they even covered by doing this activity
Generally any insurance is not going to cover closed course racing.
I know my dirt bike and sleds are only covered for loss on a trail, or more likely theft during transport.
Hill helpers are crazy. I don't love anyone's repairable equipment more than my own body.
Hold my beer!
It will be empty when you get back so bring more.
There was barely any snow this year and it must have bean really hard to go up
Finnaly a place where i cn drive
i think i like watching them roll down the hill more then the climb lmao
Let’s cross a chain saw with a motorcycle and ride it up a ski slope!
It sounded like a good idea at the time!🥶
What if I told you there is a way to save more sleds
They know. They got money to burn i guess.
The advanced contest would be to ride it down too!
Did anyone make it?!
They sure did! Check out our full run videos on the channel.
I must have missed it. Did any machines make it to the top in this idiotic event?
Whole point of this video is just the crashes… did you read the title?
They should just start at the top of the hill with a truck load of new sleds and one at a time throw them down the hill pretty much get the same results and avoid people pretending they can catch 600 lbs
dude took a ski too the face
... its like the tour de france when people get in the way!
Those poor sleds 😢
That last sled wasn’t happy😂 something got jammed or broke cuz the track wasn’t spinning when he hit the throttle😂
5:50 wild ride
He said finally 🤣
Nice try Sprunger #515 .... that looked like it hurt a bit. OUCH
this camera angle does not do justice to the actual slope.
2:30 that guys jaw is definitely sore
2:01 DO A FLIP!
The failure rate here is astonishing. Is it time to rethink what a mountain sled should be?
someone should tell them they're supposed to be hanging onto ropes while they do that...lmao
Brave souls trying to stop them sleds..
I got it
No you get it
My enticer wound eat the little hill 😂
5:41 YOLO
A whole bunch of ouch.
The only sport where spectators get hurt more than the athletes.
I think steer wrestlers would be great at this.
At least half of the entertainment is the sled falling down the hill, sadly...
5:56
Why instead of trying to catch the sled a few of the older guys have a rope with a plastic hook on it so they can try and snare a sled maybe less carnage for the older guys and let the young bloods chase if they miss
They know. No clue why they don’t do it though
Snowmobiles ? more like rockmobiles or icemobiles.
They should hire a few cowboys to lac-o the snowmobiles at the top... the rope would be secured to a tree, of course.
They need to get the tracks to lock up or the brakes
I think I see what the problem is!🧐
People don’t seem to accept the gravity of the sport!😩

more dirt then snow on that hill tbh
if these sleds ran spikes they would have all made it haha whooo ya
Let's risk our lives for a chunk of metal rolling down a hill.....
I'm honestly shocked that they haven't come up with a tether system where if the rider falls off the brakes engage to keep these machines from continuing downhill.
It would still just keep sliding down may even make it worse
😂😂😂😂 you must not snowmobile😂😂😂😂
LOL, I enjoy not having a fk up back
I saw myself in this
Nothing like trashing 15k sleds
