It sucked all the joy out of her life and reminded her that reality is nothing but pain and sadness that is designed to crush our souls until we wither away. I still cannot believe that people thought that Metroid Prime Federation Force was considered a worse reveal than this. Seriously; around the time of E3 2015 when both games were revealed, which one got more flack? The game that was a translation of previous installments into a co-op, mission-based structure for the sake of exploring the universe outside of what was already known, or the most barebones, lacking substance board game ever conceived that requires you to buy more of certain Amiibo in order to get something resembling a good experience? Now, as far as I know, both of these games received negative reception upon reveal and I'm mistaking the lack of flack for this with Happy Home Designer (Another game I consider to be less necessary than Federation Force, but I digress) but one of these games definitely got more than the other, and to my knowledge it wasn't Amiibo Festival.
Not to grind anyone's gears here, but Metroid fans are more prone to complaining than AC fans. Probably a side effect of a story-driven, lore-heavy game vs a wholesome life simulator. So yeah, that's why Federation Force got more flack.
I remember the one time I actually played this game was when me and my brother got super sick back around 2015 or so. We were sitting on the couch in the small room we turned into a game room and held the gamepad between us, just lazily slapping the amiibo on it. Eventually my brother fell asleep and I just played for both of us.
This part of the stream broke what was left of my soul. I can't explain this experience to my family. The horrors that haunted my dreams last night. The trauma of the attempted escapes. The guilt of not being able to save the rest of chat. F

I literally did the same as you RT. On amazon ages ago the amiibo festival with the two amiibos and amiibo cards was like £14 where as just an Isabella Amiibo was £16 on its own. I don't even have a Wii U but I have a 3ds and the cards and amiibos work for Animal Crossing New Leaf. Best deal of my life.
I'm rewatching your videos, & I don't think that the developers ever played an animal crossing game before. In actual animal crossing, yeah it was cutesy, but some of the villagers could be mean to you, debt could be daunting, you could get badly hurt, & things didn't always go your way. This is just soulless happiness from people who think that that's all the game is.

Austin Argo Monopoly is a much more barebones and less enjoyable board game. At least, Amiibo Festival had charm.
