Thanks, dude. That means a lot. Also, I see you're also an aspiring animator. And you're honestly crazy cracked from the ones I just watched. Keep at it, sir.🙏
always been one of my favorite techniques from nakamura, contrasting the fast moving subject relative to how slow it moves across a shot, makes for really lovely looking movement
Well, I mean... the inspiration for this particular style is Yutaka Nakamura, who's responsible for the best moments in My Hero Academia. So I guess that's close enough for me. xD
Personally, I think at the beginning she should've run up the arm to the head instead of jumping up and having the camera show her coming from the right. If the camera showed her running to the left when she started running up the arm then I think it would've been better to make her run up the _whole_ arm and across the right shoulder leading to the robot's head ⬅️↖️⬆️↗️➡️, because then she would be facing _right_ and the next shot where the force of the punch moves the robot's head right would make more sense. (The punch seemed to knock its head right despite the camera close up after the jump showing the punch going left. Maintaining the direction of the action makes everything flow better.)
Recommendation page comment Okay so, you are if not one of the most dedicated animators ive seen to providing us with meals in the scarce community of Hololive battle animations, this is amazing
Thanks! I'm a big fan after all. And I happen to do this stuff. So here we are. Haha Also, one other fan animator I know that does fights featuring Hololive is Kugeki. Check em out if you like.
I don't remember anymore. 1 to 2 weeks maybe? It's a straight-ahead animation. No story-boarding. Kept the art minimal so I didn't have to clean up much.
By Lore, this is actually accurate of how powerful Roboco is in actual representation of her arsenal INSIDE her body. Though her thought process may be PON she was made to crush, destroy, explode, and excess of beams at every modular part of her body.
@@SenseofNoneYT Her creator's prolly a PON. (Also Koyori had subtly hinted that she created a humanoid/android weapon) Thus the Pon probably from the PON of HoloX Inventor herself. So it is very possible that the Pink Coyote accidentally programed Roboco to be a PON default and only high-spec on literal enemies, thus causes the enemy to let their guards down before initiating combat.
Are you drawing the character smaller in every frame as he jumps off towards the giant robot? I'm just been observing for about half an hour but can't seem to nail the process. Great vid by the way. ^^
As in the very beginning when she jumps off the building? Yeah, I was drew the character getting smaller but only in a few frames. The very first few seconds, I was animating each frame while keeping in mind that her overall size (relative to the composition) should keep getting smaller. Animating a character moving from the foreground to the background- it's a good way to sell the difference in scale and the distance. The character went from taking up a huge chunk of the screen all the way to like an ant in size. Also, thanks! I hope I understood the question and answered it properly. Sorry if that wasn't the answer you were looking for. 😅
@@SenseofNoneYT Oh this was certainly the answer I was looking for. Thank you so much for taking the time to understand and answer my question. My questions at times can be a little difficult to understand so thank you. I really appreciate it 😁
I appreciate it! Drew the cuts (straight ahead) on Photoshop. And then put everything into Resolve, added SFX and made it fit the BGM better timing-wise.
ooh u use davinci resolve too? same here. im very new in animating and i use krita. i think im doing really great for a newbie animator. wanted to animate since for EVER. i got a tablet that connects to laptop, i've made a punch animation- but theres one huge problem. It goes too fast. I'm so impatient that i just draw quickly, no pauses whatsoever. i watched videos and learnt to make pauses so theres a ''tension'' for the audience. your animation is amazing@@SenseofNoneYT
@@CyclopsInASuit Yeah. The timing is definitely important. But it also depends on the type of punch and what you wanna sell about it. If it's one big punch, you need both wind-up frames and then more after-hit frames. Do you post your animations or no?
Ay could you make a video on purely impact frames in like an animation and set it out I really need a lot of help I’m a mid range animator and making a big project so I need a lot of help 😅.
I'm using Adobe Photoshop and Animate. Mostly because I had access to these even before I thought of learning animation. I'm not sure what's the best software to use, honestly.
BRO WHAT THIS DESERVES WAY MORE VIEWS! The impact frames were so satisfying
Thanks, dude. That means a lot.
Also, I see you're also an aspiring animator. And you're honestly crazy cracked from the ones I just watched. Keep at it, sir.🙏
Thanks a lot bro!
Her movement reminds me of genos from OPM 😂
I wasn't specifically aiming for it but now that you mention it, she is kinda like Genos. 😅
@@SenseofNoneYTgenos but cute
Genos is already cute enough 👀👀
literally how OPM season 3 is gonna look with mappa animation
Wait she's a girl
Holy crap this is amazing, hard to believe this is just for practice and not leaked sakuga from a new madhouse studio anime 😮
Whoa that's a big compliment, dude. Thanks!
always been one of my favorite techniques from nakamura, contrasting the fast moving subject relative to how slow it moves across a shot, makes for really lovely looking movement
Ayy. Someone who really gets it. 🤝
Another thing I like is how he depicts how big something is by how slow it's moving compared to the character.
@@SenseofNoneYT it really sells the weight of it all
p.s. i love you :3
the way you show the lighting angles changing in the darkness as the mech gets sliced in different directions is a fantastic touch
Did you slow it down or did you just catch that normally? I thought that might have been a little too quick to notice. Haha.
@@SenseofNoneYT In my case, I watched it normally and noticed it. Definitely a noticeable detail :)
you call it practice, I call it pure art
The dynamic is off the charts.
Great work again. 👏👏👏
Thanks! I appreciate it. Really tried to push anime levels of dynamic on this one. 😁
I know this already mentioned but it needs more attention 💥
Nah any and all comments are appreciated, so thanks!
Wow the impact of your animation is so good. Love it!

Very well done! Reminds me of Genos from One Punch Man. I look forward to seeing more awesome animations.
