Hello and thank you for this review. I wanted to ask you two questions about this 12 "subwoofer: Obviously the case is of the closed type, how many liters is it? Second question, can it be good for an SQ facility? Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
This is the 4th gen alpine type R im assuming? Also, do the type "S" models from Alpine look like this type R sub but as the letter "S" rather than R? Thanks for the video very clear and precise. Great Job!!
We are porter fans, but depends on the tuning, size of trunk, and the type of music playing. Lots of variables. Sealed will provide a tighter sound, ported will sound more “boomy” to put it simply.
I was trying to figure out what Gen this Type R is, if my instinct is correct i believe this one is the 3rd gen its rated at 750rms.I tested Alpine R-W12D4 on a Groundshaker ported box and it definitely booms hard lows with hiphop or bass music with amazing sound quality i just ordered the second one to complete the pair. I also have the what i believe is the 4th Gen its rated 750-1000rms 500 per coil its Alpine SWR-12D2 bro this one hits hard pounding lows on my sealed groundshaker i have them wired to 2ohms. its odd because the new 2022 Alpine R2-W12D4 it went back to 750 rms but it claims it has a bigger coil and better control i haven't heard the new one but i always wondered if the Alpine SWR-12D2 is the bets one to date because of its 1000rms output.
I have a similar model that handles 500w rms at 8ohm or 2ohm. Does anyone recommend any amp to provide 500w at 8ohms?? Im assuming i need an amp that provides 1000rms at 4ohms
8 ohms is very inefficient for a sub amplifier setup. Rather than run your type R at 8 ohms, run it at 2 ohms for 500w RMS and amplifier options are endless. amzn.to/3sud0Ff
It will require a large box with it's mounting depth of 6-3/8". If you can find a box that has that depth that still fits behind the seat, then sure. Ideal sealed box volume 0.85 (cubic feet), and ported box volume 1.71 (cubic feet).
I had one of those and wasn’t impressed. Even have it 1000 watts RMS and nah. Bought a Dead Game Audio 12 hurican v2 with same power in a 2.5cu net ported box. Don’t waste your money on these!
Subwoofer linked in the description!
Have this sub in a custom built ported box. Its powered by Alpines R-A75 Mono Amp. Slams in my Tahoe.
I have this sub , and i really love it , the base is killer!!!
Unparalleled engineering.. Alpine!!!!
This will do much better in a ported box. It's what I have rn. But only running off of a 600w Alpine amp. 2ohm
I am running to type R subs for the last 16 years running off an Alpine digital amp battered the living daylights with heavy metal and rap
What beats were you playing when you where demonstrating the sound quality of the sub

Yes they look very similar
Hi, I have an alpine 1043d and always told that this sub work better in a portada box than in a sealed box... do you recomend it in sealed? Thanks

Hey where's the link to the box ?
Does this sub comes with 8 screws. If not what size of screws should i use?
Well, I just got the Alpine 12 inch R2 today and no screws were included.
What cabinet do you have it in? I'm looking to put an R2W12D4 in my truck and I don't wanna spend 600 bucks on the halo enclosure
Here is our recommend ported enclosure for that sub: amzn.to/3ZXS0mj
That box isn't even tuned to what is suggested.

Will a sub like this work we'll in a truck box behind the seat

What's the net volume of the box?
All depends on the sub you install.
@@ProvoBeastAudio Sry, I meant the box in ur video
"Let's go ahead and turn this OVER" 😖😓 🤣

the EBP( Fs/Qes) for Alpine is better in sealed enclosure applications
1st dude iv ever seen not like a type r
Dude you’re just a terrible troll let me tell you Smh🤦🏻♂️
