I try to hit chris like every other week, whether it be audioslave, chris, or soundgarden - you're right it's been a while since it was the chris iteration!
I really enjoyed this video, but is there any chance that you could help us out with the Songbook version recording from Toronto? I think it's still my favorite, and I can't quite work out why it seems so different than what you did here. Thanks for all the help Ryan.
it's been a long time... but do I recall correctly that this song is all Em, Am, and B7? - in toronto he played it the same but Am Dm E7 - go have fun with that :)
@@RyanLendt Woot! Ryan rocks! I just tried out that Am Dm E7 (in standard tuning, no capo)... your memory serves you correctly - you nailed it. Thanks bunches! Now I've got a new song version, a new chord (E7... which isn't nearly as fun as the B7), and something kind of basic to try adding little flares and accents to. I wish I knew why I liked this version so much better. Maybe the more plain guitar spotlighted a slightly more cleanly expressive vocal? I'll have to ponder upon that one. Have a good one Ryan! 😊
Enjoyed this video, I didn't see the notes on ryanlendt.com for this song. I looked for 2 drink min & As hope and promises fade. Did I overlook it? Thanks !
if there are notes for this song it will be in super secret backwards code, which I would have told you in the intro - did I do that? I have no recollection..
Ryan Suggestion Box: never seen this live but found this great acoustic version worth a lesson one day: Zero Chance! th-cam.com/video/nt-Vt0ssLAM/w-d-xo.html
6/17/19. You did this song for your drummer, Nick Croce(Spelling?), because you're worried he'll kick your butt after your joke about drummers you put in the comment section for the song " The Killer Is Me". Ryan Lendt: What do you call a guy who hangs out with musicians? a drummer. . What's next? another Croce song like "Bad Bad Leroy Brown"?
@@RyanLendt Was primarily a slight sarcastic dig at Sound of Sophie in this space / time continuum in which we exist but hey ho...it was a damn fine tutorial tho'. Well done.
Great song and seems simple to learn! Gotta try this one, thanks.
thanks and good luck Mark!
omg i love this song, thank you for this gift Ryan.

been a while since I've seen Chris on here but that aside woooooh Chris Cornell

Heh, caught the Pearl Jam drummer mumble there at the beginning. got mad love for Cameron, but the best cohesive 5, Dave A by miles :)
to each his own and i see your POV - my personal fave is jack
I was just listening to that song thinking that i want to learn it. And here it is. Do you read my thoughts or something?
😮

Please do a lesson of Transmission by Joy Division and Thirteen by Big Star some day 🙏

I need de chord please 🙏🙏
Sorry guys, whats the strumming pattern like? A little blurry for me cos of the mini strums if you get what i mean.
i don't know why i keep learning Chris Cornell songs. I can't sing for shit XD
even people who can sing can't sing Chris Cornell songs, there is nothing to be ashamed of :)
@@RyanLendt and thanks to you I will keep doing so 😬
There's a little smudge on my display with a moth hiding behind it for the past couple videos.
we gotta name him (or her)
