Rola Polski wzrosła, bo urosła jej gospodarka. Polska po 1989 roku przeobraziła się w stopniu nieznanym w jej historii w tak krótkim czasie. Przez ponad 25 lat Polska była najszybciej rozwijającym się państwem Europy. Jednak nie wszystko zależy od Polski. Zagrożeniem jest Rosja, ale też potencjalnym zagrożeniem są Niemcy, z ich potrzebą dbania o własne interesy, z pominięciem interesów sąsiadów. Niemcy mają też naturalną skłonność do konszachtów z Rosją a ostatnio rozwijają także, w ramach swojego narodowego egoizmu, interesy z Chinami. Niemcy nie wiedzą co to jest solidarność europejska i jeśli coś pójdzie nie tak w przypadku Unii Europejskiej, to Niemcy znowu mogą stać się zagrożeniem śmiertelnym dla Polski i innych krajów. Ale póki Rosja nie pokonała Ukrainy a UE się nie rozpadła, to perspektywy dla Polski są dobre albo bardzo dobre.

Poland's location doesn't give it security. It has been a disadvantage for centuries. We got attacked from the south, east, west and north many different times.

It’s amazing to see how Poland has persevered despite its challenging history of being caught between powerful neighbors. Exactly. Poland is dirt cheap to attack because of terrible location and almost no geographical barriers. The current 30 years, which have been the "platinum" era in Poland's history were because of only 1 reason: russia weakness after USSR collapse. Unfortunately russia now isn't that weak as it was 20 or 30 years ago, and history can repeat. NATO, EU and good relations with US do add some security, but how well will it work in practice - hard to say. Before WWII Poland had good relations with e.g. UK, France, US, Japan - none of those countries actually helped Poland. In the time of crisis everyone thinks about only tip of their own nose.
- Poland's influence is still insignificant (especially considering it's size) and no different that small nearby states like Czech Rep. or Lithuania; - neither is it really a special bridge between east and west - same thing can be told about nearly all surrounding countries - from Germany, Hungary to Belarus, it can be easily bypassed either from north or south; - from security standpoint is exact opposite - it's world's go to example for worst possible security position throughout the history. - 3seas initiative hasn't made any moves outside literally handful PR meetings So far prospects are promising to become a decent, average EU country with a big security, demographic, extreme political polarization and middle income trap threats to overcome
