You forget about major detail regard Polish militarization. Specifically outside high-end systems and ad-hock acquisitions to compensate whole drama in Ukraine. Majority of new hardware would be made in Poland. That include thousand BWP Borsuk and same number of K2PL tanks. So majority of hardware would be still made in Poland.

It won't exceed France, Britain, Italy or Germany. Poles still hate Germans, Poland's version of history is very biased. They are a most vengeful people filled with much hypocrisy, not much different than the Russians to be perfectly honest.

@@Channel-sp3fp No. But it can become equal. Poland has robust education system. What tend to be chocking point in the middle income economies. People forget that Poland was Great Power priori to WW2. It is not some weird exception. Poverty in Poland was.
PS: There is literally zero chances of Poland falling apart. Despite clear division between historical zones of partition. Poles are actually more intermixed. Current Polish government is extreme even for Conservative Poles. And what is more important, they are hypocrites. In reality they do not have radically different politic then opposition, beside some nonsense talked in the TV and few populists regulations.

Orban is not the worst I guess. Most worring is him engaging in corruption. Making gas deal with Russia seems good as switching to renewable sources of energy can be hard. Because to get hydrotermal energy you need to make big investments that do not bring high immediate profit. And I heard that although Hungary leads in this area it will not cover all of its demand for energy. Also I do not think making deals with Quatar (what Poland did) for gas is good as the country funds Islamic League - a terrorist organization. But maybe the switch is like in case of USA in 90s when they started to shut down renewable sources to depend more on oil. Idk coz I don't live in Hungary

As a Korean, Poland has my respect. Both Poland and South Korea were once deeply impoverished countries with a long history of war and invasion. But now, both our countries are the complete opposite. Poland has a thriving economy, strong military, and drastically improved standard of living, as does South Korea, and both have established themselves as massive presences within their areas both economically and militarily. Poland even bought military equipment from South Korea!
I don't know what exactly is going on in Poland right now, but whatever is happening, I hope for the best. Stay safe my Polish friends.

@@neilcarter77 That might be true in English, but in Polish we call our country of origin 'ojczyzna' which means 'the fatherland' rather than 'the motherland'. I believe that's what @maircink was referring to. It's good to know such little things and cultural fun-facts, especially if you really want to come back here, generations later (and best of luck if you do)! It's also worth mentioning that we still say things like ' ta ziemia - nasza matka' ( This earth - our mother) in our patriotic poetry and such, so there is some gender equality in the language - our earth is our 'mother' but it belonged to our (fore)fathers :)

Really interesting to hear. My parents are from Poland, I’m born in the 90s in Germany and lived here ever since, but we visited our relatives in Poland since 2000 every year in summer and spend our vacations there.
Our family lives near the Ukrainian border, so there no big cities the area is mostly rural, but the development in the last 23 years is just stunning. When we first visited, my family even hadn’t a proper bathroom, there where outhouses in most cases, and for bathing most time you needed to cook water on a stove.
The trick was that literally every person in their 20s to 30s went away to work in the west. There were just young children, mothers and the elderly around. The others worked most of the time in foreign countries but spend their income in Poland on building their homes and families.

Another state that should never have been let into the EU. Like what has Romania contributed in net terms to the EU but move its Gypsies around selling cheap roses and aggressively begging on the streets cheapening it all. Even that pretending to be Muslims. Like there is low and there is whatever talent you sent abroad.

I visited Poland recently and was shocked. I expected it to feel soviet and sad, but it was vibrant and very pretty, delicious food, well-dressed people. Well-kept homes. Was very nice. The Poles have a good reputation in my home country as hard-working salt of the earth people and with their tough history I'm happy to see them thriving.
