Great campground. Like your site setup and shelter. Looks like it was a fun place to ride. I'm anxious to see the next installment in this adventure. Thanks!
Thanks Rob! I was in a camping spot with no shade and had to figure something out to keep me from getting roasted by the sun. The Black Swamp OHV area is a cool place to ride. There are some serious mud holes to navigate around though. I hope you like the next episode! Cheers!
THE MIGHTY DOC 650 !!!!!!! - I do not even know where to begin. The intro was amazing. The campgrounds are absolutely beautiful. The "teaser" at the end tells me I can't wait for the following episodes. The title of the video is perfect. The explanation of YOUR campsite & accessories are very helpful. Meeting those 2 guys on the KLR's was freakin awesome - Dude, this is what DUAL SPORT RIDING IS ALL ABOUT !!!!! So well done !!!!! "GET OUT OF THE HOUSE - THIS IS WHAT YOU FIND" !!!!!! - SPOT THE FUCK ON !!!!!!! CHEERS TO THE POWER OF A GOOGOL PLEX !!!!!!!!! Fuck me !!!!!!!
Thanks Brother! You are way too kind with your comments. It was crazy how Mack and Walter just showed up as I was drinking some water during a break. I have their contact info when I head back to Croatan NF or West Virginia, I have someone to ride with. As always, I wish I would have captured more footage during my time at Flanner's Beach. I will get better at it in the future. Dual Sport Riding is an amazing way to fully experience riding a motorcycle. Happy Father's Day and Cheers!
Great vid!! Your intro is very nice and see you always put a lot of effort into the edits, too. That tent is great! I don’t do much moto camping but it looks like a couple of my buddies and I may start to do that to gain access to more disperse and isolated camping options. It’s so green where you ride compared to our desert areas here. You have some beautiful places out there!! And that’s very cool of you to promote that young man’s channel!👍🏻 Be safe out there and cheers brother!!
Thanks Rick! I really appreciate the kind words regarding the edits. I continue to try and improve my video development. Motocamping is very enjoyable and very versatile (as far as spots you can access). You are in the perfect area for motocamping with so many National Forests and open land. Funny thing is, you guys out west like the terrain out here and I am jealous of the areas you have! It was cool to meet up with Mac and Walter. Good dudes and I really enjoy helping others out if I can. Hope you are doing great and Ride On My Brother! Cheers!
You and me both! While I was filming that portion, when he said the name of his channel I was rather surprised. Great guys, both of them. Now I just need to figure out a way to meet you up in the Smokie Mountains soon! Cheers Brother!
Awesome video DOC650, it is great to see you out and exploring on the Mighty DR650, such a beautiful bike. I'm hoping I can get out that way next year on the KLR650 or a cruiser. Looks like a great area to watch the world go by. Nice camping set up; I can't wait for the next episode.
Hi VW!! Thank You! It was a great trip with lots of beauty to take in. I wish I would have made it last longer. The DR650 did amazingly well on the trip. Handled anything I threw at it while averaging 46-52 miles per gallon on fuel. The Trailmax Mission Tires did great on and off road. As far as the camping setup, I try to continue to refine my kit depending on where and how I will be motocamping. Hope you are able to head out this way next year! You will love the Outer Banks! Riding there is sensory overload. Cheers!
@@verbalwidget0919 Thanks VW! It was a really enjoyable journey! I am looking forward to you heading this way also! The coast is really close to where I am at and where you are heading, the places I visited are just north of your destination.
Nice shade canopy! I've used my bike cover in the past to cover myself in a hammock I string from my bike to some other point but I can see the value in bringing a shade canopy to get a repreive from the sun! Great video and I really liked the relaxing tunes during the ride. "Get out the house and go do ish, this is what you find"
Thank you, Brad! I have found that the tarp is a piece of kit that must be included in my gear when out and about. It is very versatile. It provides shade, cover from rain and can be used to fabricate a tent type shelter if needed. Glad you liked the music! I figured with a mellow ride I would use mellow music. Yeah, getting out and straying from our comfort zones pays excellent dividends. This las trip was amazing in so many ways. I am trying to show it, but I will never be able to fully relay how awesome it was. Take care Brother! Cheers!
