So glad she’s going back to her roots! Her pop/rock era was everything. Don’t Forget is a fav to this day! Demi has been a powerhouse since ‘As The Bell Rings’ 🤍
I'm truly thankful for this interview. That phrase she says, "this body saved my life and fought for my life", I've never thought about it in that way, it got me in tears since I've had a similar experience to hers more than once. ❤
Demi has been a huge inspiration for me, and a lot others who have struggled with addiction or mental health. I know for me, they have always represented strength and courage. ill forever be grateful that demi is still here, happy and healthy, making change to protect children and continues to be an inspiration for others to keep going. thank you Demi, for everything you do
This is one of my favorite Demi's interview ever! She has this new energy that is so different, it's even hard to explain, but I'm really glad that she's in that place right now. I didn't know the interviewer but I just love him and the way he conducted the interview. Thank you for having Demi! I just love this human being so much!
The interviewer is an actor himself called Penn Badgley who is well-known for his iconic roles as Dan humphrey in Gossip Girl(2007-2012) series and as Joe Goldberg on Netflix YOU( Since 2018 - present) series and he also starred in many movies starred alongside Emma Stone in Easy A(2010)
So good to see Demi confident, smiling and "joyful" Watched her documentary (so deep) !!,.....I hope and pray she stays clean/sober for the PURPOSE that God has for her life
Penn is one of the best host ever! He is such a perfect listener and the way he articulates himself and treats his interviewees is so respectful and wholesome ❤
Demi is so talented in so many ways, i appreciate her vulnerability in everything she does. She is real and i think that leaves a mark more then anything
I am not a podcast listener at all. I’m floored at how articulate this man is while actively listening to, and responding directly to each individual answer is astonishing. I am for sure a “penncast” listener, now! Plus Demi is the sexiest being on earth so yea there’s that. 😊
I Would love to see her back in movies. I fell in love with her in Camp Rock and Princess Protection Program she is an incredible singer but also an amazing actress
i feel like with the conversation on the body your perspective of your own body and what you like and don't like can change over time. in high school i did rowing and we practiced 6 days per week. i started just after i had gone through puberty and built all this muscle right away. when i quit rowing at the end of high school it took me about 4-5 years to accept my slighty curvier and squishier body. i would run all the time and fast for so much of the day just to try to look like i did in high school again but that was so unrealistic and unattainable. now at 24 i couldn't even tell you the last time i worked out (which i really should do for my long term health) but i love my body! and it's not the same body i used to think i wanted and that's ok!
I really really hope that Demi is proud of this documentary. It is so needed for a society often chronically online, on social media looking at, speculating about and with very little boundaries or after thought. Commenting on how famous singers and actresses look, picking their relationships apart like we know them. It has gone so freaking over board. So it is healthy to get to hear from the other side how damn damaging it can be. So maybe we can become a bit more self critical in how we comment on Taylor Swift ”is she pregnant” from a photo of her on stage, or commenting on pics fans have taken of outside her home (stalker vibes). Or think that Chappel should be grateful & suck it up and take a selfie if fans come up, even if she is visibly upset on the phone, in her private life. Or maybe in 2024 stop commenting on how Demi’s body look this or that way in an outfit. And that she looked betrer before according to you. Maybe we could just stop being such a part of the problem. And stop feeling so entitled to comment ”just my opinion” (often just another word for justifying being an a-hole most of the times), just because they are working with music or movies. If it is not about their work, maybe just think it or talk about it offline with real people. And stop it with the ”cost of being famous” if shitty behavior and lack of boundaries and being rude is what you think other ppl deserve because of fame. You are the problem, not the person you feel the need to comment about. And just because that has been the case in the past, why can’t we be better. Be the ones that stop that ”they wanted the fame, so…” narrative, and just be better.
How ironic is it that I have been wanting to write a book of some sort about my OCD, and literally thought of Howie Mandel today. Came on here and watched this video. Then for one of the ads, Howie Mandel pops up and is talking about OCD. Then, Penn jumps on and talks about OCD. I'm taking that as a sign, whether I should or not. I feel very inspired. Thank you so much
An inspiration. I love deep talks like this & it’s hard to resonate with people nowadays. I have the tattoo “Warrior” after Demi’s song 🫶🏼 music healed me in the moment then I was back to hurting when I wasn’t listening to music..
i went to the camp rock tour as a kid and still have/wear my t-shirt from it! i also wore knee-high converse to that show and years later i just got a new pair!
As someone who has had a eating disorder before I love the part where you said that cooking is a huge FU2 eating disorder and that it’s an active self-love as well. I thought that was very beautiful and I think it’s something to think about for sure.
Estoy tan emocionada por este episodio! Y cabe la casualidad que estuve pensando que el tema del documental de Demi tenía mucha relación con el tema de este podcast; me alegro de que haya sucedido :)
Holy fuck, this is my first time listening to Penn. I recognize his face and know who he is, but I've never heard him talk. And the way he thinks and talks is just so damn cool. He's so genuine and authentic. So fucking awesome. I really like him.
I am 34!!! And I just love and adore Demi!! I got to see her and Nick Jonas in Ohio and it was several years ago 😅but my goodness it was my favorite memory with my sister as well!!❤
The struggles of life make u who you are people are ashamed of doing things that we know are no good for us which we try to hide and mask which makes it hard to break a cycle but I feel making a change starts with honesty and truth healing starts with loving urself truly stay gold demi
The fact that Demi is just giving us full names of crushes, I wonder if they know that she's spoken about them or will watch this or even remember her from school!

She is one of the BEST vocalists of this generation! So good to see her well after so many sad things that happened in her life
Give me a break
Theres a difference between singing and shouting loudly in a melodic tone. This generation seems to not know the difference.
there’s so much hate in this world, we need to rise above 💚
It's called belting :) @@nightwing1984

Demi’s hair color is everything! I need to watch this doc
Wow i feel like this episode went by so quick! I can listen to both you talk for hours, truly.
She was also listening to Xtina & Kelly Clarkson at that age, I wish she mentioned that cause it’s obvious in her voice at that age.
Demi Lovato it’s so Strong, deserves the best ❤❤
