I bought one for all the reasons you mention and appreciate the design with different angles, the hook and really good quality ‘tripod’. That base also works well with MFT type clamps if there’s no metal for the magnet. I moved to an area with a very fragile electrical grid. Whenever it gets a bit windy or rains the power goes out. I keep my KAL II plugged in at home. If you hold down the power button while inserting the power cord the light turns off and starts charging with a flashing amber light. When the power cuts out the light comes on automatically. Really cool. Never thought it would be that useful at home!
Interesting. I recently bought a Bosch 12v worklight, mainly because I use that battery system. At 1/4 the price, it has an adjustable stand- built in. It also has a strong magnet- built in. It also has a hook, but it is a carabiner type, so it locks on and cannot be knocked off. It also has a hanging eye. It has a tripod connector also. The exposed frame is all metal, so very strong. It has no bag of bits to carry around, lose, or forget to bring. Such superiority means I would have chosen it at the same price. At four for one there is no contest.
Thank you for making your review, I must say very well made! I can tell you’ve put a lot of time and effort into it, keep up the great work 😊 Subscribed
I consider lighting to be of utmost importance. I use a headlight. It looks a bit goofy, but such a setup performs like no other. When I think of it, my headlight is probably my most used tool. I don't like the festool headlight. If I remenber correctly it's a Petzl with AA or AAA batteries. I think 18650 batteries are the way to go.
Yeah, headlight + some ambient lighting if possible. Tool companies seem to be lagging in the lighting field. Couple years ago all of em were still selling lights with halogen bulbs when decent & already cheap led+18650 flashlights were common

Me too, I use it almost every day, even at home
