  • If you are considering a move to Arizona or already live in Arizona you may want to know about these laws across the Grand Canyon State. I am not a professional legal-man so I would encourage all of you do your own research after tuning in. This is an update to the first one I did on unique laws across Arizona. Obviously I may have forgotten a few really important ones so do feel free to speak up if I missed one or two.
    #Arizona #LiveinArizona #Phoenix
Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. If you are thinking about moving to Arizona feel free to subscribe and check us out on our other channels.

If a felon is still a threat to society, why was he released? What if that felon committed a non-violent crime? What if that felony was committed 30 years ago? Using the description of felon doesn't mean that felon doesn't have the same inherent right to self-protect, nor the same inherent right to protect others.

@Barry Hoffman so... What it really boils down to is so long as you're not a prohibited possessor. That means if you can legally buy the gun you can carry a concealed or open however you want. But if you are a prohibited possessor simply can't carry one at all.

    • @meghanschuler4739

Or smi (seriously mentally ill). That being said, even if u are smi, legally they are not allowed to take a gun u either had before or (like me) inherited it. They MUST prove in court that u are not of sound mind to take that shit. Trust me, I was waiting for my smi release (which id been convinced to do just to get my free medications, like for adhd and anxiety) but I volunteered without knowing. As soon as I found out I learned I have to go to court to prove I'm not smi. Which I have a court date soon for. But cops illegally took my gun. Bc I'd been robbed and as soon as I said get out or ill shoot, the guy left. But the cops didn't check for him they hounded me bc I had a gun on the table and told them what I said. They later found out I'm smi and took my gun. Illegally. So I'm fighting that bullshit rn. Lemme tell ya, arizona is great about guns, except in this one situation where they break federal law. But tpd, (tucson police) suck ass. The sheriff department is great but every time I've had encounters with tpd, even when I was raped, they treated me like the suspect. From jump. Not like I did something wrong, they just treat u like ur always lying. Its bullshit.

Let me correct you on the mask thing. It is NOT a law! It was an emergency mandate by the governor that is not enforced by law enforcement for criminal behavior. If you have religious beliefs medical issues or cultural reasons they cannot force you to wear a mask. It’s a tricky situation that can cause you a lot of aggravation and legal costs. Arizona is not only "open Carry", it's legal to carry CONCEALED. That means be polite to EVERYONE. Don't be aggressive towards anyone and just assume they are armed. Even "little old ladies"!

But its 60 years old, was flown over the white house then give to my purple heart and metal of honor receiving GPA. So, I can't get rid of it. I just folded it up instead of flying it. P.s. did u know if ur flag touches the ground u must, by national law, bury or burn it. Bc u desicrated it. Its real, they weren't kidding about respecting that flag. This is why we did the pledge of allegiance. That flag is meant to represent us all, blue, black, yellow, pink white it doesn't matter, we are all equal under that flag. This is why kneeling and burning it in protest is such a big deal to us. It means u don't respect our laws and u don't love the people and our rights. Why? Based on what? What makes burning a flag for example, such a severe matter that it in any way require a law or anything of the sort? Is it just because you find it very distasteful a thing? As I see it, America has a reputation for being a freedom loving country. So why would you want MORE laws that are strictly not necessary or needed? Personally I would rather see less laws thank you. More freedom, less restrictions. Some laws are needed, but what should the purpose of the government be? In my view, the state should have as little influence in people's lives as possible. Like, why should the government get a say in whenever people take drugs or not? Even if you never want to take any drugs ever, why would you let the state have that authority over you?
I do not even get why people allow the state to make any rules regarding your animals. Well some things are reasonable, like when it comes to animals that are to be sold on the market. But giving the state the authority to dictate anything regarding your own private animals. Your property. I do not see why anyone would trust them with that.
Anything that could restrict a person from potentially heading off to the wilderness to live on their own away from the wider society should in my view be looked at with a highly sceptical eye. That naturally do not mean, I think people should mistreat their animals. Absolutely not. But its their animal, and I do not find some other person who's animal it is not. Or the state who also do not own the animal, to be in a position where they should get to have a say on the matter.
Say if you have dogs, and for whatever reason they all die from the heat. You are already punished by the fact you lost all your dogs. The time you spent raising them wasted, the money spent buying them wasted.
Not to mention, how many experiments on living animals have the country allowed anyway? So is it not just a topic that is good to push for votes? But although its a democratic process, that should not necessarily mean that the majority should get to dictate stuff about other peoples matters, and or their properties.

First time ever coming across your channel and thought I'd give this video a look. I have lived in AZ for over 40 years and have seen many changes (most recently not good ones IMO). However I do have some recommendations on making videos like this much more viewer friendly. You seem to do decent research into your videos but are very confusing when stating what the actual laws or bills are that you are referring to. For example, the proper reference to an Arizona Revised Statute (ARS) for a criminal law is to use say "ARS title 13DASH1234 says...." (same with traffic laws using title 28). You should also reference bills as "Senate/House Bill (SB/HB????)" and post links to all of the statutes or bills you're using in your videos in your comments sections (in order of referencing them in your video). You're telling them to research your research but not providing any assistance. This would help tremendously for out of state people who are not familiar with our codes and bills. And you were pretty much spot on with most of what you were referencing.

Born and raised in AZ, still here. I remember a law being passed years ago that protects people who break into a vehicle to rescue an animal in distress from criminal prosecution. But, you can still be sued by the car owner. The stand your ground law does not only apply to your home and car. Applies to everywhere you have a legal right to be. Mall, park, grocery store etc. No permit necessary to conceal carry over 21. Saguaro cacti are federally protected. Touching a cacti is a big, expensive no-no. As a biker, I can give you a quick run down on basic motorcycle laws. Helmet required under 18 years of age. Splitting lanes is a no-no. Riding in HOV lane during restricted hours is legal. Glasses/goggles required if motorcycle does not have a windshield. Motorcycle endorsement required to operate a motorcycle. Stupid motorist law was passed because folks would drive around barriers into flooded streets/washes and need rescued. Good video for folks moving here.

That is another problem I have with both people and the government in general. Nosy and caring too much about matters that really do not concern them what so ever.
I guess I am a bit extreme in being anti government control and extreme when it comes to peoples freedom. I am slightly sceptical to my stance on this topic I guess, because who want to see children having a bad time? But at least for now, I am very much on the side that children are the property of their parents. Meaning I do not think the state should have much of a say regardless of how parents raise their children.
Even as things are children still get badly treated, so its not as if it has fixed the problem. And its not as if the state even manages to take good care of the children they are responsible for. If the state did a near perfect job perhaps I could accept it. But it do not.
And in recent years, there was been several topics that have bugged me. Leaving me at just leaving parents alone. Is letting a child have sex change surgeries bad? Should parents have to call their boy a girl if the kid comes home one day saying he has changed gender? Should the state get to have a say in such matters? I do not think so. So I do not care if one thing or another would be abuse. I just want the state to not get to have a say any more and stay out of family matters. Leave it fully up to the parents how to treat and raise their kids, even if that leads the kid to suffer.
Like how the schools and such want to give kids the shots without letting parents even know. I do not even think the shots are bad, but its the parents children.
I guess I kinda view the state as trying to make the citizen its slaves or something. As if the state owns us all, and they therefore should have the right to do as they please with people's children. "The offspring of my property would naturally be my property, so why can't we give then a vaccine. Why would I need to inform my slave about it?"

Law, if a horse rider is on the roadway and the animal is out of control (usually because some jackass blows their horn to scare the horse) all vehicles must stop until the animal is under control. We have had fatalities here like this. BTW, it's cacti, plural not cactuses. (welcome to Arizona) Using your horn for other than an emergency is a citable offense. You can look up the traffic laws on Arizona revised statutes title 28 and criminal in title 13. The hunter harassment law was developed to stop the anti hunters following hunters banging drums and tambourines and other things . It is also illegal to sell fake Native American jewelry and call them real. I've been a cop here for 46 years and you need to look at the local laws to educate yourself. Street racing is illegal as is exhibition of speed, like doing burn outs on a dedicated street. Private property traffic laws, DUI, Reckless driving and some accident violations can be enforced on private property like handicap and fire zone (red zones) can be enforced on private property. These will cost you a ton of money. If you leave a child or animal in a car and it is dangerously hot you can be arrested and you will probably have broken glass also. In Arizona you can tape record anybody that is in the same conversation as you are without telling them, this also applies to phone conversations. Look under title 13 for wiretapping and eavesdropping. I am not providing you with statutes on purpose, I want you to look things up to learn. Yes, I was a teacher.

Any lawyer worth a crap will advise you to never submit to a field sobriety test and never comply with any attempt to test your breath or blood without a court order. It is A LOT easier to defend an administrative suspension than to defend a DUI when they have the evidence. An officer’s opinion that you were impaired is rarely enough evidence for a conviction.

We were just there all over Arizona and hardly anyone was wearing a mask there but us. And the kool thing was that adults were not wearing helmets on their motorcycles. At least that is what we saw in the Tuscon area.

What about trespassing laws can you post it on private property

You can post No Trespassing signs on your private property. Note that the location of the sign is considered the boundary. So if your boundaries are not obviously noticeable the signs will take president.

Q?: about the flag law... is having the discolored American flags considered desecration... or burning those against the law?

The criminal speeding is a thing out here in AZ so if I remember correctly anything over 25 over posed or 85mph is no longer traffic it is criminal and can have jail time

People drive so crazy out here and there is never any cops to be found. If the cops gave out more tickets or even had more of a presence, I think people would slow down.

@@cyna1103 I've been saying this for years!! AMEN!! I see it all the time - Where are the Police? Seriously. If the "Law" is the "Law" then there must be some form of enforcement correct? Yes, most people drive and obey the laws...but.... I see this all the time... Doing stupid moves really causing issues.... NO COPS! What's the point of the law when there is no enforcement??

@@cyna1103 I know! And if you look at many accidents, it's because drivers leave almost no room between their vehicle and the one in front of them. Crazy!

You can legally record a conversation without consent of the other party. As long as you know you are recording and not accidentally.

Without the other parties consent, it is not admissible in court ...
