    Clear explanation, I was in a truck accident, over 2 years ago, and I still feel numbness on shoulder, pain, tingling, loss of hearing all in the left side of of the impact. So… it will be permanent?

    • @WILLIAMSELLEBY
      @WILLIAMSELLEBY  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for the question. Legally speaking, some states will allow you to argue that it is permanent based on the ongoing symptoms and other states require medical testimony from a doctor saying the the injury is likely permanent. From a medical perspective, we would have to defer to your physician on whether the injury is permanent.

    October 25, 1981 I was knocked down by a car; the driver did not leave the scene of the crash. However, he was a young driver who didn't have a lot of money, so my parents took pity on him.
    Because I was rendered comatose for four weeks and had multiple skeletal and other injuries in addition to the TBI-such as tinnitus-I was not in any shape to handle the legal side of things. Plus, I was 19-legally an adult, but very inexperienced.
    I feel my parents-neither of whom had any legal expertise-mis-handled the case; I would have gotten a second [legal] opinion. Instead, I am permanently disabled and living in poverty. At this late date, do I have any recourse? It was a massive intercranial head bleed, and at this point I speak with some dysarthria and walk unassisted.

      Sorry to hear about this but we are not aware of any legal remedy, at this point in time, under the circumstances you described.

    Is there a time frame on claiming long term affects after a MVA - 25odd years later. Whilst workcover has been continuing payments for ongoing treatment.....

      It is usually determined by a state's statue of limitations and statute of repose laws. The laws vary from state to state.

    I’m a neglected Missdiagnosed TBI Facial Trauma Survivor ( medically diagnosed hyper vigilant) due to a violent Aggressive Attack in 2021, located In my own apartment. Did not receive trauma treatment or reconstructive surgery. And are experiencing delayed Moderate to severe symptoms such as - cerebral spinal fluid leakage through my nose . How would I get more advice on the process of justifying my neglect . ( i am able to explain more of my situation and symptoms in detail after) .

      Thank you for asking. There is a lot to unpack here (and too much to do so in this forum). If you are in Georgia, give us a call at (833) 534-2542. If you are in a different state, we recommend reaching out to an attorney that is licensed in your home state.

    It’s been 15 months and I’m still dealing from these daily horrible migraines. I still have to work bc I have to pay my bills and support my kids. But I also have pain from my herniated discs in my neck which may be contributing to each other. I’m still being passed around to other specialists and Drs. Does herniated discs add onto the case value since I have both herniated discs AND STILL going through post concussion syndrome? Thank you.

    • @WILLIAMSELLEBY
      @WILLIAMSELLEBY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the question. Herniated discs should add to the value of the case, especially if they were caused by the incident that caused the TBI.

      @@WILLIAMSELLEBY yes sir, both caused by the accident. Dodge 2500 with a huge grill didn’t stop at the stop sign and tboned me right in my driver side. I’m lucky to be alive.

      Me too! I keep getting passed on to the next medical professional. My injuries began October this year and learned last week that I should see a neurologist. This is after several hospital visits and clinic appointments. My body has changed drastically since the accident. I pray that you will get the help you need.

    Value of the case is limited to the policy limit! Doesnt even cover medical bills. Where are the millions coming from if a persons insurance is inadequate?

    • @joelwilliams609
      @joelwilliams609 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the at-fault party doesn’t have enough insurance or assets to cover your damages, there won’t be “millions” unless it is a car wreck and you have millions of underinsured motorist coverage. A lot of lawyer advertising is misleading because it makes people believe that most cases are worth a lot of money. The value of a case always depends, in part, on what is available to cover a settlement or judgement.

      @WILLIAMSELLEBY  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We are so happy to hear you have been able to get an appointment with a memory center. TBIs can have long lasting consequences and the most important thing is always to get the medical care you need from a medical professional who has the experience an expertise needed to provide proper treatment. We wish you all the best in your recovery journey.

    What can I do about multiple concussions (over 200) through 9 months of torture, but I have no one since I was isolated and was threatened to be stabbed by the leads of the gang if I seeked any help.
    It's been been 19 months and still dealing with ptsd and CTE like symptoms, couldn't get medical help, know no one, all I have is my short meetings at the post office once a month or so.
    I'm still so confused and get tired fast. couldn't take care of myself until I was able to get on social assistance in december. now i have less than 10K in assets and maxxed out credit uloc because i needed to pay rent and food.
    I'm just going off pre-acting to be around social now, but I can't even drive to a job because i get so confussed and lost trying to drive there.
    sever concussion lasted over 9 months before I started to relearn how to talk by myself. But everything keeps falling unless I keep working on it. Right now I focus on how to type. Everyday is different in level of severity.
    Trying to talk about the experience puts me in pain in my head for 36 hours. But it is getting better.
    I tried to talk to a doctor in a walk-in in the beginning but I could barely keep three low discripted words in my head to get out my mouth.
    Sadly I'm in Canada. I tried sending a email the first week from a hotel to a injury lawyer but it looked like gibberish since I couldn't create discripted words. talking to cops just made me shake and start to pass out then they left.
    the gang had hacked my computer so I couldn't type the words for help. Due to covid restrictions I couldn't seek help. they kept me on full monitor in my apartment, where it was all done to me for a year so i couldn't file police report.

    Thanks sir is post concussive syndrome the same thing

    • @WILLIAMSELLEBY
      @WILLIAMSELLEBY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Our pleasure. Our understanding of "post concussion syndrome" is that it may develop as a consequence of a TBI. Some medical professionals believe that "post concussion syndrome" is more accurately described as "post-TBI syndrome." However, we are just lawyers so for a precise medical diagnosis we encourage you to ask your doctor.

    Please reach out and help. I’ve used all my money and found out about tbi in therepy and fighting for truth to heal. I can probably get a few million off what has been said and studied the past 2-4years. I’m tired of the routine of no and you don’t look like it.

    What if you think your lawyer wasn’t doing their best but you’ve already settled your case and now your screwed because your lawyers office didn’t care enough to try and get you medical assistance basically I was a quick and easy come up I paid for my doctors visits an mri after being told so much non sense that my lawyer won’t even send me paperwork when I ask gives you the minimum attention and gets you to settle I was given 2 offers and didn’t realize the second offer was the EXACT same as the first offer. I also didn’t qualify or pain & suffering wasn’t covered by the MI no fault or whatever non sense he claimed. I’m angry because I really wanted medical coverage for life if it involves my brain but nope less then $30,000 to end up with $3,000 myself after my “lawsuit”.

    • @WILLIAMSELLEBY
      @WILLIAMSELLEBY  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow. Sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with your lawyer. If your case is already settled, there probably isn't much that can be done.

    Well, I would hope your Doctor tells truth. When you say "depends on what your Doctor is willing to say"
