Having had both similarly equipped, the 200 is a bit better in most situations than the 100. Really comes down to the lack of front end travel on the 100 vs. the 200. Neither can hang with an 80 for the same reason.
Having had both (daily drive the 200 now), I disagree. 200 is a superior off-roader to the 100. More articulation with KDSS, has the crawl and MTS systems, and more torque.

I just hate how the Land Cruiser comes equipped like a soccer mom van from the factory. Low to the ground, small street tires. You can do way more with a bone stock Rubicon than you can with a bone stock Land Cruiser.
This is why I sold my built 200. They are just not that good off road. Too heavy, no lockers unless you add them. Apples to apples it should have been a JLUR.

@@chrisduncan7198 Lol. My friend, I have forgotten more about the 200 series than you will likely ever know. A center diff lock only distributes power evenly to the front and rear. Rear axle has good articulation but IFS in the front is a major failure in terms of articulation (why do you think 80 series are so desirable?).
