Hi Joe! What a coincidence! In April 2023, I stayed at the S3 RESIDENCE PARK HOTEL on Ratchathiwi Soi 3 next to Santiphap Park for one week. I went to Center One Mall and Century Movie Plaza Mall nearly every day to shop and eat since it was close to my hotel. I loved that little park on Soi 3 across from my hotel and I would go walking and jogging in the late afternoon with the local Thais. This vlog brought back good memories!
That's a nice little area. I've been going to Saxophone for at least a decade. My girlfriend works a few train stops away. Her favorite somtam in at Victory Monument.
Always love taking the train past Victory Monument although I haven't spent a lot of time there. Personally really enjoy living in Sukhumvit but I'm always tempted in moving to the Lat Phrao area.
Another Beauty mate,,, i took my wife to a ladies tailor via taxi,, it went through an area the driver called NEW BANGKOK, it looked like a very expensive different country for about 1 mile. i could never find it on a map.
I rent at Victoria Residence Hotel near Rangnam Road for 20,000 baht about $600 a month. It's a great place with old traditional style. Great wifi too.
Please anyone how much is the maximum amount of American Cash dollars you can bring in the Thailand? And will they ask me when I enter immigration? I like to bring at least $30,000 or $40,000 American cash and will that be a problem as I don't want any trouble or problems when I enter Thailand immigration.
I've never brought more than 10,000. After 10k I believe you have to report the cash and fill out some paperwork. They might have a few questions why you brought $40,000. I had a buddy who was in the jewelry business. He traveled into BKK with diamonds often. It was never an issue when he reported. Of course he did have the business license.
@@EagerExpat okay thank you very much. I might have asked you this question already? & as always I appreciate your time, knowledge / help . Sorry if I woke you. I know you're a busy man. And by the way what a wonderful deal on your apartment around $550 a month.
Please anybody will I be able to bring in my luggage suitcases 4 brand new iPads and 2 brand new iPhones in my suitcase luggage and should I just put it in my carry-on will that be a problem when I land in Bangkok and go through Thailand immigration. Somebody told me to take them all out of the boxes and throw the boxes away and wrap them up separately in clothing and put them in the luggage. I want to leave them unopened in the boxes becuz their going to be birthday presents for my Thailand friends & family so I'd like to leave them in the boxes? What do you think?
I'm no expert with bringing multiple iPads in the boxes. I did bring a few laptops and it wasn't an issue. One was in the box. I think they have rules about laptop batteries not being in checked bags. iPads should be ok. Again, I'm not sure, but I doubt they will confuse you trying to setup an import/export business.
@@EagerExpat okay great news thanks again. Sorry if I sound over paranoid I just don't want to have any black marks or Flaws on my passport coming back in Thailand. Its very important to me , I never want to lose that if I was making a wrong decision at the airport at immigration. And sorry to be waking you up at this time in the morning in Thailand as it's only 12:40 p.m. here back in the States , Calif
thanks for showing us a different area of the city
Victory Monument is a great spot. Just a short distance from Siam Paragon.

Thanks for watching
What is the name of the Korean Buffet Restaurant you referenced?
Nice video ...
I'm sorry I forgot the name. It's on the 3rd floor of that mall
@@EagerExpat Thx.
Good vlog ❤
Thank you Mario as always for watching.

My girlfriend lives in Lat Phrao. I also love Sukhumvit. I'm in Phrom Phong. But other areas around town are a nice change.
Thanks for heading this direction. I was wondering what was up this way. I saw a condo tour in Ari. It seems not too many TH-camrs go this way
I've did a bunch of videos up that way. Including Ari. A great section of town.

They're some great tailors around town
I have lived in this area for years but did not know that the movie theater existed, 👍
It's a great area. I love Saxophone Pub for music too.

That's a fun area
We lived the last two summers not too far away.. ny the Kings palace. Victory Monument is a great area and I feel the "real Bangkok".
It's so close from say Siam Paragon, but it has a very local feel.
For good value small suitcases, take a look in the Platinum Mall; third floor.
Platinum is more food than goods these days. I ended up finding a good one at MBK
@@EagerExpat Strange, since clothing is its specialty, at least on the main 7(?) floors.
Close call at 3:27
I have a close call most days in this crazy busy area.
Hello from Chicago!
Thank for watching Scott
Btw. The area near Dusit University and Dusit Marketplace is great!
It is a great area. Thank you for watching
I have a weakness for Mr. Donut
A donut is fine once in a while. I'll grab a Krispy Creme

Why not have Poon show us some of her favorite spots?
Boon, my girlfriend? No, she likes to keep a low profile. She tolerates me always filming. Ha ha.
