Thank you Steven for all these information! You have actually answered several questions that I had in my mind and I did not know anyone that could answer these questions. I currently have an offer on the table, and the company is giving me two options: Raleigh in NC, or Indianapolis in IN. Now, I am pretty sure that Raleigh will be my destination for this new opportunity. I have some other questions and was wondering if you have an email address that we can use to send you additional questions. Thanks again and keep up with the good job!!
My little family and I will be moving to the Raleigh area soon from Hawaii. I’ll miss home but I’m excited for new opportunities and a cheaper cost of living!!

Thanks for the video! I live in California and have considered relocating in the future and Raleigh is one place that a few people have reconnected. I have a colleague retiring in the next six months and she’s moving to chocowinity and she told me all about North Carolina about it’s cost of living, low tax rates, job market increases, and the weather is really nice, etc. I recently visited Seattle which I liked but definitely looking into North Carolina. I am planning a visit to Raleigh in the future to check it out. Can I email you/contact you if I have further questions?
Another great thing about Raleigh is that they hosted a Flat Earth Convention! Met really awesome NC folk too! I would move there from Canada, no problem!
They Lie About Everything We can definitely use a few more Canadians. Some of my good friends are from Canada. But it's a little warmer here in the winter😉
That’s nothing to be proud of... We know for a fact all the planets in our solar system are round....but you want people to think the earth isn’t round! So laughable!
My wife and I moved to Raleigh and lived there for 4 years. (2013-2017) We absolutely LOVED IT! ( lived in an awesome neighborhood called Hedingham ) Worked at NC State and Shaw University. it was great! Eventually, I got a job opportunity up North in Boston, MA and we decided to moved there for 2 years. We quickly realized that was a huge mistake! Boston was an AWFUL place to experience and live in. Just trash. We missed Raleigh DEAAARRLY. So much so, that we tried to move back, but I ended up getting a job here in Charlotte. Moved to Charlotte in January and actually LOVE it here too. But Raleigh is our NC "first love."
@@coreyj.7776 Visit both cities to get the frequency and vibe of each. Visit/walk around the downtown areas on the weekends. Vies some neighborhoods. Raleigh is a nice vibrant, progressive, diverse, growing town vibe, yet growing very quickly. It's definitely smaller than Charlotte. Charlotte gives you more of a metropolitan/cosmopolitan vibe...with surburban energy as well.
I’m glad I found this.. it’s just that I’ve been looking for a job (admin role) for 2 months in Raleigh and I’ve found nothing. Im coming from New York.

I may just move to Raleigh. I lived in Atlanta, from Pa I want a new fresh change. I am in Financial Services with a Real Estate background. Sounds like a great match for me. You are hitting all of the areas of my interest and that relates to my business. thank you for this video.
Hi Steve. I am a new subscriber to your channel. I am looking to move to Raleigh to be closer to my family due to the recent death of my mother a few months ago. I am currently a property manager with 11 years experience in residential management for leasing and sales. I am looking to get RE licensed here in DC and/or NC. I have taken the 60hr course with Long and Foster and passed. Can you advise/assist me?
Planning to move to Raleigh from Chicago. Do you think I can buy a single family new construction home (3 beds, 2 bath) around Raleigh area within 300 K? Or is it not feasible with that budget?
There should be a disclaimer to this video: MUST BE RICH!! RDU area is very expensive and the salary is horrible. If you just have an "average paying job" you will not make it in the RDU area. You will definitely need to live outside of the area. The cost of living is not necessarily cheaper. I moved here from Jersey where I was making over $50k to Durham where I make $46k and I live in the RDU area and can barely afford my rent and all the extra bills here that I didn't have in Jersey.
Do you help in matching persons with rent to own properties? I am from Ga ,but am looking to relocate to Raleigh if I can land a great job. Thank you for the informative video.
I wish black Americans had my mentality. I for one am not looking for "diversity". I'm looking for affluent or middle class BLACK NEIGHBORHOODS. Is Raleigh like this? DC and Atlanta can't be the only places in the country that has what I'm looking for.
I'm a Chicagoan. I am contemplating to move to Durham NC for change and possibly for retirement. Also, I am looking for career opportunities in insurance brokerage firms before I retire.
Honestly ive lived here for my whole life and there are ups and downs but any where u go in nc your gonna see alot of people on the street or walking like high point honestly a pretty bad place raliegh is better but i think most people should go for shore line places
Detroit is as bad as some say. But it's really cold in the winter. Middle Easterners have taken over all the store and eateries!! Gas stations. In the copy they sell very low quality items. The meat counters always smell like dead horse. Since so many folk lost their jobs and walked away from mortgages, starting in 2007... The beautiful two brick colonial and bungalow homes are gutted... Or rentals. Rent is ridiculously high. If you want to like near major shopping... You won't do it in the city. You will pay huge monthly payments to be near clearer areas and major shopping. It's so much!!
I moved to Raleigh, NC back in 2001; when it was still nice. NOW, it’s crowded and starting to get expensive. And to top it off, people who move here from places like NY, PA, IL don’t come with the intent to acclimate, NO they bring all their rudeness and impatience.......so yeah, Raleigh used to be nice, but it is not the same place. I remember when I first moved here, people would say please, Thank You, Good Morning, etc.....NOW that’s slowly dwindling away. Anyways, Raleigh is fast becoming just like any other metropolitan city. Move to Raleigh, but don’t be surprised when you move here. It used to be the place to live, but no longer is that the case.
I'm in IT and im really debating moving from NYC to Raleigh NC. Is there a list of bad parts of Raleigh NC I should avoid moving to ?? Thanks in Advance.
My job is opening a new building in Durham. Thinking about transferring to the area to closer to my south Virginia family. Is it better to commute from Raleigh to Durham or just live in Durham?
As a young(21 yr old) who currently doesn't have my AA or BA yet would you recommend the RDU area? I want to start anew (work full-time and get state residency, then attend community college and grind to get into university). I am highly interested in the field of business. Finance specifically(cost accounting).
Trying to get out of NYC with my wife and daughter. I’ve been looking into NC and Texas. Most likely hopefully I’ll end up in NC. I’m still looking for a position in telecommunications in NC
I've been living in Durham, part of the Triangle... (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) for 3 years. I live with my wife in an apartment in Downtown, lease is not bad, around 1200 and I can commute on a daily basis to my work in RTP, I'm a Software Developer. Durham changed a lot, immigration was positive for the economy of the zone that it moved from being around the Tabaco to IT and Healthcare industries. Keep in mind that in terms of political views, the Triangle is very liberal while the rural areas around it are very conservative. This is changing more and more because even those who used to be very conservative are seeing the recent economic benefits and the continuous development of this area.
Me and my sis are planning on relocating back to the South we're trying to find the right place she's a RN and I have my BA in business would you recommend this to someone like me..... As a RN my sis can pretty much move anywhere and find employment because of the demand, but its not that easy for me she's thinking about north Carolina and Texas but I don't know the business demand.... Do you know if it would be a great move for me, we are ready to leave the north, but trying to find something right for us both.
Are you still in real estate? I need help. Stuck btwn Raleigh or Charlotte or being on the outskirts. I'm looking to move to the area in the next 8-12 months. I know where ever my job will be located will be a determining factor for where I'll live. However, I want to get a geographical idea of safe, nice, affordable ($900-$1200) complexes/townhomes. These are some cities that I've been told to consider: Apex, Gastonia, Concord, Cary (I dont think it would be a good fit), Chapel Hill, Gardner, and Winston-Salem. I want easy accessibility to shopping malls and restaurants. A dwntwn area with these things would be nice too. I dont want to drive outside the area for these amenities. Also, a strong black history presence as well as AA population (more than 15%) is important too. I want to be close to beauty supply stores and blacked owned businesses/restaurants. Basically, a urban city feel but not in the city? I guess? If this even exists. 🤦🏽♀️
I'm having a massive headache now being here. I made a post 11 months ago as Romanov K. I'm still here. I need to leave there is no hope here. I cant find a break.
NC is wack! No jobs, still on that nepotism and discrimination, unless you want to work in manufacturing or call centers! I lived here almost 10 years & out the ten, I've been homeless for 6 years out of the ten! I hate it in Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Greensboro and Dry POINT, aka High Point!
I lived in the same city since 2004, Did not speak english when first moved here and the last two years I made over $60,000. Lowest Income in the las 10 years was $35,000.. I mean if you gonna sit around and wait to be spoon fed, ain't gonna happen. Get yourself together.

I currently live in San Francisco, and with all these information you provided, I have more elements to make a better decision. I have some other questions and was wondering if you have an email address that we can use to send you additional questions. Thanks again and keep up with the good job!!

Don't believe the hype Claude this is not the city it is portrayed to be. Know what you are getting into.
Claude Boulingui My pleasure. Good luck to you my friend.
My little family and I will be moving to the Raleigh area soon from Hawaii. I’ll miss home but I’m excited for new opportunities and a cheaper cost of living!!
THANK YOU for this info i will be moving there in 2019 from Ma i CAN'T take MA anymore.
Aimee mendoza how did it go? I’m in MA and i can’t take it anymore.
Hi Aimee, I’m from Massachusetts and can’t take it anymore. How did your move to NC go ?
Never knew how Many people are tired of Massachusetts makes me feel not alone
Raliegh is on my top list for sure
I am seriously considering moving to Raleigh NC this summer. I currently live in Florida. I need a place to start looking when I come to explore after the holidays. Any good ideas?
Hello Cheryl! Shoot us an email with your criteria and we’ll be glad to help. steve@stevegunterteam.com.
I'm from Boston , my fathers' family is from a small town called eureka . I have family members in Fremont , Goldsboro and Raleigh . I have wonderful memories as a child . I am semi retired as a chef . I'm seriously considering moving to NC . What can you tell me about those locations ? Thank you
I’m from California looking for a New Beginning
I m from NY I want to move to Raleigh after my graduation (healthcare management) my goal is to find a job please if someone can help me
Thanks for the video!
Great video!! Super informative 👍🏾👍🏾
My wife and I are torn between the two cities. Any advice?
Did you end up moving to Raleigh? I'm looking now and have seen Admin jobs online.
Very informative. You have a nice speaking voice. Are you a preacher too?
Child's father n I have been looking at Raleigh from Baltimore for the quality of life, the parks, homeschool groups.
come down Raleigh is the place !
DARK STAR what's the job market there for HVAC tech and a NICU nurse? Thinking of moving to NC but the job market, housing and crime rate is few if the things that will shape my decision.
Everyone is looking to get the hell out of Baltimore Lol. Myself included.
Thanks for the video. I'm considering Raleigh. But I have a question... are you a preacher?
Thank you for this great information.
I'm on my way!
Did you go?
I hope to be there in April!!
Hey Steve. Is there any way I can contact you? Have some questions about the area and need some advice.
Watching this 4 years ago would have saved allot of $$$
Do you help in matching persons with rent to own properties? I am from Ga ,but am looking to relocate to Raleigh if I can land a great job. Thank you for the informative video.
Christy Hardy Hello Christy! We do but please email us your contact information so we can share more detail. steve@urhous.com
INSANITY XL which areas of High Point are safe?
But shorelines, I worry about hurricane season!!!!
INSANITY XL
FLOODING IS HAPPENING TOO MUCH, near OCEAN!
Summer Time America as a whole lacks hospitality... it’s called capitalism.
New subscriber! 👍🏽👏🏽👋🏽✊🏾😊💚💃
Let’s make him Mayor!
I don’t know any one in North Carolina
Is it ok if i use your video as an intro to a song of mine?
I'm in IT and im really debating moving from NYC to Raleigh NC.
Is there a list of bad parts of Raleigh NC I should avoid moving to ??
Thanks in Advance.
My job is opening a new building in Durham. Thinking about transferring to the area to closer to my south Virginia family. Is it better to commute from Raleigh to Durham or just live in Durham?
I’m talking about financial, safety and school systems wise. I have a 10 year old and I want her in the best situation possible.
Also it is better to own a condo or a house or to rent?
Is Raleigh good for single people , do they have a lot of clubs
There are clubs for 21-35 which are nice. Not much for older crowd. This is not a party town
Glenwood Ave baby!!! 😉
What's up Raleigh,nc
As a young(21 yr old) who currently doesn't have my AA or BA yet would you recommend the RDU area? I want to start anew (work full-time and get state residency, then attend community college and grind to get into university). I am highly interested in the field of business. Finance specifically(cost accounting).
Trying to get out of NYC with my wife and daughter. I’ve been looking into NC and Texas. Most likely hopefully I’ll end up in NC. I’m still looking for a position in telecommunications in NC
FLEX_NYC did you move ?
Looking for a place in Raleigh as I type.
MiyBoyzNme Up North Did you find one? How affordable are the apartments there?
I want to move to Greensboro I visit and love it
It's not that exciting of a downtown though from the looks of it (on video) is it?
Lisa S it’s not that exciting. It’s just ok
Depends on what you call exciting
You are correct, no much to do there.
Would Raleigh or Virginia Beach (Norfolk) be better for IT System Specialist jobs? Also which has affordable real estate like under $250,000?
eman7188
Based on the criteria I asked about what city would you recommend? I thinking Houston or Phoenix. I’d love Florida.
eman7188
Do you know anything about any other states?
Good video my man👌🏿
I've been living in Durham, part of the Triangle...
I was thinking about Raleigh or Charlotte NC.
On my way there for 10 days tonight. Looking for a home
Jeremiah Powe Good to hear. Give our office a call 919-817-8286.
Is there a big French population in Raleigh?
Just acxepted a job at UNC. Moving in August
Congrats. What type of work do you do?
I'm a midwife and my husband is an engineer. We are here as of 2 weeks ago.
@@ddo920 how are you liking it? I am looking into apply these for a pharmacy position hopefully.
I like it. Great place for kids. Not bad for married couples this far. The liquor laws are strict. I think it's going to be a better situation.
@@ddo920 awesome. I am single with no children, so I am curious how it will be for me. I hear the medical jobs are really good there.
Because I'm a realtor; that's why
I'm having a massive headache now being here. I made a post 11 months ago as Romanov K. I'm still here. I need to leave there is no hope here. I cant find a break.
What's the problem for you?
what about admin jobs and training?
This helps, thank you.
Thinking about moving there. Can I email you?
Markeshea Porter sure can.....steve@urhous.com
Cary is the spot! 😇
I'm looking at cary and Raleigh
Hi do you know of any places that need an onsite manager?
What about insurance companies jobs?
My version of this video would be “Why should you move to Maggie Valley NC”
Sasha Clark 😱
OMG Homeless for 6 years?! Now that's a damn shame in any city
What have you done to ensure you wouldn’t be homeless? What kind of education, or skills have you attempted to obtain when you were 18 years old?
Damn is it that bad!
I lived in the same city since 2004, Did not speak english when first moved here and the last two years I made over $60,000. Lowest Income in the las 10 years was $35,000.. I mean if you gonna sit around and wait to be spoon fed, ain't gonna happen. Get yourself together.
I like your posts but all the movement and hand activity is distracting. I will still watch your posts! Thank you.
Fall 2019
Don't jump out of the frying pan and into the fire. This place is still in the 1950s .
It’s 50’s in the most charming way.
I'd much rather be in the 50s. Don't too much care for the fast paced life. Besides ya might see Aunt Bea on the porch! Hey ya'll!
It's too many folks here now, it's changed the culture completely. I do like your video tho
Danny Anderson Yes it is definitely a different place. Many of the people who grew up here often talk about how it used to be. But it's still a great city! Appreciate the comment!🙂
That's just ANY somewhat desirable city in the country. You can't avoid that.
Nothing stays the same.
