2018 was my third Summer working at camp, through the agency CCUSA (similar to Camp America - I have videos on my channel about how to become a camp counselor if you'd like to learn more) :) From colour war and sunsets on the lake to tie dye and star gazing, these are some of highlights from our home away from home. If you are considering applying for a job at a summer camp in the USA, I cannot recommend it enough. Ask any questions that you have about camp or being an international staff counsellor below and I'll answer them in my next video!

ally i just wanted to say thank u so much for your camp videos that gave me the finally push to apply to camp last year, i got hired almost a year ago and this summer has been the best 3 months of my life. anyone reading this who is on the fence about applying to work in a summer camp i cannot recommend it enough- its a lot of work but the people you will meet and the relationships you will create make it all so worth it.

I don't know how I missed this video, but wow I felt like crying because you can just feel all the energy and happiness and love in all those moments. I was sad that this video wasn't longer when I first saw it, but I think it was actually the perfect length - what more is there to say, right?

I was at Storer in Michigan. At my camp we couldn’t leave camp property even on our nights off (I only live an hour from camp), we had a lot of rules…some are where we could go on property during our time off & we couldn’t post pictures/videos of our campers.
We had a lot of safety rules in the lake which I totally understand but it was hard to follow sometimes.
Wow-- now that looks like a lot of fun! I'm down for next year!

Hey lovely! It's best to go through the agency who will place you at a camp specifically for YOUR skills, talents, passions, personality and so on :) Trust their process, they'll find the perfect place for you
OMG! How many people are there at your camp?? It looks like it's a big crowd! I work at a small camp with only 200 people and I believe being a counselor at a camp like your is much different than the experience I get 😂 But camp is camp

This looks so amazing! I've applied to be a camp counselor this year (thanks to you!!!) and I was just wondering what you do if your campers don't want to do an activity i.e. how do you get them to take part anyway?
What are the showering and laundry facilities like? I have eczema so I need to use a certain laundry powder with my clothes. This may be the only reason holding me back applying to be a camp counselor!

was it hard to get your girls to go to activities because they were in the older groups and had done everything so much? i found that my girls had become a little jaded to camp. ps i became a camp counsellor because of you!! changed me for the better xx

I also work at a camp nearby to Wah-Nee and have actually been there for tournaments a couple of times! Camp truly is home away from home and this video makes me miss it. Will you be going back next year too?

This was such a great video!! All of your videos inspire me to bite the bullet and go! I’ve been wanting to since I was 15, I’m now 21 and still would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go, but I’m afraid to because I’m in a happy relationship with my boyfriend of 4 years, and I’m afraid that me leaving to go to America by myself for 2-3 months will hurt our relationship, any advice on this?
Paige Cunningham This is a super hard decision. I understand how tough it is. I am in a happy relationship too and I went to the USA for 3 months to do an internship. It was tough but I had such a great time! When I came back, my boyfriend and I just went back to normal. The hardest part is saying goodbye but after that you will have the best time! You just need to stay in contact! FaceTime, messages and write letters!

I’m speaking with an all girls camp and an all boys camp at the moment would it be weird for a girl to work at an all boys camp? There will be female staff but nowhere near as many as on a girls camp and I’m kinda scared 😂 I went to an all girls high school and don’t really have any friends who are boys so I think I’d be thrown in at the deep end
