Knowing what games not to play is also important. I had a situation recently where I met some friends I hadn't seen in years, and I noticed they were still constantly showing their superior status based on their family, wealth, marriages, etc. I've never had an interest in accumulating status symbols and even if I did, I was not born into a situation that would make it easy. I would probably have to become a millionaire to be respected on that basis. So the game they wanted me to play is one in which I'm set to loose 100% of the time. That to me is incredibly boring, if nothing else. I'm just not interested in such a game. I think I'll keep my interactions with those players to a minimum. I have a hard time letting go of long-lasting toxic relationships, but as I've matured I have less and less patience for certain behaviors. Nice video.
