77-Year-Old Chef's Tempura Bowls: Delicious, Affordable, and Worth the Wait!

For this shoot, we visited Ichimizen, a popular tempura bowl restaurant located in Nihonbashi. The shop is famous for its tempura bowls prepared by a 77-year-old master chef, who attracts long lines of customers every day.
The chef, who used to run a traditional Japanese restaurant in Kitashinchi, is known for his delicious and affordable tempura. You'll be surprised by the taste and the price. Featured on Korean TV, Ichimizen is popular with foreign tourists, yet the prices remain very reasonable. For example, a standard tempura bowl with a large shrimp is only 680 yen, and even the most expensive bowl, with eel and pork, costs less than 1500 yen. Please note that the portions are quite generous, so order accordingly!
The restaurant truly reflects the chef's personality and his desire to serve plentiful and delicious food.

50年前に大学が伊勢だったので、当時には天むすと言う食べ物は存在して居ました。
同じく、唐揚げどんぶりというものも鉄板焼きうどんやスパゲッティも伊勢には有りました。
発祥説が、色々と有る様ですが、天むすも唐揚げどんぶりも鉄板スパゲッティもうどんもインディアンスパゲッティも、何処の地方でも考えそうな食べ物ですね。どれにしても、ジャンクな方が美味しいのは、間違いないですね♪
