6'4'', fast, strong, supreme technique, one of the 15 greatest midfielders ever, named after a famous philosopher, a graduaded doctor and a dude who fought for democracy on and off the field at times of dictatorship... total baddass. Renato Gaucho didn't succeed at forst in Italy while Amoroso and Amarildo did... anyone that has followed those 3 in the 15 years of their career know Renato is by far the best of the bunch, but I guess coz he didn't adapt that well in Rome and at those times players still didn't feel the need to insist if things didn't go well their first season in europe they didn't need to stay there to I don't know prove their worth or something, they simply came back to the brazilian domestic level , that were in terms of talent overall as good and better than any other place

Before his death The Doctor was very critical over the declining state of the Brazilian NT which to him had lost its beauty, its magic, its Jogo Bonito. Nobody listened, saying that the rigid, European way was the way to go. Too bad he didn't get to see his countrymen fall to Germany at home in the 2014 World Cup. He would have said, "well, I told you so".

Ditactorship is a centralization of power, here in Brazil we did not have it, we had democratic elections for governor, senator, other political positions, it was allowed for example that opposition parties participate in the elections and even won many times, but only the office of president was not chosen democratically, it was a succession of military men in power, if you talk to a Brazilian who lived through this period with sure you will hear that it was not a dictatorship, the military took power to fight against the seizure of power by communist groups

Remila Meziane Socrates said that his childhood heroes are Fidel Castro and Che Guevara hahahahaha he was a communist, it was against the military regime because the military fought against the communists who wanted to implant here in Brazil the dictatorship of the proletariat, the military regime was not bad for those who lived honestly, I know because I'm Brazilian and I've heard many people saying that the military dictatorship was a lie

They never made players like this. These players made themselves. Nowadays, they get scouted early and "educated" into the correct way to play. For most people (in all aspects of life), education kills creativity. You just end up with a bunch of people believing what they are told and not being able to think outside those boundaries. And the 70s were pretty good for football geniuses as well.
