    Couple interesting observations,
    - a stage of flaps was retracted just before takeoff.
    -The spoilers were stowed pretty quick after touchdown!

      When they left the gate they set Flaps 5 (5 degrees), probably because the initial takeoff data (combination of rwy elevation, air temperature, weight and surface winds) was figured for that flap setting. At some point during the taxi, they probably received their "final weights" from load planning (final closeout of passengers and bags), which had figured the takeoff at Flaps 1, so they brought them back up.

      @@sla31 I once did SLT to LAS back in December 1998, saw the grand Canyon. This was the one and only time I ever flew first class. This happened because the employees of TWA went on strike and the manager had to get me to Seattle any way she could and the only seat left was a first class one.
      From LAS, I connected to a flight to SEA.

      I guess you are right but they were probably 80-100 knots when they retracted the spoilers and the spoilers are used as drag so they should’ve probably retracted them maybe below 60 knots. I mean the reversers were still running when they retracted the speed brakes

    Another great video!
    BTW, The winglets out at the wingtip on this 737 are called 'scimitar winglets', due to their resemblance to the scimitar sword. They decrease fuel consumption by about 5% vs. plain wingtips.

    • @kallek5655
      @kallek5655 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually they're called "AT Winglets" (Advanced Technology). Split Scimitar Winglets are what can be seen on some NGs, which resemble scimitars due to their shape and the backwards pointing ends.

      I fly a lot because of this channel. I started it for fun, and it’s turned into a second full time job. 95% of the flights I take are just to get footage to post on this channel. I work as an aircraft rescue firefighter and airport operations specialist, which doesn’t require any travel. I do everything for this channel, including the flying, on my free time, and on my own dime. So I fly a lot because this channel is important to me, and I enjoy being able to release the content you see. Thanks for watching!

      Yes, Denver has a runway configuration which allows aircraft to land on the north south runways, while aircraft are taking off on the east west runways. That is what you saw here. An aircraft flew right over the top of us as we were starting our takeoff roll.

      I’m not sure what issues you may be having, but it would appear it’s not widespread. I’m having no issues with the video, and no one else has commented that the video is having issues. If TH-cam, or a specific video is having problems, I typically get flooded with comments. Looking at the video analytics, it’s actually showing this video as having a better than usual click through rate, which also suggests that people are watching for longer than usual. I’d check your browser/internet settings if problems continue. The problem doesn’t appear to be with the video. I hope you can get it work my friend!
