Depending on how things go in my private life, I may be able to afford such a setup over the next few months. The trouble is with the vibration that is caused by the cutting machine. Stabilizing pieces aren’t standard for camera mounts, and goosenecks are quite susceptible to wobble
I looked at your website and there's so many amazing looking opals but I have a question is eny of the opal's treated in anyway like smoked or dyed I'm asking because I'm new to opal and I just ordered some opal from someone and I'm not shore thay sade there opal has no treatment but says it's got colour innings inside what is that if anyone can tell me I'm really confused
Just some generic superglue. Any cyanoacrylate will do. I like a medium flow superglue. Quicker to dry than thin, and keeps a thicker “neck” between the dop and the stone.
Selling is half the job! The answer really depends on how much you like sales work vs how much you like acquiring rough, cutting stones, and possibly making jewelry.
It’s very nice to see more work with Ethiopian Opal. There are already a lot of channels that work with Australian.
That’s incredible ⚓️🧲👍
Great work! Watching the process is fascinating.

I would have liked to see more on the cutting side......similar to what that Black Opal guy does where you can actually see it taking shape

Great work. What are you soaking it in to remove it?
Thank you. Acetone to dissolve cyanoacrylate (superglue)
What happens if it gets wet again?
what superglue is that ?

How easy is it to sell these stones?

Do you have polished opals with you?
I do sell polished opals at Heaven-in-Earth.con
