I really did not expect much of anything from OKC in terms of culture, walkability, nightlife, but I was pleasantly surprised. The effort that has been put into making it a lively and desirable place to live is really admirable, and I would consider it an emerging American city with a lot of potential. Is it Chicago or New York? No, of course not. But does it have a shot at becoming more like Austin or Denver? Absolutely. Of course, I kind of like its lack of true bustle, but I predict it will definitely attract more people to its inner city area. There are so many other metro areas of a similar size with lame downtowns and OKC is the example of how to not end up like that.
@@MrJay007j it's in Edmond, a city that's part of the OKC metro area like 🤷🏽♀️ trying to be literal for the sake of being "technically" accurate on youtube? You got me 👏 there, your round of applause, enjoy.
I live in OKC and have for 50 years, picking a few places as favorites is like picking a favorite kid.. There are so many choices and tastes that picking a few places is impossible. I like living in OKC and those that think we are just a bunch of hicks with no culture need to wake up.. We aren't still hunting buffalo and subject to Indian attacks these days.
I hope you love your visit. His list will give you a treat to eat! Try Cafe Cacao for breakfast. It’s on Classen near 36th. Really unique breakfast. Usually a crowd.
Well, we don't eat IN-N-Out, Miguel Jr.'s, or Juan Pollo Chicken (We moved here from SoCal 3 year ago). But I will say there are more and better steak houses here in OKC. I OK with that.
Been here most of my life (60 years). I am a little more of a blue collar restaurant type. Not a one of my picks made the two videos, that I watched. Personally, I don't know one person that STILL eats at Cattleman's, because they've regressed horribly. Hideaway Pizza is OKAY at best, but not worth the money.
Well I'm sorry your favorites didn't make my lists. Sounds like maybe you need to start a TH-cam channel and share your favorites with the world! Thanks for watching 😊
Cattleman's is not what it once was, pass on red Cup, Mediocre pizza, and again, inexpensive place to live but groceries and eating will be a shock! The old saying Oklahoma is OK or more like it will do.
🤔Thinking of moving to Oklahoma City, OK? Give me a shout!

Hey thanks for the comment, and I agree! OKC has done SO MUCH in the last 20 years to become a desirable and competitive city.
Thanks for watching!
Cafe Antigua, Othello's, Golden Phoenix, and Suphattra's Thai Kitchen are some other great places to try when visiting OKC!
Nice, I'm always up for a new Thai place to try! Thanks for watching 😎
Othello's isn't in okc
