It literally gets me high. The sound alone gives my a huge hit of oxytocin. This, and watching/listening to people getting their heads shaved. ASMR triggers are so weird!

It's amazing how so many other people love watching cats groom themselves as as I do!❤ When I am stressed, all I do is watch a video and it helps me forget what I was concerned about😻❤
There's something about the paws in particular that is so relaxing to see being groomed. Instant gratification.
Especially when they pull on their claws temporarily.

The tingles from this paralyzed my body 😭 I was on pure paradise, I didn’t realize that I melted into my mattress. It took me back to a time where my childhood pets, one of them being a cat, would groom themselves or lick me when I was under stress. It was such a kind gesture of them. Thank you for bringing me nostalgic memories

I used to have a cat who would wake me up for a petting session. Once she had enough, she would lay between my legs & start grooming herself while still purring. Weirdest sound ever! But i always found that a cat grooming is a very soothing sound, regardless if they were purring or not. Some can get aggressive with the chewing sounds tho! 😆😆😆

We adopted Curry from an Indian family. There was a piece of curry sticking onto her fur, and she smelled like curry 😹

I believe I was the first human to discover the magic of cats grooming themselves. I'm talking back in the 90s so I was definitely the first. Ever
I remember in the 80s, when I had hair, and I’d get a haircut, the barber would use scissors next to my ear and I would feel the tingles in the back of my head and down my back. I didn’t know what it was then but that was always my favorite part of the haircut.
I don’t know about that. People acknowledge things but never really speak about them
