😂 my grandmother is similar to this my aunt is in town for Thanksgiving and i went over to my Grandmother's house to visit she asked how i was and i just wasnt masking that night so i just said "terrible how are you :)" and i haven't seen her in a long time so she was confused until i offered an explanation about my chronic pain condition then my grandma chimes in with "but you can get past it ive met people who have" i decided not to take crap from her this time and launched into a speech about out how ive tried all the things and this is not something i can just overcome thankfully my aunt is much more understanding but wow that was rude and she doesn't even understand why lol
Suffice to say watching content like yours and reading and interacting with your comments has really helped me understand how to articulate/advocate for myself in a respectful way so thanks for all you do! :)
omg sorry i'm just now seeing this! but I'm so proud of you for this- it takes serious courage to stand up and advocate for yourself. I hope this time she learns and hearing that from you changes her perspective. It may not but you gave it a chance and that's all you can do. I've learned to do it once and if they are dedicated to misunderstanding me then they're simply not worth it 🤷🏼♀️
Yeah no, the only time you can see my pain is when im doing a p.e. lesson and i end up sitting on the floor before i fall on it lol. Did that earlier, i swear the cold is making my pain flare up even more 😫. I cant even run, if i do i end up trying to take the weight of one of my legs and then hurt my other in the process 😭
Same! with my condition the colder my feet get the more painful it becomes and the weather can trigger flare ups as well and I've done damage to my right leg trying to compensate for my left over the years
@thelivinggamer6238 yeah, with me it's my knees, ankles and wrists, and as I'm hypermobile if I'm not really careful I hurt myself super easily and that makes my pain even worse
I'm hyperjointed too :) people get creeped out when I turn my elbow inside out lol 😂 it's one my favorite things to do to people to laugh at their reactions :)
@thelivinggamer6238 same lol. I like to do it where you spin you legs backwards. I can literally make it so one leg is facing completely backwards and one is halfway there. People are amazed lol

I hate it when people tell my mother "you look so good you sure you have cancer" yes asshole multiple myeloma for which there is no cure.
Oooof the ignorance FUELS me. Cancer doesn’t have a “look”. Sending you and your mom so much love 💙💙💙
