There's somebody who has like a collection of vintage audio equipment throughout the years and does displays at various things showing what a system looks like at various times and let certain systems were and keeps them operational. This is floating around the TH-cam somewhere.
German company. Fascinating stuff for me. I've been very curious about the history for quite some time, so it's really cool to have access to this content.
This is an amazing vintage rig …. The sound they made was so much warmer and cleaner then most system you will find today …. These newer systems yes are super compact but there’s a sacrific where you have to throw massive amounts of power to the driver, unlike this system, it was built in mind to work with the transient response of the drivers …. Look at danley sound labs Jericho j3-94 cabs … those do the same thing but built in a different way. Two of the Jericho j3-94 cabs can do a huge crowd prob close to 1000 people …. And these are their smaller cabs Anyways I would buy this system he has in a heartbeat and use it for Jamaican sound competitions
Thanks for the message! I don't know how many near complete systems like this are still out there from the era, but I hope we see more of them here in the future!
Wow.. seeing that system sent me back 30 years or so. Man, all the bigger acts toured with a big point source rig like that. The Judas Priest Painkiller tour used a rig like that and that was one of the loudest shows I've seen. The first time I seen a line array system I was so skeptical. It looked puny and it didn't seem as loud. But that was the time venues started setting db limits anyway. So instead of making your ears bleed with sheer volume, engineers started hitting you in the chest with bass.
15k, but you also need a pair of trucks, amp racks, fly hardware, cabling, etc... I can't see this being a rational business decision for anyone other than to part it out. If someone wants to deploy it for nostalgia, I'd go listen to it though.
It's going to take a unique buyer for sure. I know a few people who could pull it off, but I doubt they'd give up the warehouse space it needs just for nostalgia. Thanks for the message!
I’m sure with some good clean power from this era along with some late 90s process and Pm4k this system would totally sound warm. Great for a one off with black keys rival sun or kings of Leon
I always wanted to buy a giant pa rig and a big plot of land and invite bands but without ticketmaster or livenation being involved. No more thousand dollar tickets. And the band and the venue owner would get to keep the profits. Not the ticket devils. And I would have working and clean water stations for people to refill their water bottles so they can dance all day in the sun and be happy and healthy. And I wouldn't charge 500 dollars to park you car like every concert is a Taylor Swift concert. And Mass is beautiful. You live in a nice state. I like it as much as my state, NY.
I've been reselling electronics and vintage gear on eBay on and off since 2001 & I wouldn't envy anyone the job of parting out a system this big. Just trying to sell that many large vintage drivers online with shipping would be a challenge if you haven't done it before. I agree, it's probably the best way to get the most money here, but it would be a real amount of work to get them all sold and out the door piecemeal.
If I had the money and space I would have for sure bought it since it was used in Rod stewart's and Bob Seger concerts I know Bob Seger personally and for a brief time he lived right below me in my apt building in Florida.
That's wild, what an incredible story! Finding space to store a system this big certainly isn't getting any cheaper these days. Thanks for the watching & for the message.

Do you have a link to their stuff?
If you come across anything else let me know and post it in this comment.

Super cool video!
Appreciate the feedback, thanks for watching!
Look for Mick Whelan Minesota, he designed these boxes…
That's fantastic information, thanks so much for leaving this comment!

I’d love to purchase this rig for outdoor festivals here in MA
I would LOVE to visit MA this summer to make a video about this system with you! I’ll buy the beers if you buy the rig 🍻😂
