It's one of the best of that era. I suppose that's subjective, but... I would say there's no question. Just play the game. Gameplay, story, and oh man, Yasunori Shiono's music... damn fine work. I mean that ending, the Sinistrals, the tragedy, the heroics, I wanna name my son Maxim. Lol
I love how this theme is at once its own while still paying homage to the Temple of Fiends theme from from the end of Final Fantasy. Even the whole scene is, with teleportation to a place you cannot leave and the desperate crashing though battle after battle with difficult and terrifying enemies the heroes have already defeated now alive again before facing the horrible final boss. These are the things that make Japanese media so fulfilling.
You do incredible justice to the legendary original theme. Even if the series is dead, this theme is what made me first fall in love with it back in the 90s. I hold the Fortress of Doom theme in high regard among video game music, and I now I hold your incredible skills in that same regard. I wonder how you would handle Grandia music, specifically Battle 3, the battle theme that has no equal in my personal book.
This is a strong contender for my favorite tune in any game. Personally I prefer the arrangements in Fortress of Doom and The Legend Returns, but I'm thrilled to see any version.
Man, I played Lufia 2 when I was 15 and its music make me smile. This cover is awesome, I love how the violín sounds! Andrew, im glad I suscribed to your channel, im lucky to hear this kind of covers.
I still really like this game. Actually both Snes Lufia games. Never got to play the Game Boy games, which there were 3 of I think. There was supposed to be a fan made Lufia V game, not sure what happened to that
Also plays at the beginning of Lufia and The Fortress of Doom. "It's so dark" "I feel the energy" "A very dark energy. Beware, it's powerful!" "Selan, light magic!"
The interpretation of the song is really nice, but I am more surprised at 500+ likes and no dislikes. I do not think many videos make it to that much attention without finding people who dislike them.
Lufia 2 is one of those games that I rented excessively. Someone had a save game at the final dungeon, so I played it and didn't know WTF was going on. I beat it, then decided to start a new game and everything that happened in that game was one of the first memories of a story making me go "whoa." The music was definitely played a huge part in burning that into my memory.
Andrew, bro, you just keep picking some of the best tunes. Love this one. Always have, it's so inspiring. Thanks again for all the work you put into your covers.
Lufia 2 probably one of the most under rated SNES games
Most SNES RPGs are awesome
I totally agree with you! Great game!

That and Terranigma, also has a great score. Though I suppose Terranigma wasn't released everywhere and came pretty late in the SNES' life-cycle. :)
Definitely. Many, but this... this really shows how Shiono can shine. My sister already beat to it. She recently had a son named Max.
-It's so dark...
-I feel the energy.
-A very dark energy. Beware! It's powerful!
-Selan. Light magic.
as you wish

Lufia 2 is one of the best RPGs I've played, and the music is simply perfect

I did a brass band remix using noteworthy composer, love the critical chord in the crescendo
Last Duel is one of the most underrated songs IMHO. This is an amazing rendition!
When I heard Lufia 1's version of this song as the FIRST DUNGEON song my teenage self was fucking blown away
Man, I played Lufia 2 when I was 15 and its music make me smile. This cover is awesome, I love how the violín sounds! Andrew, im glad I suscribed to your channel, im lucky to hear this kind of covers.

Ouch. This one hit me right in the feels.

Great to see you on Lufia 2 tracks, that game has beautiful musics
I need to play Lufia someday, or at least watch a playthrough of it. It has some killer music.
Just listen to the music instead. It aged like milk.
Lufia 2 is still pretty great
I still really like this game. Actually both Snes Lufia games. Never got to play the Game Boy games, which there were 3 of I think.
There was supposed to be a fan made Lufia V game, not sure what happened to that
This song just isn't complete without a sexy trumpet solo :D Loved every bit of it!
psycosulu you know it ;)
Every once in a while I remember this masterpiece exists
Can't wait to hear Lufia 2 - The savior from you
I don't get how this channel doesn't have at least 15 million subs. :(
Also plays at the beginning of Lufia and The Fortress of Doom. "It's so dark" "I feel the energy" "A very dark energy. Beware, it's powerful!" "Selan, light magic!"
I love the rich sounds of both the SNES and Orchestral Fantasy!
May I say you are orchestral fantastic?😏🧐
The interpretation of the song is really nice, but I am more surprised at 500+ likes and no dislikes. I do not think many videos make it to that much attention without finding people who dislike them.
Omg the feels is unreal

Exquisite
Wow, how I loved the game Lufia 2!
I remember sweeting for neealy an hour fighting the dragon after finding several times all the dragon eggs
Absolutely nailed it! Most people mess up the bass line and kick drum, you were perfect. Very very nicely done.
This is an amazing homage to the original piece. I am enthralled. Bravo!
Kings
