Almost like people don’t want to pay 4K a month in perpetuity for a shoebox with annual rising strata fees.

It works only when you can stuff 10 people @ 500$/head in there.

It's called recession folks.. Nobody globally has free money. Now the market is genuine home buyer. They are sensible buyers. They want to make a family there not flip or rent.. And such people can't afford anymore..

Why not tax housing speculation and housing investors so homes can be owned by families instead of owned by the greedy wealthy class?

At this point, I'm honestly curious where the optimistic folks are expecting the money to come from.

One of the reasons is that first buyers like me are only looking at new houses. The price of old homes and new homes are too close to consider buying an old one. And even the new ones are getting a few thousand dollar cuts now and then.
Having 340k in stocks, being able to invest 4000$/monthly, I'm just waiting for all the people who paid too much to burn before saving them by buying their house at a discount. People really paid too much for their homes.....I could even buy a mini-house in the middle of nowhere with Starlink and send everyone to hel* in a few years haha

If you arent qualifying for a 1 million CHMC insured home, then you definitely arent affording 1.5mil LMAO. 7k+ mortgage payments monthly for 1mil+ mortgage? Who has that amount of cash and that 7k doesnt even include property taxes, and daily living expenses

Is this just speculation? I've been considering stocks to secure passive income, and I've set asides $250k to invest but, these are uncertain times. I'd appreciate useful tips regarding this.

stocks are overrated now. buy gold , 5% in crypto . rest in cash. and wait for the stock/property/land.
price to crash . but them after it stops dropping for 7 - 12 months at the bottom.

Best thing is to carry out extensive research and be on top of current events. Know how current events can alter share prices and apply logic over your emotions. This is what worked for me. Best of luck

Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a market analyst for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again.

I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value. I would be happy if you could advise me based on how you went about yours, as I am ready to go the passive income path.!!
