if u wanna have fun in neverland u gotta play it a bit competitive, cuz it feels nice when every single person in the top 100 is p2w but ur like top 10 as an f2p not a single cent spent
As a shameless Genshin Impact player… I really hope he never reviews it because: 1. He won’t like it 2. It’s hilarious that he never does Oh, and… 3. It’s not an mmorpg
@@triplespearmint a key aspect of mmorpgs that I expect which disqualifies Genshin from being an mmorpg is that you don’t see other players in the world without having to invite them to yours. But I suppose I don’t control the definition.
curse of aros is actually pretty good when you're playing with others, which is so easy to do because of one servwr averaging around 200 players. Almost all of them actually trades on the lobby, I played it and I traded with the players so much. Trading is a big part of Curse of Aros that being a lone wolf (mode that trading is perma disabled) is actaully a thing and is hard to do.
I like your humor and poetic expressions xD While simultaneously giving reviews to get an idea what these games are about , you're being practical and entertaining at the same time You got a sub, I'm looking forward to seeing your other videos
I dont know if im onlyone but sometimes i forget J1mmy and Idyl are 2 different people. Way they speak, atleast somewhat look and way to make videos are similar Oh and this is not hate for either of them. Just something i been thinking
The idea of marketing using AWS as a partnership is so fucking funny.. That's like me saying you partnered with apple because your game is on the app store
Neverland checks every single box on the p2w spectrum, and still manages to innovate new ways to add more boxes to their list of monetization sins. They have guild auction house where you bid premium currency on the rewards your guild earns for doing guild raid bosses, and you have to outbid your guild members to get the items. Your level exp is capped every day so you can only progress so much each day, and your only source of exp comes from a ridiculous, repetitive daily task. The entire world becomes very dull once you see it for what it really is. It's an expensive dress-up whale-eat-krill simulator
The way I use free-to-play games is to leverage waiting times to get small tasks done. There is an untapped market here somewhere for very LIGHTLY gamifying "productivity" THROUGH this mechanism. Not anything as involved as Habitica - I just want to be able to write in "take pills" and "clean shower" and have that show as my "ongoing task" when I am waiting for another quest or whatever. I can't be the only person who wants this. For a perfect game that serves this purpose, I would be entirely willing to pay a small monthly subscription (though it should be useable for free, just with less customizability).
Undecember, toram, avabel, adventure quest 3d, the world of magic iMO. There I give you more insight and better ones for your next not so terrible MMO mobile games
Undecember doesn’t appeal to me because I don’t like the top-down camera… same with Albion. Adventure Quest has basically N64 graphics and tiny zones to run back and forth in. Villagers and Heroes in my opinion is still the best, 13 years later. They just released a new zone for it yesterday.
This is like the 3rd time in the last year that you've hit me with Dreamscape Sound System, and everytime I feel like that meme where it's flashbacks to the war. Ty for that you beautiful bald man.
lowkey wanna see ur reaction to a game called ashtale: tales of wind. its japanese, not translated, and barely has an online wiki, but ive been playing it over two years. it was the first mmorpg i ever played so maybe thats why i keep at it, but i think its a pretty neat game. theres a lot of players, tons of events, and they even collab w big names like sanrio. there is an autoplay feature, but in the harder dungeons, the ai sucks so bad that its just better to play yourself. which isnt hard at all, its honestly nice that the game kinda forces you to ACTUALLY play and focus on what to do. my only real gripe w the game is that to be powerful, as in be able to kill the rlly high lvl monsters, you have to invest a whole bunch of money or time. which isnt exactly easy for most ppl, me included. so i find myself barely, if at all, surviving some of the late game stuff. not like reviewing a game will need you to get to late game, but still. maybe i just suck at mmorpgs but its still a really fun game despite the challenges. anyways, just thought it'd be cool to just mention it in case u have any plans of makin another vid, or a vid centered on non translated games. ps. the game isnt that hard to play despite it being untranslated. its mostly just click here, go there, kill this. i usually use autoplay for the quests bc, well, i cant read japanese, so i never really know where to go. but when a fight starts, i do it myself. keep up the good work brother
9:38 neverland is actually became semi idle in mid game and became almost pvpve combat in late game state. But one thing that made me stop playing it is the amount of PTW on this game that stop me from ever playing it but it was fun when doing clan quests
Idyl: Is that a daily log on system? Oh no. Its super predatory. Me: Oh, WoW has that now. Idyl moments later: Is that a season pass system? Me: Oh! WoW has that too now. Guys, I think WoW might be a bad mobile game.
Love your content, and the evolution towards floating on screen! I am curious if you maybe have a song list for music you use on your videos somewhere? Thanks!
I have generally mixed feelings about Neverland due to its early game. I did actually enjoy the game, and the main reason I kept pushing past the initial start was the idea of multiclassing. The game is not designed with auto play in mind once you’ve unlocked that. If you want to do a full rotation auto will not perform the swap in order to complete that rotation. It becomes an actual game, and the actual game is pretty fun. Even if some aspects are bare bones My biggest critique of the game comes from lack of skill variety in each class. I feel like all they need to do is add 2 more skills per class and it’d round everything out perfectly. The game is on the verge of having interesting builds and skill expression, but it just barely missed the mark. I enjoyed the game enough where the microtransactions were actually tempting, and that actually kind of annoyed me. Especially since the fairies come with their own active skills. Which means your build variety is inherently tied to gambling…what the fuck
I want Idyl to try Haven and Hearth. its not really an MMO in a classic sense but it has all the MMO hallmarks. Also its releasing on Steam Nov 1st and it'll probably have the biggest population it may ever have (its been actively developed for at over a decade at this point)
I know you're making jokes about Curse of Aros being similar to RuneScape, but fun fact if you didn't know; Curse of Aros is made by the creator of BattleScape which was a large RuneScape private server for many years. So yeah, it's gonna be really similar to RuneScape. I played it but the game gets kinda mundane, it may be better these days though.
God damn that’s the greatest bit of comedy and you couldn’t have possibly written it. “Don’t use auto clicker I am admin” immediately cut to an ad for adventure communist

Honestly don't care about MMOs or a lot of the stuff you post about, but watch all your vids because gosh damn do you make me laugh (and my life kinda sucks so I sure do appreciate that)!!
I played Warspear for several hours in the past and can confirm, it's a fun game. Well... Was at least for one year playing. The level up is indeed slow, even with all xp boosts, clan boosts etc still takes 1 month at minimum to reach the maximum level (34). The only way to level up in this game is by doing quests, and man, they are boring. BUT, if you can get past the first and second maps (around 30 hours if you know what you are doing) it starts to get fun. It's the kind of game that you need to watch some sorta of a guide till you know how to do the quests properly. Microtransations exist and they are very HEAVY later on (after lvl 20, where the monsters becomes way too strong and the game forces you to buy something). The toxicity is another negative point, as the game is divided by factions where every week players go to war with the oposite faction, the competition is fun but the toxicity of the players (even from your side) is too much to be worth it. Honestly, even if I had a lot of fun playing this game in the past, it takes a lot of days to get good and in my opinion it is just not worth it. Great video, I played some of the other games you named and you made some good analysis.
