    This is by far the BEST review! I've watched many Eyoyo reviews and I didn't know there was that much of a difference between the different versions, just saw the battery pack was different. Also with the upgraded battery pack it has connectors that you can attach to larger screens/monitors if need be, You could even swap it out for a larger battery in the future too.
    Thank you!! I'm going with the upgraded one, costs almost double with 9inch screen, but will be a life timer

    What a supreme review! You've sold me. The next possible option for me is about $400 and these now run $220. Wish I had seen your video two months ago. Pike season ends soon and our ice will be unsafe in a few weeks anyway. I'll get it for spring fishing perch from my boat. I hope the screen shows well in bright sunlight.

    I have a 2 tips for everyone.
    1). To control and aim the camera better (unless you find a better way), cut a hole in the bottom of a five gallon bucket just large enough for the camera to fit down in it. Turn the bucket upside down. You’ll have to get a 4” foam ball (amazon or a flower store should have them) and cut into it half way to the center for the cable just wide enough to be slide the camera cable and hold it tight inside to that half way mark. This will enable you to slide the cable up and down in the foam to be long enough to be through the bucket and into the water as far as you want. Turn on your camera and move the foam in a slow horizontal circle to hold the cable steady when you find the view you desire. Without the foam ball or other form of keeping the camera from spinning on the cable and waiting forever to stop with each adjustment of view direction which will happen. Without the foam trick, it’s hard to do as adding weight to the camera will cause it to sink in soft bottoms. I prefer my camera to be just about a 6” 8” down in the water with the cable attached by a single white clip on the back of the camera. That’s where it can gather the most light and sits at an angle. You can lower it to near bottom by pulling more cable through the foam if desired angle is from below.
    2). As far as the cables go, the set of two cables for the battery are self evident with them being black and yellow from the screen to the battery. There has been many reviews where people are a little confused as to what cables connect from the battery to the camera.
    Simply label both sides of each of the 3 cables as 1,2 and 3. Label the black, short male (short pronged) to the red that goes to the camera #1. The red and yellow other cables become self evident now. Dang, I’m done! Peace!

      @johnzach8528 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Once I get my underwater camera, I plan to cut out a circular piece from a foam mat that covers an 8 inch hole generously, cut a hole in it just wide enough for the cable to pass through easily, and then attach a long clip to the cable to keep it in place, and I can make micro-adjustments by slightly turning the clip. Excited to see how it works. It's just a little more compact than a bucket over the hole.

      @@chrislaprise398 Thanks! Gonna buy a bunch of foam gym mats for the floor of my pop-up and for sealing away non-insulated tip-ups, and this of course. I'll try to remember to come back to this and tell how it works this coming winter.

    • @chrislaprise398
      @chrislaprise398 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnzach8528 I originally ordered rubber mats, lol. Way too heavy! I got some foam that is so much lighter for the floor. Even mapped out where everything goes in, hole for camera, fishing holes equipment and chairs on graph paper. Hopefully next ice season is great. Also for finding weed edges and fish I bought a Lawrence hook 2 reveal with side and bottom scan plus sonar. The side scan can look 100 ft in each direction! Then I know exactly where to put the shanty! Looking forward to your report this winter.

    OMB- Am heading to canada for a week of ice fishing at the end of Feb and after viewing your video am considering an underwater camera to make the experience even more fun. I typically get about 2 week long ice fishing trips a year and don't want to invest a ton of $ if it doesn't add value to the experience. Do you think the eyoyo 720 version would provide a reasonable picture quality in low light conditions (canadian ice is typically thick 4+ feet with snow cover).

    • @OldMinnowBoy
      @OldMinnowBoy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Dan, thanks for watching! I've never personally used mine under that much ice, however, based on my experience, I would guess that you'd likely only get reasonable quality for a handful of the brightest hours of the day - like 11AM - 2PM-ish. Once you lose high sun, the quality degrades pretty quickly. Hope you have an awesome trip!
