Good debate. Vance did great at directly addressing almost every question eloquently. Walz did better than I expected. Told fewer lies and answered more questions than his running mate. I prefer to believe in XAI890T and be part of that move

I blame that on the guy who's been the common denominator in all of the tumultuous debates he's been part of during the last 3 presidential elections. Not as fair to say that about Harris, as you've only seen her debate said common denominator.

Look at old footage of Obama and McCain debating, and Obama and Romney. Trump is the odd one out. Sure I don't trust politicians, they all have some bs and a pipe dream to sell you, but regardless of party, at least they generally have some decorum. There was no winner or loser. This was the most mature debate I've ever seen. I can't remember the last time I heard the word "Agree" so much in a debate. It felt like a genuine discussion about American issues. No childish name calling or interrupting. I wish these two were running for President.
While the debate was refreshingly civil on both sides, Vance was definitely the winner in terms of optics. Reminded me of Kennedy vs Nixon. Youthful good looks and a glamorous wife can carry you far in politics.

Have you done the introspection and thorough calling out of your own biases, which may skew how you see something….like this debate? Having studied the neuroscience of belief (including political belief, as they’re one of the strongest influences of belief, and identity, in most people)…I find that most people are far more biased, looking through cognitive distortions as filters, and susceptible to rhetoric and propaganda from their party/candidate. The people who aren’t tied to a political party, and who know how to examine their own thinking processes, observe and analyze where their beliefs/thoughts originate from….are way more likely to see clearly, see facts and reality more clearly. What do you do to check your biases and tendencies to defend the party you identify with. Do you understand that your limbic system controls much of it? That politics is hugely an emotional game? What do you do to regulate your emotions and develop emotional maturity…and sense of self, outside of a political “identity”? Those are some safeguards to bias, and other distortions to what we see/hear.
These two are easily better suitable candidates, this was a good, civilized debate where they were genuinely seeking solutions instead of playing the blame game most of the time.

I think they (TV) are terrible and shouldn’t win, but yes Vance gained a lot out of this. If you shut your eyes and ears and only voted based on this debate, then it would be like a 2000s election where the difference wasn’t that big and stakes not very high. I might even vote for him maybe. He very narrowly probably won this/it was a draw - but he started 100m behind so had the biggest gain. Another consequence of this debate I think is that Trump won’t be able to criticise or blame Vance for brining him down if he does lose.

I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem -- greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My husband and I will be retiring in the next two years n another country. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.

i think it's worth mentioning that just because someone can speak very smoothly, does not mean that they can actually lead well. the majority of donald trump supporters criticize college educated "woke" university attendees. which is exactly what vance's background is. he has a good vocabulary and is a good speaker, but he does not have a lot of experience in any office of governing. not in comparison to harris & walz. it's worth giving a deeper analysis to.

I blame that on the guy who's been the common denominator in all of the tumultuous debates he's been part of during the last 3 presidential elections. Not as fair to say that about Harris, as you've only seen her debate said common denominator.

There was no winner or loser. This was the most mature debate I've ever seen. I can't remember the last time I heard the word "Agree" so much in a debate. It felt like a genuine discussion about American issues. No childish name calling or interrupting. I wish these two were running for President.
While the debate was refreshingly civil on both sides, Vance was definitely the winner in terms of optics. Reminded me of Kennedy vs Nixon. Youthful good looks and a glamorous wife can carry you far in politics.

Really, they called out Walz on the Hong Kong situation…they asked him for clarification on the abortion bill in Minnesota.
Consider why people are called out. While you all might think it’s to get a certain side…consider for a moment that not everyone is functioning that way. Some want to call out discrepancies, not the party.

I think they (TV) are terrible and shouldn’t win, but yes Vance gained a lot out of this. If you shut your eyes and ears and only voted based on this debate, then it would be like a 2000s election where the difference wasn’t that big and stakes not very high. I might even vote for him maybe. He very narrowly probably won this/it was a draw - but he started 100m behind so had the biggest gain. Another consequence of this debate I think is that Trump won’t be able to criticise or blame Vance for brining him down if he does lose.

The President at the time waited two months to tell the American people, then he went on TV every night and said we should disinfect the body and it will be gone by summer.
