The seller did this so you can’t report them as a scam so they can keep doing what they are doing because they know that people will find out the Pokémon are hacked so they report you as soon as they sell you the cheated mons
I think the first team was made for singles, it would explain why gholdengo was so bulky and had that moveset, why tinkaton had stealth rock, and so on, which don't make sense for doubles but make sense for singles (even though you go with mons from ubers all the way down to UU so I don't know what the seller was cooking).

Okay, the funniest part about the "win in two turns" team is that I faced that exact team in GC 2. It is, in fact, Flower Trick Meowscarada and Anger Point Krookodile, who KOs or ejects his own teammate with Earthquake after going to +6 and then Flamigo switches in. They lost in two turns when Bundle destroyed Krookodile. 😂😂 Now the way that they messed up using the Sableye makes a lot more sense if they'd never used it before (my opponent Shadow Sneaked something for minimal damage and then attempted to Fake Out on its second turn out; I chalked it up to a misclick).

@@Pacmanfan-po9rn it used to be a decent strat in series 1 to endure with tatsugiri and somehow pivot with the other pokemon while bringing tatsu into toxic orb/black sludge range, usually via final gambit or u-turn as it let you get out a second pokemon alongside boosted dozo fast. Now most people just use tatsugiri normally.
There’s a lot of issues with the krook/meow team, but one of the things about the meow set I find weird is the lack of any attack outside of flower trick on a -atk set. Meow has access to stab foul play, you should almost always be running that on an anger point team like this so it’s not useless after the initial proc.
The second guy stole a team from another youtuber 😂. I remember seeing the video explaining everything: he used -attack meowscarada to hit krookodile so that it barely just lives to activate salac berry, and activates anger point… but yeah I didn’t like the team that much since it was weird
That second team was actually made popular by another TH-camr during VGC Series 1. Besides the tera types and all I think it’s an exact replica of theirs

The first team looks like a Singles team actually. It'd explain why there's a Stealth Rock Tinkaton, and Defensive Gholdengo is pretty good for BSS. Thrash HS Garchomp is still insane though

They try to be endearing to hook you but they miss the fact that calling you dear out of the blue is weird. Back in 2010 or so I used to buy WoW gold and thats the exact same way the sellers spoke to me
Calling someone dear (亲) is very standard online costumer service in China, regardless of your level of shadyness. It's considered friendly and cute, but it's only used online afaik cause it's pretty awkward to use irl. Unless you're a shameless salesman I guess lol

Competitive Pokémon is tons of fun I highly recommend starting with singles and work your way up to vgc there’s tons of discords that can improve your skills as a battler as well
The Krookodile/Meowscarada team was actually stolen from a small TH-camr named Shanaha. They posted a couple videos on this team. The first one only explains and uses the first four mons, while the second one they pull out indeedee hatterene. Turns out, the Sableye and Meowscarada having Skill Swap is so they can Skill Swap the Flamigo's Costar and gain max attack and +1 speed, should the Krookodile die. Tera rock is to give Rock Slide STAB when there's a Flying type or a Levitator on the field. I recommend finding their video on it and watching it, as the Ebay scammer only said "Win in 2 turns" and the actual video gives a deeper dive into the team
I think prankster skill swap is to take costar from flamigo (or can be targeted in terrain since it is flying) and get the stat boosts onto sableye as well, with the attack investment to capitalise on it.

He does use cheated pokemon. Hes still more skilled than most VGC players though A lot of his accusers overlook that virtually all VGC players have cheated pokemon; cheated pokemon dont always have obvious flaws, if the player doesnt notice it + it passes the hack check, how is it illegal?
So I actually really really enjoy seeing you take teams and reviewing them and giving ideas for improvements. Obviously in the context of this video it's a bit on the funny side because we know these are scams. But in a general sense for those of us who could be better team builders, it's really fun and insightful to hear why X thing wouldn't work or why Y thing would be an improvement without undermining the original intent of the team.

@@cassidy1768 I'd say the team's design was probably decided at launch day, and back then the understanding for competitive teams has not been established yet for Scarlet/Violet. It's reasonable to assume they just don't want to put in effort to study the game, although it doesn't really make a difference since selling "competitive" teams that ain't that competitive at such a price is not very justifiable.
This video makes me remember that a long time ago, when i was a kid, in Pokemon Sun, i got traded a shiny Mew that was clearly hacked, but at the time i was, confused, but really happy! I didnt know that it was hacked, so i did not understand why would they trade it away, even when its really rare, so i cared a lot about it, sadly my 3DS is dead so i cant see it anymore, but somehow, i still remember who traded it to me, so thanks whoever MitsukiTV is! I dont know if its a bot, or it was just spam, but i remember getting that Mew like if it was yesterday :D!
Mitsuki, along with a lot of others, are trade bots that give away hacked shiny legendaires and mythicals and other things that can’t normally be traded over wonder trade. They’re genned to remove what normally prevents them from being traded. The streams are up basically 24/7 on Twitch
i have a bunch of hacked shiny legends/mythicals cause i used to trade alot on reddit during gen 6 and they were just fun to collect. one day ill get a legit shiny mew but since my only opportunity was a pogo research i missed ill keep my hacked one until maybe in another 10 years we’ll get it again lol.

@WolfeyVCG from one Wolf to another, and not seeing it in the comment section. The first team somewhat kind of says it, but not clearly... its for RAIDs, that's why they are all bulk based EVs, in raids it's more about NOT dying and losing time. Though usually you also have set up moves on those as well... But they aren't for "Competitive" as in VGC/Singles, they are for 7 star "hard" Raids.
What I do is come up with an idea for a team, test it out on Showdown, make changes as needed and if I like it, then I will train up my mons naturally in SV. It's so much fun grinding knowing it's gonna be legit.
In regards to the “Win in one turn” team. Yeah, it does NOT work if you know what’s coming. I recently built a Snow Team, and my usual leads are Abomasnow/Sableye, Sableye to Fake Out specific threats and Abomasnow to set Aurora Veil immediately. While testing it on Showdown (OU Doubles because the team uses H-Zoroark) I encountered the exact team. Protect is definitely to keep the strategy from failing, either because of an Early Eject on Meowscarada or a death to Krookadile, that much I figured, but uh… +6 252 Atk Krookodile Earthquake vs. 168 HP / 56 Def Abomasnow in Snow with an ally's Aurora Veil: 119-140 (32.7 - 38.5%) -- 99.1% chance to 3HKO Did _basically nothing_ to my Abomasnow, who simply clicked Blizzard, wounding the incoming Flamigo. The rest of the team was definitely backup. It still lost though.
Not even just with Pokémon, anytime I'm looking for something if I see the listing claim "legitimate" I have to actually check the pictures even more carefully to make sure it isn't fake and reverse image search the pictures
I’ve actually tested a bit more with an anger point kroon team, if you invest in sp def and hp, got for a sp def nature, and tera steel, you EAT UP flutter manes dazzling gleam and other special attacks lol it’s so funny when it works but it has a lot of ways to fail, but still a fun team to run around with
in the vgc championships 50% of all pokemons are hacked. Even one of the winner used a whole team of hacked pokemon… it was all revealed by the official organizers

Back in B/W and X/Y I was helping new players get Pokemon to breed with If they didn't have anything yet / didn't want to invest the time into getting started or whatever. BUT I actively asked them for which pokemon, egg moves, nature, ability and hidden power instead of just saying "buy this and you win!!!111!" I guess I was too legit... and now it's so easy to get all of that anyway.... FeelsBadMan
It's probably better overall though. At the end of the day, many, probably most, competitors had genned teams. Nowadays with the lower ceiling it's unnecessary to do that, so legitimacy has undoubtedly gone up
With scarlet and violet it is so easy to make a good team... you can literly buy every thing for ev/dv training and to get breedable moves they made mirrorherb the hardest will be to get is ability patch and the shards for the type

People will offer rare shinies that they find, then when someone buys it they send the seller their friend code and their location, so the seller will spoof their location to be close enough to trade. People were selling shiny Noibat for $40 each, and then Noibat had a community day shortly after 😂

There is a notable problem I’ve noticed with people buying Pokémon online. It’s not always obvious, but it’s usually the people with full shiny teams or the dead giveaway, a website name for the Pokémon. Made even worse by the fact that a lot of places you can actually buy these Pokémon gives them perfect EV’s and IV’s. But it’s really fun because they almost always rage quit if they start to lose. They can’t handle the clodsire sweep.

I got that very Mewtwo star card from a pack and then one day I was playing Pokémon outside, got called in to lunch by my mum and then it rained like crazy and the card was ruined, just has irreversible water damage. Lesson learned: never go outside it's not worth it.

Spotting fake cards on eBay is pretty easy as long as you know what to look for. And if a seller refuses to give you more pics when asked, then it's probably fake.
The reason why you were permanently suspended is because it's a shady seller trick. This happened to me shortly after buying a "gaming pc" for $300 that turned out to be nothing more than your average office desktop. What they do is report you for some bs claim and Ebay doesn't really look into it.

Feel like the takeaway here is not only that you shouldnt buy teams from ebay, if rentals are a thing, but also that you shouldnt buy items from games that you can just get yourself for free in general.

A lot of his accusers overlook that virtually all VGC players have cheated pokemon; cheated pokemon dont always have obvious flaws, if the player doesnt notice it + it passes the hack check, how is it illegal?

Obviously in the context of this video it's a bit on the funny side because we know these are scams. But in a general sense for those of us who could be better team builders, it's really fun and insightful to hear why X thing wouldn't work or why Y thing would be an improvement without undermining the original intent of the team.

These scammers are genuinely malicious, it'd take the same amount of effort to make a good team, yet they choose to make the worst possible teams.

@@Manelneedsaname That's the thing, if they just copypasted something, they'd end up with an (accidentally) decent team, at least using most sources when you look up "Competitive Team Scarlet Violet", this was either randomized by a bot, or purposely done to scam people, without even giving them the satisfaction of a usable team, and considering Wolfey was reported by them and suspended off of ebay, I'm leaning more towards malicious intent.
@@cassidy1768 I'd say the team's design was probably decided at launch day, and back then the understanding for competitive teams has not been established yet for Scarlet/Violet. It's reasonable to assume they just don't want to put in effort to study the game, although it doesn't really make a difference since selling "competitive" teams that ain't that competitive at such a price is not very justifiable.

This video makes me remember that a long time ago, when i was a kid, in Pokemon Sun, i got traded a shiny Mew that was clearly hacked, but at the time i was, confused, but really happy! I didnt know that it was hacked, so i did not understand why would they trade it away, even when its really rare, so i cared a lot about it, sadly my 3DS is dead so i cant see it anymore, but somehow, i still remember who traded it to me, so thanks whoever MitsukiTV is! I dont know if its a bot, or it was just spam, but i remember getting that Mew like if it was yesterday :D!
I got a shiny Deoxys from someone and I think I might have gotten a shiny Manaphy from MitsukiTV too!
Mitsuki, along with a lot of others, are trade bots that give away hacked shiny legendaires and mythicals and other things that can’t normally be traded over wonder trade. They’re genned to remove what normally prevents them from being traded. The streams are up basically 24/7 on Twitch
i have a bunch of hacked shiny legends/mythicals cause i used to trade alot on reddit during gen 6 and they were just fun to collect.
one day ill get a legit shiny mew but since my only opportunity was a pogo research i missed ill keep my hacked one until maybe in another 10 years we’ll get it again lol.

The first team somewhat kind of says it, but not clearly... its for RAIDs, that's why they are all bulk based EVs, in raids it's more about NOT dying and losing time. Though usually you also have set up moves on those as well... But they aren't for "Competitive" as in VGC/Singles, they are for 7 star "hard" Raids.

What I do is come up with an idea for a team, test it out on Showdown, make changes as needed and if I like it, then I will train up my mons naturally in SV. It's so much fun grinding knowing it's gonna be legit.

In regards to the “Win in one turn” team.
Yeah, it does NOT work if you know what’s coming. I recently built a Snow Team, and my usual leads are Abomasnow/Sableye, Sableye to Fake Out specific threats and Abomasnow to set Aurora Veil immediately. While testing it on Showdown (OU Doubles because the team uses H-Zoroark) I encountered the exact team.
Protect is definitely to keep the strategy from failing, either because of an Early Eject on Meowscarada or a death to Krookadile, that much I figured, but uh…

Did _basically nothing_ to my Abomasnow, who simply clicked Blizzard, wounding the incoming Flamigo.
The rest of the team was definitely backup. It still lost though.

Not even just with Pokémon, anytime I'm looking for something if I see the listing claim "legitimate" I have to actually check the pictures even more carefully to make sure it isn't fake and reverse image search the pictures
I’ve actually tested a bit more with an anger point kroon team, if you invest in sp def and hp, got for a sp def nature, and tera steel, you EAT UP flutter manes dazzling gleam and other special attacks lol it’s so funny when it works but it has a lot of ways to fail, but still a fun team to run around with

in the vgc championships 50% of all pokemons are hacked. Even one of the winner used a whole team of hacked pokemon… it was all revealed by the official organizers

I'm pretty sure that the Krookodile team isn't even the seller's original idea: it was a youtuber who originally came up with the idea (and actually uses it well).
Unless you can't use hypertrained, or nature minted mons in competitive battles, I have no idea why someone would buy a Pokemon team. This whole situation seems absolutely ridiculous to me!

Back in B/W and X/Y I was helping new players get Pokemon to breed with If they didn't have anything yet / didn't want to invest the time into getting started or whatever. BUT I actively asked them for which pokemon, egg moves, nature, ability and hidden power instead of just saying "buy this and you win!!!111!" I guess I was too legit... and now it's so easy to get all of that anyway.... FeelsBadMan

Nowadays with the lower ceiling it's unnecessary to do that, so legitimacy has undoubtedly gone up
With scarlet and violet it is so easy to make a good team... you can literly buy every thing for ev/dv training and to get breedable moves they made mirrorherb
the hardest will be to get is ability patch and the shards for the type
If you get lucky surprise trading, a lot of the hacked shinies have been carrying around ability patches.
@@wayIess well my point was that you don't need anything hacked... and when you need luck at a trade for a hacked patch... than you can farm tera raids and event raids for the patches... you just have to grind and be lucky

People will offer rare shinies that they find, then when someone buys it they send the seller their friend code and their location, so the seller will spoof their location to be close enough to trade. People were selling shiny Noibat for $40 each, and then Noibat had a community day shortly after 😂
These teams just seem like a person without competitive knowledge looked up the most commonly used pokemon, opened PKhex, and just gave them moves that _looked_ powerful

There is a notable problem I’ve noticed with people buying Pokémon online. It’s not always obvious, but it’s usually the people with full shiny teams or the dead giveaway, a website name for the Pokémon. Made even worse by the fact that a lot of places you can actually buy these Pokémon gives them perfect EV’s and IV’s.
But it’s really fun because they almost always rage quit if they start to lose. They can’t handle the clodsire sweep.
If you're buying Pokemon off ebay.. you kinda deserve to be scammed. This is what every game since the dawn of the Internet has warned us against
I think the ebay description of the first team specified tera raids- which would explain the heavy HP investment and some of the item/moveset/tera type choices
I got that very Mewtwo star card from a pack and then one day I was playing Pokémon outside, got called in to lunch by my mum and then it rained like crazy and the card was ruined, just has irreversible water damage. Lesson learned: never go outside it's not worth it.

Spotting fake cards on eBay is pretty easy as long as you know what to look for. And if a seller refuses to give you more pics when asked, then it's probably fake.
The reason why you were permanently suspended is because it's a shady seller trick. This happened to me shortly after buying a "gaming pc" for $300 that turned out to be nothing more than your average office desktop. What they do is report you for some bs claim and Ebay doesn't really look into it.

Defiant only works when the enemy lowers your stats, sadly your own bulldoze wont work to give you the attack boost 😢
