I have had the pixel 2xl for about 5 years now. I bought it refurbed and just recently flashed pixel experience Android twelve on it. I have zero complaints about this daily driver. Battery surely has seen better days but that's to be expected. But I do plan on daily driving this beast until developers have given up in it or the battery gives out. Great video!
I have the non XL version which I bought on Ebay last year for £80. It was in great condition, battery is great and it's the best phone I have ever owned. I've been really pleased with it and think I'll be sticking to the Pixel range - though I have no plans to give up the 2 just yet. Tempted to pick up an XL to replace my work phone.
I've been a Pixel 2XL user since Black Friday 2017. This has been the BEST phone I've ever owned. I'm looking forward to upgrading to the Pixel 7 later this year.
I just got one for back up, really like it so far, I had only had one other pixel phone the 4 which the poor battery ruined the experience, I took it back. Pixel does have unique phones and everybody loves the cameras. Havnt had the chance to test it out fully yet. Great review, subscribed, thanks much.
I moved from pixel 2 to pixel 3 to pixel 4 , and I noticed pixel 4 comes out blurry when there is motion and there is a lot of auto white balance issue , pixel 2 didn't have both these issues. Also pixel 4 is sticky in terms of motion metering and auto focus , In terms of taking quick pictures of kids, cars , pet, pixel 2 is still a beast.
@@mrstangblb Well mate...... The new android 12 update of lineage is not that great now tbh. Try Pixel Experience ROM. The flashing process is a bit different but its a great ROM. There is also ArrowOS and ProtonAOSP.
I still have the Pixel 2 XL(white and black version). Only real issue that I have is that every few times or so when I swipe to the discover page, the phone reboots, which can be annoying, not sure if that can be fixed.
Same issue with my pixel 2xl . I am using since 2018 and I am loving it Random reboot. I am still missing front firing duel speaker in other pixel models. That's why I am not upgrading my mobile 😊
🐼. I am using it these days, the design is always fantastic. For the next few days I will put my pixel 6 to rest to enjoy this splendid masterpiece again.
@@DamienWilde yup, I'd highly suggest. It improves the battery life to an extent as well. Maybe because it doesn't have all those unnecessary google services running in the background!
@@MA-th4ts the one I've got is one my father had used. He's notorious for always having it on charger and keeping screen on, so it does have burn in on the screen, but I (still) chalk that up to how he abuses his phones
Can I possibly know the screen protector you're using on you pixel 2xl? I know this was from a long time ago but I really like how the screen protector looks on your device.
I'm still using my PIxel 2XL. I got it when Best Buy first had it out. Google or BB has some kind of sale with $300 off (amortized of the life of the payments of course)? I've had a case on my from day 1 so it still looks like new. It runs fine for me. I always liked the styling of it. I just used it to shoot photos and video at the Six Hours of the Glen this past weekend at Watkins Glen International. I'm not a gamer, so I don't use it for that. Nor do I watch YT videos on my phones. The only issue I'm seeing that affects me is batter life. It just recently began to discharge faster. I really like the fingerprint scanner on the back. I'm going to miss that when it's time to move on. As for app delays....it's the only phone I've used since 2017, so I don't know any different. But, I'm not an impatient user who finds it a problem. This past weekend it was my navigation tool via Android Auto and it worked without a hitch. All-in-all I still love my Pixel 2XL.
you think for 170 bucks it is worth it? i think its a great phone and schould do it really fine for me, espacially, because i dont need a top of the line spec bump. My todays phone, oneplus 8t, has given up its life lately and i don't have much money to buy a new phone in any way.
Watching this video in my Pixel 2 XL.

Change the battery as it costs less than a new phone
Change battery, it will feel like a new phone, done it twice now

real worth for money... still works good... having Pixel2XL since September 2018

I'm still on pixel 2xl
The phone is been through some very rough use due to my job but it's still going strong 💪
Is it upgradeable upto 12?

Bought a refurbished new pixel 2xl couple of months ago. Rocking lineageOS 12. Its the best smartphone experience I have ever had in this budget.
May I ask for the link you bought it from?
@@jonathancruz1822 I bought it from my local market. Sorry no link.
I'm planning on putting Lineage on tonight. Glad to hear it is great!

Currently running Pixel 2XL with Lineage OS 19.1
Runs like butter! Smooth clean and fast
🤔 worth trying? Always been interested in LineageOS. Maybe I'll give it a test drive...

If this phone didn't have so many issues I would of kept it. Icon for sure.

Buen video, aún tengo mi pixel 2XL....las fotos son geniales aún.
👍 great to hear / 👍 genial de escuchar
Can it play apex legends?
And pls what are all the issues, like does it stutter when opening apps or multitasking and does it lag?
Have a blue pixel 2 xl sitting in my phone drawer. Use it for around the house stuff (ie Google home or Pandora) when I don't want to use my daily
We need more blue phones imo
@@DamienWilde I tend to agree that there should be more color choices in phones - but I think most get covered due to their cases so 🤷♂️
Great video as always 🐼
I have the chance to get it brand new in a few days, is it still fully usable as a daily driver in 2022? Greetings
I'm an iphone user for a few years now, and if they brought out an updated version in the Pixel 2XL form factor, I'd swap in a heartbeat.
It's an awesome phone for under 150 brand new! I don't think anyone sells it anymore, however.
