  • 6 pigs processed, preserved and packaged to provide meat for a community of self reliant families in the Pigeon Hills area of Pennsylvania.
follow the process from farm to table.
our family sourced the hogs from a local farmer, who's now out of the business sadly. So our family is now raising our own feeder pigs for pork, lard, bacon and our secret family recipe for panhaus (scrapple).
the Pigeon Hill Pioneers bluegrass band doubles as butchers by day. Jamin has professional experience in the butcher shop and the other guys have decades of experience processing deer and hogs and chickens for meat in their backyard butcher shop.

Well those Blue Heelers/cattle dogs can trace their ancestry back to Australia and they have some Dingo blood in them, to cope with the harsh outback conditions when mustering cattle. Great video from Australia.
