As soon as I saw this dog, my intuition said there's husky blood in him. He just might be recognizing his own cousins. I've had Alaskan Malamutes and huskies all my life, and they absolutely know & gravitate to their own kind.

My sweet cat was very concerned when she heard him yelling. She always runs and wants to comfort anyone if they're in distress. She's be very busy with your sweet boy. 😁He's such a cutie. ❤️

Hes very sweet. My cat was deaf, instead of looking for me in the house, she would go to the central point and just shout loudly for me to come. She died recently, i really miss her.
So very sorry for your loss. Can't even imagine what this must be like for you. Couldn't even contemplate life without my doggo. Hope you get a new cat when you feel ready, in honour of her. ❤

I have 2 huskies, and it def seems like normal husky screaming haha! He looks like a good boy.
Everything you described about this bundle of loveliness is pure Siberian Husky. Doesn't respond to doorbell, talks/screams as if in a horror movie, must be involved in every conversation, full of energy, "way louder than he thinks he is" etc. This behaviour is nothing to do with being deaf, just to being a Husky 😊

Huskies become VERY vocal around other huskies. And judging by your dogs eyes, he might just be getting excited when he sees a cousin.

Maybe their dog wants to be with them too, not held in solitary confinement by arrogant owners who puts their dogs on drugs based on arrogant misguided perceptions of their own dogs' behaviour.
My dog is a husky mix. And every time we tell him he’s a German Shepherd, he just gives us a blank stare. But when we tell him he’s a husky, he tilts his head and lets out the loudest bark. It’s the funniest thing ever.

We had a wonderful dog who lost her hearing but for a while she could hear clapping -( to come) , & she could understand some signs & gestures.
Poor dog. I hope his anxiety gets better.

Very often (not always), it seems pale blue eyes are genetically assoc. w/congenital deafness. If there's one blue eye, it's possible to be deaf on that side as well. Same deal for cats. Good to keep this in mind if you're at a shelter--you can test if the dog or cat responds to sound on either side. 🐶
Deaf dogs are just as wonderful as any other dog. He's beautiful and he's definitely a husky... maybe thats why he reacts when he sees them. My brother had a deaf dog growing up, she was an albino boxer named Ice. We taught her everything with hand commands and would stomp so she would know we were close and not get frightened. She was beautiful 😍 I hope more people adopt animals who are different, they're so loving and worth it

My senior dog was deaf her last couple years and it was kinda cool not having to deal with her paramoia around fireworks and minimal noises outside the front door.

my dog is 16 and deaf and it has been a great thing for her. She was really anxious her first 14 years of life, the deafness made her the happiest she has ever been. It honestly is not been an issue, but I do always worried about her getting off leash and calling her back..

Funniest thing about it is he looks almost like my Cream and Copper Husky but without the copper coloring. Mine has a pink pig nose 🐽 too and the same double ice blue eyes. He’s not deaf but he has depth perception problems and end-O’s into the furniture and walls because he thinks he has more space I suppose. 😅 Shelter pups just have a way of being grateful for the second chance ❤ best of luck to y’all

I have three huskies that are rescues and my white husky also sounds like he’s being hurt when he screams of excitement especially on his walks because he loves other animals and people so much. It was kind of awkward at first because I didn’t want people to think he was hurt but most just laugh when he does it. I’ve had huskies almost my whole life and they are my favourite breed. They are crazy fun with personalities like no other. They completely have my heart. ❤ Rescuing is lots of work, patience, time, and the reward is so worth it once they realize they are safe and so very loved. ❤

Also, signing with any dog is a great idea. Just like people, many dogs lose some degree of hearing as they age. If you’re lucky enough to have the privilege of living with a vintage puppy, you’ll be rewarded (in so many wonderful ways!) for establishing that form of communication.

We have a deaf cat and she's just as loud. The first time she ever escaped the house, you could have sworn she was being murdered and the neighbours all came out to see what was going on. It was so embarrassing 😳. She just got lost two doors up. No internal GPS for her. Haha. I love deaf pets they are the best.
