“Neither of them have anything to worry about like Ron does.” The fact that you picked up on Ron’s fear of losing his family and having no way to protect them the way Harry and Hermione can without reading the books is impressive🙌🏾
YES thank you!! they’re like the only reactors- and I mean the ONLY ones- to realize Ron’s position instead of jumping on his ass and hating him immediately. They actually try to understand where he’s coming from, which is not easily done. Well done!! 👏👏
@@whitenoisereacts LOL yeah I understand. he’s only frustrating in the movies tho 😂 he’s awesome in the books, but I guess we have to go by the movie here
@@ulti87 He's still frustrating in the books, he was one of my least favourite characters and one of the reasons I could never enjoy the PoA book, he was an absolute ass to Hermione (Harry too). And that part barely made it into the movie.
Voldemort put a curse on his name. Anyone who said “Voldemort” would be immediately tracked. This was shown when those two Death Eaters appeared at the diner when the name was said, and when they spawned outta nowhere when Luna's dad said it. The books state this, but the movie does it in a “show, don’t tell” manner.
It irritated me that no one ever told Harry about this for years and years. They watched this dumb kid saying it over and over and thought it was fine to just shudder and tell him not to say it. It would help if he knew WHY he shouldn't say it and endanger himself and literally everyone around him. He's literally a Gryffindor. Bravery is his thing. Painting the situation as a we're scared of the man so we won't say his name isn't enough to get him to stop. He's literally a target for this man who wants to kill him and they dont tell him that this is an easy way to be discovered.
Harry and Ginny's relationship was DEFINITELY better in the books. Ginny is an amazing character, and they erased all of her fiery personality in the movies.
Book Ginny reminds me of her brothers, so Harry ending up with her makes a lot more sense. Movie Ginny is just bland. To be fair though, movie Harry is also a bit bland compared to his book counterpart.
@@whitenoisereacts I agree. In the fifth you don't see much of her wich is fine because she is not that important in that one. But what you see of her fits book Ginny. But in this movie for some reason they decided to change her entire personality to "Harry Potter's love interest" and that's it.
@@whitenoisereacts I heard someone in the staff, director or producer, something or another, liked the character Hermione the most. So alot of attention went to her. Which is why they feel almost more compatible in the films. They also cut down Ron's character alot, giving Hermione lines he had in the book as well as certain scenes. She was amazing in the books and very compatible with Harry.
The scene in which Bill Weasley says that Mad Eye is dead is much more intense when you know that the actor of Bill is actually the son of the one portraying Mad Eye. (Domhnall and Brendan Gleeson)
@@whitenoisereacts yeah, great actors with little screentime unfortunately! both characters are more important in the books - another recommendation to reading the books, they build up such a perfect universe!
A couple extra random facts : The thing that interrupted the wedding and warned the guests was Kingsley Shacklebolt's patronus, a Lynx (Although in the movies it does not take its Lynx form) Fred, George, Lupin, Kingsley, and Lee Jordan (That one Hogwarts student with the dreads who commentated the quidditch matches) created a secret Radio station called "Potterwatch", it was made to combat all of Voldemort's propaganda. Its basically like a podcast for those who oppose Voldemort, and to access the station you need a password so death eaters couldn't listen in. The Malfoy Manor part was honestly really downplayed in the movies. In the book, Hermione got tortured repeatedly with the Cruciatus curse, even when Ron begged with Bellatrix to take himself instead. Harry was also kinda panicking, and this dude Ron was pounding the cellar walls till his hands bled and screaming Hermione's name. Dean Thomas was also there in the cellar at Malfoy Manor, since he's a muggle-born and did not return to Hogwarts for his final year
@@whitenoisereacts Not to mention Wormtail's end. SPOILERS He put up a fight to both Harry and Ron. Then Harry brings up to Wormtail that he owes him his life for not letting Sirius kill him back in the third year. Wormtail hesitates to kill Harry and his silver hand, which Voldemort gave him, took it as a betrayal and choked Wormtail to death.
In the books, Wormtail died in the dungeon. He caught Harry and Ron trying to escape and began strangling Harry, but Harry reminded him of when he saved his life by not letting Sirius and Lupin kill him in Prisoner of Azkaban. Wormtail then showed signs of remorse and when that happened, his silver hand that Voldemort gave him turned on him and began choking him as Voldemort put a curse on it, where if Wormtail ever showed signs of betrayal, the hand would betray him. Despite Harry and Ron trying to release the clutch, they couldn’t and Wormtail was strangled to death by his own hand. I guess they didn’t include it because it would’ve been way too dark and the movie would’ve have to receive a PG-13 rating. Goblet of Fire was the only movie in the series to receive that rating.
Actually Wormtail doesnt show remorse per say, he just hesitated for a second and that was enough for his hand to consider it as betrayal but good explanation otherwise.
It wasn’t included because no matter how you film it, being strangled by your own hand looks stupid and ridiculous. And there’s time constraints and pacing issues to consider. This is the end of part 1, there’s no reason to stop the movie dead to have a several minute long scene of Wormtail strangling himself.
@@chrissmith6097 nah i feel that they could have made it look good. I don’t really know why they didnt include it, maybe it was the PG-13 rating but who knows.
Hedwigs death always crushes me. Hedwig was Harrys first gift and a good friend through all books/movies. Hedwig was the one compangion when Harry were at the Dursley's every summer.
In the books, Ginny is tough, very popular and also pretty powerful and their first kiss was in the Griffyndor common room, after they'd won a Quiddich match. *"Harry looked around, there was Ginny running towards him; she had a hard, blazing look in her face as she threw her arms around him. And without thinking, without planning it, without worrying about the fact that fifty people were watching, Harry kissed her"* Honestly, I'll never forgive the movies for making their relationship so shitty!
While he is a bit more complicated in the books, most of the stuff left out was positive things about him. I never understood the Snape hate, at least from people that have read/seen the entire series through to the end.
@@indianspartan76 I've read the books several times and have heard all the arguments, most of which are reasonably explained. The most common I hear is the fact that he's bullying children. Snape knew as well as Dumbledore that Voldemort would return eventually, and he still had followers watching Snapes every move. He had to make it seem as though he was still spying on Dumbledore and never left the dark side the entire time Voldemort was gone. If you want to provide specific examples, please do.
@@kos_m824 yet bullying children has nothing to do with supporting the dark lord. Firstly it's pretty abundantly clear the bullying is due to bitterness in his part and nothing to due with being a spy. He was Slytherin, laying low and being nit being suspicious would have made more sense than being so hostile. Making a child pay for being your rivals when it was also your love's and blame the kid for her death when you're the one who gave her location up even though you thought you condemned someone else just makes it worse. He was traumatised by the bullying sbut suddenly when he's the one doing it, we must understand? Clearly you're never been bullied and and even more so by someone in a position of authority. Also you can't say bullying is minor or understandable but then think it's traumasiting enough to justify his behaviour. Which is it ? You're giving excuses to justify your bias. He's a bad person. You still like the character. You don't need to paint him as a good person, to feel less like a crappy person with bad morals yourself, for liking him, since again he is a character and not a real person. Stop denying reality and giving excuses we get it, you admire quiet sufferers with a tragic back story. Still doesn't make him a flawed guy. He was outright a bad person, he was selfish, vindictive, cruel, a hypocrite and so much more. He fought not for the ppl, not bc it wa sthe right thing, not to save her son, but bc he hating him for killing lily. That's it. Just because he was brave and not pure demonically evil like Voldemort, who is almost a cartoon villain at this point but it's understandable, he was born form an inbred line and this not right in the head and rituals made it worse, doesn't mean Snape was good.
yk dobby appears so much more in the books than he does in the movies.. in the fourth book he's the one who gives harry the gillyweed, in the fifth one he warns dumbledore's army that umbridge has found out about them, and in the sixth one he and kreacher (who harry inherited from sirius so he had to obey him) spied on malfoy for harry - so his death is even sadder cuz we grow to love him so much
@@whitenoisereacts I’m 6 months late but I’ve always felt bad for Kreacher because I feel he acts like a salty prune from the way non-wizards are treated so horribly. But the movies don’t show his character arc as well as in the books (tho I think you know from past comments already that that’s true for almost all other characters). In the books, correct me if I’m wrong, but, if I remember correctly, Dumbledore had a conversation with Harry telling him to be understanding of Kreacher due to the fact that he has lived a life just as tortured as Dobby and Sirius has, unfortunately, done nothing to improve upon that. Harry remembers this and when he inherits Kreacher after Sirius’s death, he has Kreacher work along other house elves in the Hogwarts cafeteria with Dumbledore’s advice. When looking for the real necklace horcrux, Harry gave the fake one to Kreacher which made him see Harry in a much more respected light. Kreacher saw the necklace as an heirloom of the Black family and saw this as a great show if respect and kindness towards him from Harry. From then on, Kreacher started to show more care towards Harry and his friends. Hermione had pointed out before that Kreacher treats people well when they treat him well. I think this was why he was especially heartbroken once Sirius’s brother, Regulus, had died since Regulus treated him well while he begrudgingly did what Sirius would tell him as Sirius did not. By the final battle at Hogwarts against Voldemort and his forces, Kreacher led the other house elves in aid of Harry and his friends. I suppose I wished to see more love given towards Kreacher, the other house elf apart from Dobby to be highlighted in the movies…. But in any case, LOVE your guys’ enthusiasm towards this series and can’t wait to watch your Deathly Hallows Part 2 reactions along with Fantastic Beasts ☺️💖
In Order he is also on the brink of punishing himself for telling them as Umbridge had forbade the house elves from talking about it, even though he was free he was still compelled to obey and follow orders. Harry had to tell him not to punish himself.
Even with Dobby's short screen-time in the series, his death certainly hit viewers/fans very hard; I've seen more reactors break into tears than those who don't upon his demise. The movie director and screenwriters made us sympathize with Dobby and respect him rather quickly.
Hey guys, don't feel bad if this movie leaves you confused and with a lot of questions. Some of this is due to it being a two parter and some of your questions will be answered in the next movie but some of it is just hard to follow. I hope these help you make sense of it all. Wands: A wizard can use any wand but it's not as effective as using their own wand. Think of it like using a prosthetic hand rather than your actual hand. The relationship between Harry's and Voldemort's wand is explored a lot more in the books. There is a connection between their wands and Voldemort is right in a sense that they can't kill each other with their original wands. This really doesn't matter after Harry's wand is broken. As for when Harry is attacked during the beginning on the motorcycle, Harry's wand actually acted on it's own there, Harry didn't attack, he just held on while his wand did the work. That is covered more in the books too and partly explained in the next movie. Ginny and Harry: The movies do a horrible job of covering their relationship. In the books Ginny is a much more fleshed out character on her own and more time is spent building their relationship together. One of the things I don't like about the movies. Snakes: They are just snakes except for Nagini. Nagini is special in that she used to be human that could change into a snake and now is stuck in snake form. Coffee shop: In the books they explain that the name Voldemort is being tracked magically so if someone uses the name the ministry is told and someone goes to find out who used his name. The thinking being that only people fighting him would be willing to say the name. That's also why they know to come when Luna's dad says Voldemort when they go to see him. Ron after the ministry: He got splinched which means that the apparition wasn't done correctly and he left some of his body behind. In his case it was actually a small injury. There are cases of people leaving half their body behind. The old lady and the snake: The old man at the party was a childhood friend of Dumbledore's and the old woman at the party was one of Ron's relatives. The old woman in Godrics Hollow was Bathilda Bagshot. She is a magical historian and a friend of Dumbledore's family. The snake killed her and took her body. He literally wore her skin to fool Harry and because Harry speaks parseltongue, he didn't notice it when she only spoke parseltongue. Notice she didn't speak at all in front of Hermione. Nagini was sent there to wait for Harry just in case he decided to come back to the village he was from. The piece of glass: In the books there was a mirror given to Harry by Sirius that had a twin. They were literal two way mirrors that Sirius and James would use to talk to each other as kids. It broke in Harries trunk in the books and he has just this piece left. The next movie will explain more. The sword: If you would like to know how it got in the water I can explain after you watch the second movie. The reason that Bellatrix freaks out when she sees it is because Voldemort put it in her vault at Gringots for safe keeping to make sure that it wasn't used against his Horcruxes. Dumbledore's family: The full story isn't really needed to watch the movies but the short version is that when he was younger his sister was attacked by muggles and from that point on she intentionally suppressed her abilities. His father killed them for attacking her and was sent to Azkaban. After that his mother took care of the family (Him, his sister and his brother). She died when he was at Hogwarts and he was forced to come home and take her place as family caretaker. During this time he made friends, and fell in love, with Gelart Grindevold and they searched for the Deathly Hallows in order to subjugate muggles "For the greater good". They had a falling out due to Grindevald taking it too far and in a fight between them and his brother Aberforth, their sister was killed in such a way that nobody is sure who actually cast the spell that killed her. Over time, of course, he changed into the man we knew but that is his origin if you will. Oh, and Grindevald went on to become the most powerful dark wizard until Voldemort. Dumbledore ended up dueling him as an adult and putting him in a different wizard prison.
@Calm Beast If jk Rowling says it happened, then it did. It's literally her universe and her lore. Whether you like or not. Your opinion on whether it's true or not, saying "nope", doesn't matter at all because she said it, so it became canonical. Regardless of how you feel about it.
There is always this misunderstanding around the number of Horcruxes. People think there are 7 but in reality, there are only 6. Voldemort said he wanted to split his soul 7 times, not that he wanted to make 7 Horcruxes, so technically the 7th part of his soul is still inside his own body.
To be accurate, the part inside Voldemort's body is the 1st part of his soul, it's simply what remained of his original soul. But yes, there are eight parts to his soul when you think about it, but seven horcruxes aside from the soul in his body.
this won't be mentioned in the films at all (so it's not a spoiler), but harry is a descendent of the 3rd brother from the deathly hallows story (the one with the invisibility cloak) and voldemort is a descendent of the 2nd brother (the one with the resurrection stone).
Presuming Cadmus didn't sew any wild oats, he must have had grown children already (and his wife had died), as he killed himself because he couldn't bring his current intended back from the dead. Book doesn't clarify that part, just has Dumbledore saying that the brothers made these items themselves because they were so good at magic. The children's story was just made up over time.
Regulus Black is one of my favourite characters. I try to explain his backstory: Regulus Black started out as a Death Eater and liked Voldemort's convictions. He always wanted to be the "perfect son" and didn't want to disappoint his parents. Voldemort asked if he could "borrow" a house-elf and Regulus brought him Kreacher. Voldemort forced Kreacher to drink the potion on the Slytherin amulet to see if it worked. Kreacher then escaped and told Regulus everything. Regulus decided to destroy the Horcurx and when he was almost there he drowned. He had told Kreacher to destroy the Horcurx, but Kreacher couldn't find a way.
In the book Nagini was in Godric's Hollow to hold Harry there. And Voldi actually came and missed Harry and Hermione by seconds. He actually saw them (they took pollyjuice, but well) twisting in mid-air and disapparating. So there wasn't just a fight with a snake but actually fleeing from Voldemort.
the ginny and harry relationship is SO MUCH BETTER in the books. from the beginning sparks to where they are at the end of the series. it was really well done in the books. and it lasted several books.
The actors were in an awkward spot too - they had zero romantic chemistry because they grew up on set together and saw each other more like cousins or siblings
Nah it wasn't well done in the books either & it didn't last several books when Harry only paid her any heed starting from book 6. He was very much obsessed with cho in book 5. Ginny was his fangirl since forever she felt like she had this hero worshipping complex which Rowling turned into love which is weird enough & then suddenly we're told he's developing feelings for Ginny in book 6 because the summmer he spent with Weasleys & even that isn't described properly we're just told that's where his feelings started but no particular scene or anything. Overall Rowling as genuis she is, sucks at writing romance. Hell even luna had more chemistry & spark with Harry than Ginny to me
@@angelyuqi6709speaking as a teenager, feelings CAN and OFTEN form as simply as that. as in sparks i was really talking about ginny’s feelings which i semi agree with. and it really did last multiple books even if it was mainly dealt with in one. 6 and 7 are multiple books. tru tho. not rowlings strongest skill.
I'll try to explain without spoilers: Yes, the cloak of invisibility is the same one. James Potter had it, Dumbledore was studying the Hallows and asked to borrow the cloak, James lent it to him (he "took it off" in a way), soon after he died. That's why Dumbledore gave it to Harry in the first book, it's an heirloom. Also the wand belonged to the wandmaker 'Gregorovich', it was stolen by Grindewald and Dumbledore won it from Grindewald. That's the scene with Voldemort asking Grindewald (who is in prison) where's the wand and Grindewald says " the Elder Wand lies with him, of course. Buried in the earth. Dumbledore." Also, thank you for understanding Ron. I feel like Hagrid when I say this, but he's seriously misunderstood.
watching people react to Harry Potter for the first time makes me realize how much stuff was left out from the books lol! the videos are really fun to watch, thanks!
Also watching you guys discuss your theories is precious... especially considering you don’t have the background knowledge that the book gave most viewers when we saw these films... your questions are so spot on! I kept saying “you’re so close!” when you were discussing wandlore, Dumbledore’s past, the Hallows, etc.
Nagini disguised as Bathilda with her corpse was placed by Voldemort as a trap for the day when Harry will visit Godric's Hollow. It is mentioned in the book how Voldemort almost arrived on time, just before Harry and Hermione dissapeared...
also in books they used the potion - the only way she recognised them was because they left flowers on Potters' grave and later she was able to talk with Harry in parseltongue
I love how you are so into the story that you smiled when you saw the opening titles. Potterheads love to welcome new members to the HP world, so thank you both for your great reactions. About Lucius, he was still punished in the beginning for failing to bring back the prophecy. That is why Voldy chose Draco to kill Dumbeldore, and why he took Lucius’ wand, as wands are somekind of an extension of the wizards’ powers. As you might remember, the wand chooses the wizard, so giving it away is a huge deal. You can use someone else ´sa wand but it would not be the same.
The invisibility cloak has been passed down from father to son since the 3rd Peverell brother (from the story) got it. Before Harry's parents died, James gave it to Dumbledore for safekeeping. That's why Dumbledore was the one to give it to Harry. There are other invisibility cloaks that people can buy but none of them are nearly as effective as Harry's.
No, Ron almost lost his arm, but Hermione repelled Yaxley with a charm while they were dissapearing but Ron only got splinch, he doesn't left behind his arm.
"Who are those people that just walked in?" "Probably just regular people" "You sure???" Right as they turn around and start throwing spells 🤣 he totally knew the vibes were off 😅
I love the reason why Umbridge took the locket. She is half-blood, so she took the locket marked with an "S" and told everyone at the Ministry it was a Selwyn family heirloom - connecting her to a prominent pure-blood family. Just shows she had no idea .... wearing the locket of a historical figure
Here's a few things I can clear without giving spoilers of the next movie: 1) I think you guys are forgetting that the Elder wand is the MOST powerful wand ever made. It's the only and only one. 2) And about the story of the brothers, it is a very very old story. So Dumbledore's father can't be one of the brothers as you were discussing. Also "the wand chooses the wizard" as told in the first movie. 3) About Bathilda, she was killed by Nagini and then Nagini transformed herself into Bathilda. Remember when Hermoine saw blood, she probably saw Bathilda's body and thus she figured out that someone was pretending to be her. Love your reactions!
It also goes even darker than that, rather than just Nagini transforming herself into Bathilda, in the Books Voldemort uses dark magic to preserve her corpse (possibly as an Inferius) so Nagini can control it from inside, or at the very least remain hidden inside and speak for Bathilda in parseltongue since Inferi don't speak, but only to Harry while Herminone is out of earshot.
As much as you hate Umbridge, dont forget to praise Imelda Staunton for one of the most perfect book-to move-portrails in movie history! I know you havent read the books, but she(along with Luna Lovegood) was the character that I was most afraid of them not getting right but trust me when I say she's bloody perfection.
27:10 Not me absolutely losing my mind with Harry answering the question you have about the symbol while you speak over him ahahahaa, it's always so perfectly timed
Hermione finds a grave in Godricks Hollow cemetery with the name Peverell which is the name of the 3 brothers in the book. So Harry’s family and Dumbledore’s families are from the same town as the 3 brothers. This is all in the books. Love your reactions!
“I did my waiting, twelve years of it, in Azkaban!” Guys I seriously kept checking your channel for this new part of hp reactions, on and on, thanks a lot! You guys made my day, hands down
4:56 Your wand is a part of you once you use it for a long time. In the Deathly Hallows book, it is said when Harry's wand was broken, it felt like a part of himself was gone.
your wand isn't as effective if you use another's wand. for example unicorn hair wands are EXTREMELY loyal to their first owner. thats why Ron sucked in the first movie. he was using his brothers wand.
@@pixelbrady yes exactly! Wand lore is the most mysterious kind of magic in this universe. Even wand makers dont know everything about them, like why it is the wand that chooses the wizard. I love that not everything is known about them.
In the books Harry and ginny develop their relationship from the start, in chamber of secrets Ginny even writes harry a love poem and they start falling for each other since order of the phoenix
To me what made Dobby’s death even more painful after reading the books is that he was in Chamber of Secrets, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince, and Deathly Hallows. Interesting fact is that house-elves are much more powerful than wizards but you have to remember because they are enslaved they suppress their potential and only full use when asked or in Dobby’s case they are free. Also I wanted to say that Bill and Fleur, and Lupin and Tonks are my favorite couple besides Ron and Hermione, and Harry and Ginny. And finally Lucius is so weak and pathetic after Order of the Phoenix.
Yes! Finally someone showing appreciation for the animation! I feel like if the rest of the franchise had been as well directed as that animation, it would have been ten times more epic!👍👍
Once Lucius failed Voldemort in the Order of the Phoenix I started to feel bad for him, He got treated like dirt with no chance to redeem himself even Voldemort picked him to give him his wand. Also, Bold for Bellatrix to betray the dark-Lord to help her sister and Nephew when making the deal with Snape in the previous movie going behind Voldemort's back really shows that although Bella is evil there's still some humanity in her, things she cares about.
I honestly don't think it was humanity what made her do it. I think she did it cause she was loyal to her blood (family) and just enjoyed putting Snape in an awful spot cause she did think he was a traitor
@@symiki7609 Yeah, still a bit risky if she had been found out, Voldemort would have had her severely punished (Don't think he would kill her and she had value to him and was useful) but punished. I agree her family was the main factor - She did care awfully about Narcissa.
A little lore knowledge about what happened at 9:08. This goes back to the Goblet of Fire. When two wands clash like Harry's and Voldemort's did in the graveyard, they connect. This is a phenomena called "Priori Incantatum" (Dumbledore mentioned this term at the end of the Goblet of Fire). The term translates to "The Last Spell" or "The Prior Spell". This connection essentially becomes a reverse "tug or war" between the two wands. The golden energy created by the two wands begins being pushed back and forth between the two wands as they try to force that energy into the shaft of the other. Whichever wand looses this battle (i.e. has the golden energy forced into it) is forced to unleash echoes of the most recent spell it cast. When Harry and Voldemort first clashed like this, Voldemort used the killing curse. Because Voldemort lost the "tug of war" between the wands (the golden energy was forced into his wand), his wand created echoes of the killing curse. This is why the spirits of Harry's parent, Cedric, and the graveyard caretaker appeared. This is not the only result of a "Priori Incantatum". The wand that wins the "tug of war" (i.e. forces the golden energy into the other wand) gains a few abilities. The winning wand gains the ability to either sense the presence of the loosing wand or sense the presence of the OWNER of the loosing wand. Additionally, once a wand wins a "Priori Incantatum", it will forever hold supremacy over the loosing wand. In the case of Harry vs. Voldemort, Harry's wand (by winning) gained the ability to sense the presence of Voldemort himself. So when Harry is half conscious at this moment 9:08 and Voldemort attacks, its not Harry but his wand that jumps into action and repels Voldemort because it could feel him. SO BASICALLY, Harry's wand said: "Bitch, I already beat your ass. Do Not try me!" 😂😂😂 Note: Only wands that have the SAME magical core can engage in "Priori Incantatum". Its mentioned in the Sorcerer's Stone that Harry's wand has a Phoenix feather core, just as the wand who gave Harry his scar. Additionally, if two wands of the same magical core (referred to as brothers) meet each other on the battle field and fight TOGETHER, they can magnify each other's power.
Hermione having to obliviate her parents breaks my heart every single time. In my opinion, she has it the worst in terms of what she has to sacrifice to help Harry. And I hate not knowing if she ever got to see them again.
Ron helped her track her parents after the war was over, they found them in Australia and Hermione was such an emotional wreck Ron had to reverse the memory spell... after they got her parents back Ron proposed 😊
you can use someone else’s wand, but it won’t work as well as the wand which chose you. just like Ron‘s first wand, which originally belonged to one of his brothers, didn’t work well :)
I love your HP reaction videos cuz everyone else is like rating the movie or telling what they liked and disliked but u guys actually tries to understand and ask questions about certain character or something ......I really like your videos .
I don't think I'm giving any spoilers bc I don't think it was mentioned in the movies (though it probably should have been for clarity's sake.). Grindelwald was Bathilda's nephew. Nagini was there bc Voldemort suspected Harry would come back to his birthplace. I don't think he knew they were hunting Horcruxes. Can't wait for next week's!
@@Tooba-K123 after when? You know he was found in prison and killed by Voldemort in Deathly Hallows. Do you mean after his childhood when he was visiting his great-Aunt?
@@elizabethstrong6057 I'm talking about the events taking in Fantastic Beasts movie. As of now he's still alive and taking over the world. What I want to know is how did he got defeated and when did Voldemort came to him? Perhaps I just don't remember Voldemort coming across Grindelwald in HP movies.
@@Tooba-K123 ooh yeah gotcha. Well idk exactly what happened in the duel yet, except obviously Dumbledore won and Grindelwald went to Nuremberg prison. In Deathly Hallows, Voldemort visits Gregorovitch (wand maker) and Gregorovitch days he no longer has the elder wand, and it cuts to a scene with a young boy jumping out of the window (Grindelwald.). Voldemort then visits Grindelwald, and Grindelwald says, "it lies with him." Ie Dumbledore
Yay for the long video! I'm making myself cup of tea. It will never be in the movies, so it's not really a spoiler. Snape found out because he bewitched Mundungus Fletcher, nobody told him willingly. As for the mirror thing, in fifth book Sirius gave harry that mirror and told him that if he wants to speak with him, he can speak to the mirror. However Harry decided not to use it and when he thought that Sirius was tortured by Voldemort... he still didn't use it. Instead he went to Umbridge's fire place to try to check if Sirius is Ok and Sirius was upstairs while Krecher the elf lied to Harry that Sirius is indeed kidnapped by Voldemort. So basically, Harry could have contacted Sirius and he wouldn't have died and then the mirror broke and Harry kept a piece, I guess because of guilt and connection to Sirius.
I think it was Harry forgetting that Sirus had given him the mirror rather than deciding not to use it. Which makes it even more tragic that Sirus's death couldve been prevented if Harry had rememebred that Siruis gave him the mirror. :'(
@@lollyboyhair1 Yes. Harry only knew the gift was meant for him to contact Sirius if needed, but he thought to himself that he'd never use it in case Sirius would put himself in danger by trying to help Harry. So he left it unopened in his trunk and forgot about it... So tragic!
@@stearinlys Yeah thats it! And I wish they had added Harrys conversation with Nearly Headless Nick after Sirius had died into the movie! Such a heartbreaking moment for Harry.
Idk if anybody has said this in the comments but Lupin and Tonks have a son now. They named him Ted after Tonk’s dad who was killed by snatchers or death eaters I don’t remember which
In the books, Hermione did erase her parents' memory and they went to Australia but she only did that so that if she died they wouldn't feel the loss but if she survived she would come back and restore their memory, so it isn't permanent. Also, Harry doesn't erase the Dursleys' memory he just makes them leave so they don't get tortured if the death eaters think they know where Harry is. Oh also, Ron's ghoul in the attic is made to look like him and it will make people seem like he has a really bad sickness called Spattergroit. I hope that makes sense.
The final film is without a doubt my favorite film in the series (the last book is also my favorite, so that's not surprising). I really think you guys are going to love it. It is EPIC!!!
Your questions about the wands are going to be answered, so I'm not going to answer them and ask others also to not spoil it for them. But, I love your reactions. I've never cried for Dobby, but watching your reactions welled up. I also like that when there's new information, you guys pause it and discuss and not just talk over the movie, but also talk about it then and there.
It is amazing how you connected with the intent of the despair emotion - Many people feels is too slow and lacks action when truly its intent is make you feel that impotency.
I'm impressed with how you guys actually followed along with the plot of this film because honestly, the storytelling in this film was a freaking shtshow.. It seems confusing and weird for people who haven't read the books, I imagine.
I'd not read the books when I saw the films and I didn't have any trouble following this film. This or Half-Blood Prince would have to be my favorite in the series.
You need to think of wands as almost sentient, in the most basic sense. Wands choose the wizard but wands can change allegiance if their wielded is disarmed in a fight. They can also be more or less reactive based on how well suited they are to the person using them, so a wand you take from an opponent won’t always be as good for you, and will pretty much never be as good as the wand that chose you. Apparently it has a lot to do with what they’re made of, with different woods and cores making wands of different ‘personalities’ (again in the most basic sense), but as they indicate often in the books wand lore is very complicated and hard to grasp even for the characters themselves.
So to answer a few things you weren't sure about but the books cleared up before this point: Wands: So Harry and Volde's original wands were both made with feathers provided by Dumbledore's Phoenix Fawkes, which is rare in itself. When they went against each other for the first time in goblet of fire, that rare reaction happened, and clearly freaked voldemort out a bit, since he wasn't aware of the connection originally. After which he tried using lucius's wand, and Harry's wand while he was dazed turned of it's own accord and used that reaaaaaally powerful golden fire spell, which straight up destroyed Lucius'. This is explained in the books, as that when the twin wands along with the owners of those wands connection fought originally, Harry's courage won out, causing his wand to absorb some of Voldemort's wands qualities into itself. Therefore, when pursued by Voldemort, his wand recognised both mortal enemy and kin, and regurgitated some of Voldemort's own magic against him, magic significantly more powerful then Lucius' wand had ever produced, empowered with Harry's own courage. However as the wand was only significantly stronger then other wands when directed at Voldemort, Hermione's curse still broke it with ease. Regarding Harry's Broken wand: It's broken, in the books, he tries every way him and Hermione could think of to fix it, but he couldn't fix it fully. Unlike in the movies, he keeps it and manages to fix it towards the end of the books. Wand Allegiances: So this isn't really explained much in the movies, besides in that first scene where Harry gets his wand. Wands choose who they will work for well, however this allegiance CAN change. All trained wizards seem to be able to use all wands, but wands which owe them their allegiance seem to work the best for them by a fair amount. Deathly Hallows: The Elder wand is exactly what it looks like, A extremely powerful wand, whose allegiance passes down to whoever DEFEATS it's previous owner. The Resurrection stone, I think you guys got the wrong idea of what it does. It doesn't FULLY resurrect people, it brings them back to a kind of ethereal state (think a ghost) which can be talked to. However as they are not meant for the realm of humans, they grow sad over time, which lead to the suicide of the Second Brother in the story. The Cloak of Invisibility, it's not mentioned at any point in the movies, but Harry's is NOT the only invisibility cloak. His was passed down to him from his father (dumbledore kept it safe for him, and gifted it to him). Bathilda Bagshot: When reading the series this namedrop is actually quite major, as her name is mentioned relatively often in earlier books, as the author of the history books Harry, Ron and Hermione studied from in Hogwarts. She is definitely dead, Volde expected them to go to Godrics hollow and placed Nagini there to ambush them. If you rewatch this part of this movie you can see what alerts Hermione is there is blood all over the ceiling of a room, presumably Bethildas. The Mirror: The Shattered mirror you spotted Harry looking for help in in the dungeon, was part of a enchanted mirror gifted to Harry by Sirius as a way to talk to each other during Goblet of fire I think it was? Sirius also had a mirror and after his death, Mundungeous stole it from the House of Black like everything else of value and sold it on. Dumbledore's Father: He most definitely killed the Muggle Children. Hope you guys enjoyed the final movie!
There’s blood and buzzing flies and presumably a body that’s the real Bathilda. It’s not shown very well, but sometimes this series and other modern movies expects we’ve seen other movies and can fill in the less important gaps on our own.
49:23 ... *me smiling in fantastic beasts knowledge * :) 52:16 well technically they haven't graduated. they skipped their last year to go find the horrocruxes dude these movies were so insane to watch as a kid in theaters
What I really like to your reactions is that you two discuss different theories. Seems like you are involved in the story, I really enjoy seeing that. Greetings from Romania! 🥰
A lot of people compare these movies to their book counterparts & just talk about how much better the books are, and while I agree, there's only so much you can fit from 300+ pages into a 2 - 2 1/2 hour window
OK I 'm going to answer some of your questions. I haven't watched those movies for a very long time, so I have no idea if those explanations come in this movie, the next one or not at all. (though I'm pretty sure they aren't explained at all) But according to the book, which I read recently and many many times before since it's my favorite of the series, the facts that I'm going to tell you are pretty much known by this point in the book. 1) Nobody died in the wedding, Ron's dad sends them a message after they escape that everyone is alright, though they are heavily watched by the Death Eaters. 2) Bathilda Bagshot was dead in her house for a while and Nagini actually possessed in some way her dead body. 3) Dumbledore didn't get the Elder wand from his dad. He got it because he defeated Grindelwald, its previous master. Grindelwald was the thief who took it from the wandmaker and he became one of the most powerful dark wizards with it. Dumbledore dueled and defeated him in 1945, a fact that is mentioned in Dumbledore's Chocolate Frog card from the first movie. But Dumbledore didn't kill him, he just imprisoned him and that's where Voldemort found him in this movie. 4) The grave in the cemetery with the Deathly Hallows sign on it, is Ignotus Peverel who was the third brother from the Tale of the Three Brothers. He was also Harry's very distant ancestor, since Harry's father was from the same village and passed down through the centuries the cloak to Harry's dad and then Harry himself. Dumbledore had the cloak when Harry's parents died, because when James showed it to him, he immediately suspected that the cloak was a Hallow and borrowed it from James to examine it.
Bro, I LOVE how you guys are solving this as you watch it, asking all the right questions you’re about to get the answer to. It’s great! This is one it’s one of my favorite HP films.
If you pay attention, the Ginny thing has been going on since the 2nd movie. No joke. In EVERY scene with Ginny and Harry, watch Ginny. It's not one of those things they did once and forgot sometimes... she's always liked him and been worried for him. After the 4th movie/book Hermione told her to relax around Harry and maybe date someone else which is when she started finally talking around him bc shed always been too nervous before. he spent a lot of time with Ginny over the summer after the 5th year and started to notice he was missing her much more than normal when they got back to school and got jealous when he found out she was dating someone. It's hard to show a relationship develop when there is literally no dialogue at all as Harry was trying to hide his feelings about Ginny from Ron for a long time. Not much chance to develop it without putting 20 minutes of silent staring in a movie that already has to encompass like 24 hours of material
No, in the deleted scenes. Harry and his aunt who is sister to his mother have a conversation about if the enemy finds them, they'd torture them for information wherever he was going. so, Harrys' uncle and aunt and cousin had to move and get out of the town for their own safety. And we see a side to his aunt that isn't in the movie, but I felt it sound have been. But regardless no he didn't use the same spell as Hermione did, because her parents are straight up humans only, and she wanted to protect them and forced to forget about her, in case she didn't come back from this war, she didn't want to put her parents through heartache and pain if their daughter never return or if she had died, so she erase there memories of her and from what I hear in the books she also forced them to move into a new country.
So, as you asked- You can use ANY wand to perform spells & do magic but there's just one wand that is made ONLY for you. It's basically like having a soulmate. It's like a relationship between you & "your" Wand. Lucius was looking so disturbed when Voldemort took his wand because it's the greatest dishonor ever, to be forced to submit your soulmate wand. You can use any wand but the Soulmate wand would work the best for you.
A looot of your questions will be answered later ;) so this movie did what it was supposed to do - raise more questions and give no answers yet. And it's understandable because there are only 7 books and the last one is divided into two movies so take it as you just read half of a book, the best is yet to come! Can't wait for your reactions, favourite part of a week! ❤️
In the books, Bathilda's body was dead and was being used by Nagini: "...horror paralysed him as he saw the old body collapsing and the great snake protruding from where her neck had been." Gnarly stuff; she was long dead and her body controlled. It's insinuated that Hermione finds all her internal organs and stuff because she was a literal sock puppet. "Lupin said there would be magic we'd never imagined"
You guys are awesome. It`s so difficult to find intelligent reactions to the HP movies. I love your brainstorming, and how much you conclude from the scarce information in the movies. Most people don`t understand that the HP stories are very complex and therefore every piece of information is most likely significant for fully understanding the following stories. Everything is intertwined and complicated. It really is a pity that so many people ignore the HP books because they are convinced that they are silly children`s stories. In my opinion, J. K. Rowling is a genius.
“Even if they show Snape I’m just gonna ignore it” *Snape is literally bad in the first 5 minutes* I died lol thanks for bringing that unintentional comedy
Yes that was a patronus, people can also use their patronus to send messages, you'll find out who sent that particular patronus to guide Harry to the sword in the next movie I Can't wait for your reaction to the last movie. All your questions regarding Snape will be answered. It's the main reason I watch these reactions 😅 So glad to be a part of your journey into the wizarding world! There is something incredibly satisfying is seeing something you love through the eyes of someone who is experiencing it for the first time. Thank you so much for sharing ❤
Well, Dumbledore was evil for part of his life, when he was up to control the magic world with Gellert Grindelwald. You can see something of this from the deleted scenes PS: these reactions are awesome, I love this
Saying he was evil isn't really accurat I would say. His backstory is a lot more complicated than that and maybe my favorite part of the last book. He was naive and fell for some extremist ideas (might have been out of love also) but his intentions were mostly honorable.
the ball of light that showed up during the wedding is actually a patronus charm!! they can be used to send messages, it's explained in the books but never mentioned in the movies! it was Kingsley who sent the patronus to tell them that the death eaters where coming!
As they showed, the resurrection stone is almost a fraud. It doesn’t bring anyone back from the dead, it just shows you the ghost of your loved one for a small period of time. That’s why Death outsmarted the brother. So no, you can’t cheat death with it.
I still wonder what would have happened if in fact Harry had all three Hallows. She was the owner of all three of them at the end, but I would appreciate if Rowling actually expanded on that on her Twitter or something.
how i took it was that it plays into the running theme of nothing can be a fail-safe to immortality and nothing can truly bring back the dead. The Philosopher Stone is probably the closest to immortality, but it relies on the stone -if the stone is destroyed, you will die. Horcruxes are dark magic and corrupt and you need to protect the horcruxes in the same way as the stone. Nothing can bring people from the dead - ghosts are imprints and unchanging and have no physical body, and portraits are even more limited echoes. The resurrection stone was probably the closest type of magic where the person comes back with a body - but something about coming back traumatises them to a point that they arent really ever at peace with life
Some new information to questions you had from this movie. More insights on wandlore will be in the next movie, but essentially any witch or wizard can channel their magic through a wand. Best results come from using the wand that chose you. There is another aspect of wands that will be mentioned in the next movie and I’m sure people will explain it in the chat there as well. What happened between Voldemort and Harry in the sky battle is explained in the books, but the movie. Voldemort and Harry share the same phoenix tail feather wand core that comes from Fawkes, Dumbledores phoenix. Twin core wands won’t work properly when dueling, but when forced to you will get what happened in Goblet of Fire. Harry and Voldemort had a battle of wills and Harry won that fight which made Voldemorts wand regurgitate previous spells it performed. In doing so, Harry’s wand took on some qualities of Voldemort’s power. It also, after this point, would recognize Voldemort and both “brother and foe”. While Harry had his original wand, it would cast those golden flames at Voldemort to protect itself. Voldemort didn’t know about the twin cores and thought Harry was more powerful. When he found out the twin cores, he thought using another wand would get around that but it didn’t. Ollivander wouldn’t have understood that because nothing like this had ever happened. After that happened is when Voldemort went seeking the elder wand. Voldemort is French for “flight of/from death”. Vol (flight), de (of or from) mort (death) Grindelwald and Dumbledore were friends in their youth. Grindelwald is the great nephew of Bathilda Bagshot. He came to visit her in Godrics Hollow which is where Dumbledore was living at the time. They bonded over their shared interest in the legend of the Deathly Hallows. Grindelwald became a powerful dark wizard using the elder wand from the 1920’s till the 40’s. Dumbledore defeated him in a duel in 1945. Dumbledore is best known for his defeat of him and it’s mentioned on his chocolate frog. The fact that they were friends in their youth is a big revelation in the books. Dumbledore won the elder wand in that duel. You’ll find out a little more in fantastic beasts about their relationship.
It’s funny watching how understated your reaction to dobby’s death is, because for people that had been following the films, it had been so long waiting for the movies that we’d rewatched many of them several times. So we’d seen number 2 over and over again, remembering Dobby more and more, so now he really felt like part of the cast even though he only appears in 2 of the 8 movies (obviously he appears way more in the books)
Yeah, he wasn’t in the movies very much so it was hard to be swept off my feet. I feel like a lot of reactors fake their reaction to his death cause they know it really affected fans
Ugh the massacre that is Ginny Weasley’s movie character. She is a complete and total badass in the books and her relationship with Harry is eons better … she’s a VERY talented quidditch player, also like the “it” girl, all the boys wanna date her, but she’s also mad down to earth and one of the only people who treats Luna with respect and like an equal, she often tells Harry his business to put him in line, she is masterful at certain hexes and spellwork, she keeps up with Fred and George when it comes to mischief. She’s awesome.
Gotta love how Dumbledore's backstory was so fascinating, and portrayed such important context on the character, making him seem so much more human and fallible, and it just gets shafted in these movies. So much so that they're using Fantastic Beasts as an excuse to tell it. Which I am all for, but it doesn't excuse how they could have really dived into this. Let's say they change it up so that Harry get's Rita Skeeter's book on Dumbledore earlier in the story and we see him reading snippets of it while they are on the run, the camera focusing on pieces of writing that seem awful when they are taken out of context (which is exactly what that book did by the way) things like "Sister kept locked away", "friends with dark wizard", "desire for power", "brother blames him for...". Things that anyone would question. While Ron is losing faith in Harry, Harry is losing faith in Dumbledore, and Hermione tells Harry not to believe a word that book says and tells Ron to trust Harry, and she fails at both. One of the biggest complaints about this movie was how slow it felt, and I don't think that was entirely necessary. While it does mirror the slowness of the book, you can intersplice exposition and events, not unlike how they used the newspapers in Order of the Phoenix. I think one of the biggest things they needed to make clear was that Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald. It was mentioned numerous times in the books as one of his greatest achievements. They didn't need to say the boy was Grindelwald until after the Nagini encounter, just mention it once or twice as the man Dumbledore defeated, then when the photo is revealed to be him, people like White Noise Reacts will put the pieces together
What you said about the vulnerability in this movie is absolutely right, I completely agree. In the former movies/books our three heros were always in the safety of good old Hogwarts or at least near some reliable adults, so they had kind of protection wherever they went. But this time, it's not 'just' about solving some mystery or going on an adventure that always ended good for them, this is very different. Their biggest protector and shield, Dumbledore, is gone for good and they have to go from place to place to stay hidden from Voldemort and his crew of death eaters. They're just three young people in their teens who had to take on the incredibly difficult task of trying to take down the most evil and dangerous wizard of all time, with mostly no clue where to look for the horkruxes, with dangers and traps almost around every corner. It's no wonder they feel quite lost, even as a trio. So it's even the more admirable that they push through, regardless their fear and doubts. I have so much respect for those three.
Love your videos. Can't wait for part 2! I have to say the movies leave a lot of details out and only the books can answer most of your questions. I have friends who have only watched the movies and still get confused by the full story until i explain the finer details to them. But if you have read the books and then watch the movies it is super easy to follow and understand what's going on. So much important backstory that the films missed out! I still love them though but i obviously love the books more.
The white/blue thing in the tend at the beginning is Kingsley‘s patronus warning them. Voldemort expected Harry to visit Godric‘s Hollow, so he made Nagini disguised as Bathilda who was already dead wait there for him. The sword presents itself to every worthy Griffindor, but it must be earned with bravery, so it appeared in the lake for Harry to dive for it. The grave they see at the graveyard is from Ingnotus Peverell. The Peverella are the borthers from the tale, as many people who have researched for the Deathly Hallows think. It is likely that the Potters are direct descendants from him, so eventually Harry inherited the cloak from his Dad. One can really use any wand, but your own wand that chose you or that you won in battle obeys you better and thus works better. And then there are wands that are better than others for certain kinds of magic (transfiguration, charms ...), with the Elder Wand being the most powerful in general. One can even practice wandless magic like house elves do, but for that one has to be very powerful and trained in case of wizards. Harry and his friends were supposed to attend school for one last year but they quit for the cause, so technically they haven’t graduated nor they are fully trained.
Damn I just finished the HP binge on this channel and this popped up right after I finished the last one . Good one boys, love your commentary and how excited both of you are about this amazing franchise.
There's probably a comment somewhere in here, but "Splinched" means that a part of your body got left behind. They couldn't do it in the movies because it would have been too graphic, but because Hermione had to change her mind last minute on where they were going (Yaxley was left at Grimmauld Place so because he was "given" the information on where the house is hidden (it's unplottable - magic that makes it impossible to find without being told by someone who holds the knowledge), he can now share that information with others. It'll be crawling with ministry officials at that point), a massive chunk of Ron's arm got left behind. Essence of Dittany doesn't heal him, it just makes the wound older/further along in its healing so it's not debilitating anymore. If she'd studied medical magic (like Madam Pomfrey) she would have been able to heal him up really well, but she's only 18 so that never happened.
I'm already sad you have almost finished the series. These were my favourite reactions and I love when you pause and come up with your own theories that are always close or almost accurate. If you guys are readers I would really suggest reading the whole series and would actually watch you even reviewing the books! 💛
The lady Harry and Hermione met (that actually was Nagini) was the one Harry and the other older woman were talking about at the wedding (earlier in the movie).
Fun fact about Wormtail in the books he didn’t just get stunned by Dobby. He was sent down to check what all the noise was coming from the cellar and Ron and Harry managed to wrestle Peters wand from him. He then started strangling Harry with his silver replacement hand and Harry then spoke the words, “You’re going to kill me, after I saved your life, you owe me Wormtail” Harry is reminding Peter of the time when he saved Peter from being killed by Remus and Sirius all the way back in The Prisoner of Azkaban. Peter then let go immediately kind of trying to tell Harry that he in a way regretted all the things he had done, but unfortunately for Peter his hand was cursed and was enchanted to strangle any betrayer. Voldemort saw mercy as a betrayal so Peter started strangling himself.
I love how when Harry used the thing that distracted the ministry people you said "it's like something Fred & George would come up with". Because it literally is. It's a decoy detonator and they were invented by Fred & George to cause a distraction whenever you need one. Freaking legends those two.
Probably answered months ago. Giving up your wand makes you totally vulnerable. They are all scared of Voldemort. They know he is dangerous. Can’t ever be trusted. It appears even Voldemort had to request drago’s dad’s wand. He didn’t just take it outright.
We gonna be doing a livestream next week after we finish the series 6pm PST. Ya'll interested??
yessssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!
so will we watch the last movie with you guys or will the live stream be your post reactions to the final movie?
No it will be a regular reaction and then we’ll do a discussion and just talk about everything with u guys in the livestream
I like what I read...I’m in
that'll be 10pm ART for me. i mean. i'm down
“Neither of them have anything to worry about like Ron does.” The fact that you picked up on Ron’s fear of losing his family and having no way to protect them the way Harry and Hermione can without reading the books is impressive🙌🏾
YES thank you!! they’re like the only reactors- and I mean the ONLY ones- to realize Ron’s position instead of jumping on his ass and hating him immediately. They actually try to understand where he’s coming from, which is not easily done. Well done!! 👏👏
We try lol he’s frustrating don’t get me wrong tho lol
@@whitenoisereacts no he's not the movies ruined him
@@whitenoisereacts LOL yeah I understand. he’s only frustrating in the movies tho 😂 he’s awesome in the books, but I guess we have to go by the movie here
@@ulti87 He's still frustrating in the books, he was one of my least favourite characters and one of the reasons I could never enjoy the PoA book, he was an absolute ass to Hermione (Harry too). And that part barely made it into the movie.
"Dobby didn't do shit to hurt anybody!"
Dobby: *Had just tried to mame or seriously injure Bellatrix Lestrange*
XD
But she’s mean so....lol
And in book two when he sent the bludger after Harry
Voldemort put a curse on his name. Anyone who said “Voldemort” would be immediately tracked. This was shown when those two Death Eaters appeared at the diner when the name was said, and when they spawned outta nowhere when Luna's dad said it. The books state this, but the movie does it in a “show, don’t tell” manner.
So stupid how they dont explain that in the movies, they just assume the viewer will know about it 😕
Ron does briefly mention it in the tent
@@thereckoner30 does he? Its been a while since i watched part 1. I prefer part 2 or the book.
@@Dabawz_Lafrance He does but in the extended version of the film.
"The one problem with Umbridge is that she's not even cool..." -- so true.
Remember in the Chamber Of Secrets, Harry had asked Dobby to promise him to never save his life again..🥺🥺
Oh dude...that hurts
Harry and Ginny's relationship was DEFINITELY better in the books. Ginny is an amazing character, and they erased all of her fiery personality in the movies.
Book Ginny reminds me of her brothers, so Harry ending up with her makes a lot more sense. Movie Ginny is just bland. To be fair though, movie Harry is also a bit bland compared to his book counterpart.
I feel like didn’t even get the chance to shine, she’s not boring in Order of the Phoenix, it’s just that most of the time she takes a back seat
Yeah movie Ginny sucks while book Ginny is awesome.
Oh what? I had no idea they were related! Holy crap, I like both those guys and I never knew
@@whitenoisereacts yeah, great actors with little screentime unfortunately! both characters are more important in the books - another recommendation to reading the books, they build up such a perfect universe!
Domhnall Gleeson is great in About Time!

🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
„Harry Potter“ were Dobby‘s first and last words💔
And his first (when we meet him)
@@karathomas4195 Thats what she said
A couple extra random facts :
The thing that interrupted the wedding and warned the guests was Kingsley Shacklebolt's patronus, a Lynx (Although in the movies it does not take its Lynx form)
Fred, George, Lupin, Kingsley, and Lee Jordan (That one Hogwarts student with the dreads who commentated the quidditch matches) created a secret Radio station called "Potterwatch", it was made to combat all of Voldemort's propaganda.
Dean Thomas was also there in the cellar at Malfoy Manor, since he's a muggle-born and did not return to Hogwarts for his final year
I wish they had showed more of the manor. That was one of the coolest pets and locations of the movie in my opinion
@@whitenoisereacts Not to mention Wormtail's end.
SPOILERS
He put up a fight to both Harry and Ron. Then Harry brings up to Wormtail that he owes him his life for not letting Sirius kill him back in the third year. Wormtail hesitates to kill Harry and his silver hand, which Voldemort gave him, took it as a betrayal and choked Wormtail to death.
Bellatrix carved the word “mudblood” into Hermione’s skin with a knife
@@Jellybeansatduskthat was shown in the movie but not in this edited down reaction, so they should have seen it in the full movie reaction
4 movies of the HP series are pg-13 in the USA. (Gof, Otp, DH 1 & 2)

In the books, Ginny is tough, very popular and also pretty powerful and their first kiss was in the Griffyndor common room, after they'd won a Quiddich match.
*"Harry looked around, there was Ginny running towards him; she had a hard, blazing look in her face as she threw her arms around him. And without thinking, without planning it, without worrying about the fact that fifty people were watching, Harry kissed her"*
Honestly, I'll never forgive the movies for making their relationship so shitty!
Yeah...I like the casting it’s just kinda underdeveloped
Doubtful I’ll see this huh? Their relationship is WAYYYY better in the books, but I’m still rooting lol
Snape is way more complicated and gray in the books. The movies made him way more positive than negative
beautiful comment, thanks for writing this down
While he is a bit more complicated in the books, most of the stuff left out was positive things about him. I never understood the Snape hate, at least from people that have read/seen the entire series through to the end.
@@kos_m824 I suggest you read the books and watch the movies again and come back here because your recollection is clearly off
@@indianspartan76 I've read the books several times and have heard all the arguments, most of which are reasonably explained.
That's it.
Just because he was brave and not pure demonically evil like Voldemort, who is almost a cartoon villain at this point but it's understandable, he was born form an inbred line and this not right in the head and rituals made it worse, doesn't mean Snape was good.
yk dobby appears so much more in the books than he does in the movies.. in the fourth book he's the one who gives harry the gillyweed, in the fifth one he warns dumbledore's army that umbridge has found out about them, and in the sixth one he and kreacher (who harry inherited from sirius so he had to obey him) spied on malfoy for harry - so his death is even sadder cuz we grow to love him so much
Why did they cut him? Ugh that would’ve been so cool!
@@whitenoisereacts The CGI for his character was very expensive
Grindevald is in Fantastic Beats isn’t he? I feel like I’ve heard his name before
@@whitenoisereacts yep Grindewald is in the films and so is Dumbledore
One question, Dumbledore fell in love with Grindelwald? Or with someone else?
@@Tooba-K123 It's with Grindelwald.
I'm itching to correct your comment but that would be a spoiler and I guess you did that on purpose ;D
@@resathe6760 of course I did and you know why haha 😂
well now they've seen it so, yup, there are 8.
@@oriana_fortunato NO. Harry is the 7th horcruxe. There are the journal, the locket, the ring, the cup, the diadem, the snake & Harry. 7 HORCRUXES.
I try to explain his backstory:
Regulus Black started out as a Death Eater and liked Voldemort's convictions.
He was so brave. Wish Sirius knew him for what he was.
Mostly it just wasn’t done as well as it could be
@@whitenoisereacts yeah i agree, the whole relationship wasnt written well for the movies..
Dumbledore."
Also, thank you for understanding Ron. I feel like Hagrid when I say this, but he's seriously misunderstood.
U can spoil, we’ve seen the last one.
watching people react to Harry Potter for the first time makes me realize how much stuff was left out from the books lol! the videos are really fun to watch, thanks!
Lol it’s really fun tbh
Nagini disguised as Bathilda with her corpse was placed by Voldemort as a trap for the day when Harry will visit Godric's Hollow. It is mentioned in the book how Voldemort almost arrived on time, just before Harry and Hermione dissapeared...
also in books they used the potion - the only way she recognised them was because they left flowers on Potters' grave and later she was able to talk with Harry in parseltongue
@@mjm3091 right! And that’s why she wouldn’t speak in front of Hermione, because it knew she would call out the parseltongue
I really like Lucius’ arc throughout the series. It’s very subtle and enjoyable
It wasn't for safekeeping. Dumbledore just borrowed it to find out if it really was one of the deathly hallows.
so harry is from the peverell family line?
22:22 Ron got splinched. it is one of the many dangers of dissaperating. (teleportation) He basically left part of his arm back in the ministry.
No, Ron almost lost his arm, but Hermione repelled Yaxley with a charm while they were dissapearing but Ron only got splinch, he doesn't left behind his arm.
@@jeremysanchez5227 You literally just said the exact same thing he said. There was NO need to correct him. Splinching means that he left his arm!
The best part of this movie is Harry straight up bashing a whole snake in the head with a brick
"Who are those people that just walked in?"
"Probably just regular people"
"You sure???" Right as they turn around and start throwing spells 🤣 he totally knew the vibes were off 😅
I love the reason why Umbridge took the locket. She is half-blood, so she took the locket marked with an "S" and told everyone at the Ministry it was a Selwyn family heirloom - connecting her to a prominent pure-blood family. Just shows she had no idea .... wearing the locket of a historical figure
Here's a few things I can clear without giving spoilers of the next movie:
1) I think you guys are forgetting that the Elder wand is the MOST powerful wand ever made.
Chill
@@jasonlang9074 ?? was just clearing their doubts about some stuff
Didn’t Nagini wear her skin?
As much as you hate Umbridge, dont forget to praise Imelda Staunton for one of the most perfect book-to move-portrails in movie history!
I know you havent read the books, but she(along with Luna Lovegood) was the character that I was most afraid of them not getting right but trust me when I say she's bloody perfection.
you guys are scarily accurate in your theories. It honestly blows my mind how much you guessed right, before it happened
Aww thanks! We have fun with them!
So Pius is actually a ministry employee put under the imperious curse by the death eaters and promoted to minister after the other minister’s death.

4:56 Your wand is a part of you once you use it for a long time. In the Deathly Hallows book, it is said when Harry's wand was broken, it felt like a part of himself was gone.
That makes sense. To use it well it’d have to be like an extension of u
your wand isn't as effective if you use another's wand. for example unicorn hair wands are EXTREMELY loyal to their first owner. thats why Ron sucked in the first movie. he was using his brothers wand.

SO BASICALLY, Harry's wand said:
"Bitch, I already beat your ass. Do Not try me!" 😂😂😂
Note: Only wands that have the SAME magical core can engage in "Priori Incantatum".
You just caught me before bedtime! So excited for this
Same 😂😂😂
Hermione having to obliviate her parents breaks my heart every single time. In my opinion, she has it the worst in terms of what she has to sacrifice to help Harry. And I hate not knowing if she ever got to see them again.
She did. After the war.
Oh yeah...
It will work well if you “win” (duel/confrontation) the wand from the other person

So tragic!

So to answer a few things you weren't sure about but the books cleared up before this point:
Wands: So Harry and Volde's original wands were both made with feathers provided by Dumbledore's Phoenix Fawkes, which is rare in itself.
49:23 ... *me smiling in fantastic beasts knowledge * :)
52:16 well technically they haven't graduated. they skipped their last year to go find the horrocruxes
dude these movies were so insane to watch as a kid in theaters
But regardless no he didn't use the same spell as Hermione did, because her parents are straight up humans only, and she wanted to protect them and forced to forget about her, in case she didn't come back from this war, she didn't want to put her parents through heartache and pain if their daughter never return or if she had died, so she erase there memories of her and from what I hear in the books she also forced them to move into a new country.
this has got to be 1 of my favorite reactions from you 2, the harry potter films are incredibly made.kudos to the entire team for pulling this off.
So, as you asked-
You can use ANY wand to perform spells & do magic but there's just one wand that is made ONLY for you.
That beginning scene with Hermione erasing her from her parents memories is low key heartbreaking
This was one of the most horrible kinds of magic we've seen in the whole series, honestly
I'm not even halfway, but you ask so many good questions and bring up so many great points that I feel you'd get a lot from reading the books!
Yeah, I think we might read em on Patreon
@@whitenoisereacts ooh, I’d definitely join for that!
K. Rowling is a genius.
super underrated entry. probably my 3rd favourite. everyone thinks it’s all camping scenes but it’s really not, the set pieces are incredible!
“Even if they show Snape I’m just gonna ignore it” *Snape is literally bad in the first 5 minutes* I died lol thanks for bringing that unintentional comedy
Yes that was a patronus, people can also use their patronus to send messages, you'll find out who sent that particular patronus to guide Harry to the sword in the next movie
I Can't wait for your reaction to the last movie. All your questions regarding Snape will be answered. It's the main reason I watch these reactions 😅
So glad to be a part of your journey into the wizarding world! There is something incredibly satisfying is seeing something you love through the eyes of someone who is experiencing it for the first time. Thank you so much for sharing ❤
Of course!! Gotta hang around for more tho. We got fantastic beasts and LOTR, Hunger Games. Tons of stuff
As a Potterhead, I love hearing your theories on these movies and what you guys think may happen😂😂
Same. Also, him recognizing Dumbledore's wand as the elder wand was next level.
Your videos are so awesome! They always put a smile on my face. Thank you for all the joy you give to so many people! Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks so much!!! I hope you enjoy the reaction
Well, Dumbledore was evil for part of his life, when he was up to control the magic world with Gellert Grindelwald. You can see something of this from the deleted scenes
PS: these reactions are awesome, I love this
Saying he was evil isn't really accurat I would say. His backstory is a lot more complicated than that and maybe my favorite part of the last book. He was naive and fell for some extremist ideas (might have been out of love also) but his intentions were mostly honorable.
Less evil, more so power hungry
the ball of light that showed up during the wedding is actually a patronus charm!! they can be used to send messages, it's explained in the books but never mentioned in the movies! it was Kingsley who sent the patronus to tell them that the death eaters where coming!
elves are way more powerful than humans, they just dont know or care
Vol (flight), de (of or from) mort (death)
Grindelwald and Dumbledore were friends in their youth.
It took Daniel (Harry's actor) a whole day to that seven Potters scene.
We may do like book reviews on Patreon or something like that. Still figuring it out
@@whitenoisereacts that would be brilliant! 👍 can't wait for your next video!
Thanks man, we try.
Yes. We are most likely going to do the books, I’m thinking on Patreon
@@whitenoisereacts Please can you do TH-cam?
I’ll see, i feel like it’s not really a movie reaction tho...u know?
Grindelwald stole the elder wand from Gregorovits and Dumbledore won the wand from Grindelwald.
Who was Gregorovits?
@@Tooba-K123 Gregorovits was a wandmaker. Voldemort kills him in dh part 1
@@Tomtom-ep1yt thanks
Only they can come up with something like that😂
Probably answered months ago. Giving up your wand makes you totally vulnerable. They are all scared of Voldemort. They know he is dangerous. Can’t ever be trusted.
It appears even Voldemort had to request drago’s dad’s wand. He didn’t just take it outright.
