Newt is such an amazing hero because not only does he flip the archetype of the hero upside down but also, his character development in this movie isn’t learning to fight or do magic to combat evil, he already knows all of that, he doesn’t brag but he is a great wizard, instead he learns to be a better at human relationships and interactions, as you can see, at first, you only saw him thrive when he was with his creatures and was really awkward and closed up with people and by the end of the movie he didn’t really change, he didn’t go from introvert to extrovert or anything like that instead he just found the people that adapted to him and how he is without asking him to change and that is when he started to open up

I'm happy you noticed the hair cut. From the begining we have a shot of Grindelwald's blond hair and then the same shot with Grave's black hair, so from the start I was so sure it was the same guy xD
I always thought that Credence was able to be an obscurial as an adult, because he seemed to have an underdeveloped brain, causing him to technically be a child in a man's body
So Newt is actually the author for one of the textbooks used at Hogwarts called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which is what this whole series is based on
Love your reactions guys!! Ninetailedbush is so perceptive!! His thoughts are often spot on. Calling that Credence was the obscurial and that Greaves was Grinderwald. U nice; keep going💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
From what I understand, there's a bit of continuity errors in that one. I've yet to watch it though, but from what I've gathered thus far, McGonagall is not at the age she's supposed to be in that year.
Gotta love your reactions! Newts book he is researching is the same book Hagrid uses for his class and the main reason Hagrid loves his crazy animals as much as he does. And Queenie's abilities to read minds is the same as Voldemorts ability and why Snape was trying to teach Harry to shield his. Snape was an expert in shielding his mind. Theory goes Queenie is a distant relative I believe. There is a video about it somewhere.
Im sure youve seen/know but "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" by Newt Scamander was one of the books Harry/Ron/Hermione had to buy for school in the 1st Book. Mentioned when Hagrid takes Harry to Diagon Alley

As someone who just can’t really bring myself to like these Fantastic Beasts movies, I love seeing you guys and so many in the chat still enjoying them. I wish I could do the same. I hate people who dislike something and trash on others for enjoying it.
That pulling spell in the bank, it's "Accio" which purpose is to take something to come directly to the caster. You've seen it in 4th Harry Potter when Harry called out his broomstick when he fought the dragon.
I’ve heard somewhere that Newt is on the spectrum. That’s why he never really makes eye contact and you can sense that he’s a little “different” from others.
I'm autistic, and I perceive Newt as being heavily autistic-coded. It's so refreshing to see a lovable, interesting character on screen who shares so many of the same traits I have, without being shoved into some of the barf-worthy stereotypical portrayals of autism in the media. I desperately wish for more genuine autism representation (NOT like Sia's "Music" monstrosity, good grief), but for now I'll settle for headcanons like the blessing that is Newt's vibrant character.
the thing about the memory spell is that it's only supposed to remove bad memories. since Jacob has so few bad memories from his experience, he is able to remember just about everything.
so yeah Fantastic Beasts is set before the time of Harry Potter and follows the story of Newt Scamander (who eventually wrote the book called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which was mentioned in one of the HP books). the only thing we do know about Newt is that he REALLY cares about rare and endangered magical creatures...so whatever he has inside that case is probably something to do with magical animals. i mean he is like Hagrid x5 in that regard. the main villain of this trilogy (yes trilogy they still haven't made the third one) is Grindelwald who pretty much was the Voldemort of that era. He knew how to motivate dark wizards and instil terror into others. He was very cunning and he is of course played by the legendary Johnny Depp. after Mr Graves was killed in the attack at the beginning Grindelwald assumed his identity but everyone thought Graves was the sole survivor of that attack.
Newt and Jacob are just such amazing characters and everyone falls in love with them bc they are both being true to themselves and not trying to be anything else and they don't want anything else besides what is right. Idk how to explain it... Just likeable characters... In reality though Newt being kind of awkward and an outcast doesn't work the same in the real world...
I really liked this movie it was nice to see more of the wizarding world without it being all about Harry Potter (though his films are still my favs). I cant wait for your reaction to the next movie i personally prefer it to this one
You said you're starting to read the books, right? That's so exciting because there is a lot more story in the books that you don't get if you only watch the movies. That's not a criticism of the movies. I adore the movies! Literally never get tired of watching them. But the books will enrich your experience even more! I've read them multiple times. My favorite series.
I truly love Newt, He literally breaks all the toxic masculinity stereotypes out there. He is kind, nurturing, compassionate a lovely introvert and I totally see where he comes from when preferring his creatures before socializing with humans. Thanks for your videos I loved how you fell for these series. 💜
I think in the film Newt said the Swooping Evil venom takes away bad memories, so since Jacob had some good memories unlike the rest of New York..some lingered

Newt disappearing and reappearing is called Apparition. It is a fast but extremely risky form of magical transportation as doing it wrong risks Splinching or leaving part of yourself behind.
Newt was the one who wrote the Magical Beasts Book (The Book with the teeth and eyes in Harry Potter which Harry sacrificed his shoe to jump on top of it lol)

I don't know if this is because I'm a girl, but i knew Mr Graves was a bad guy just because of the way he was touching (Or not touching) Credence. He was too much in his space, he had a hungry look in his eyes and he kept getting too close to him while never actually giving him any affection. He is always hovering, and even when said nice things, his body language betrays his disdain. And Credence needed affection so much that he kept trying to gain love from this older, bad-touch man. It gave me the creeps. Their relationship(as an abusive, controlling, gaslighting relationship) is really well portrayed

I'm definitely curious to see your reaction to the crimes of Grindelwald. I think you'll really like Johnny's performance and also #JusticeForJohnnyDepp
Seriously this is not healthy anymore...everytime I get the notification that you uploaded a video I start to scream because I'm so exited...😅
Sounds pretty healthy to me ;)
@@whitenoisereacts oh cool then😃😂
I'm happy you noticed the hair cut.
So Newt is actually the author for one of the textbooks used at Hogwarts called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which is what this whole series is based on
The series isn't actually based on the book. The book is just a catalog of animals lol
I am very sad about Johnny Depp leaves from the cast
Same😔
it is very unfair
Love your reactions guys!!
Ninetailedbush is so perceptive!! His thoughts are often spot on. Calling that Credence was the obscurial and that Greaves was Grinderwald.
U nice; keep going💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
the next, Crimes of Grindelwald is amazing 🔥🔥🔥
From what I understand, there's a bit of continuity errors in that one. I've yet to watch it though, but from what I've gathered thus far, McGonagall is not at the age she's supposed to be in that year.
I thought it was a Magical thing....the giggle water.
But apparently, Giggle water was slang for alcohol back in the 20's
Oh...I totally did too lmao
I really love Jacob and Queenie. 🥺
If only real world can just be that way: You met and you fall in love 🥺
Hey, it happens, not to all of us, but it does happen ;)
I'm just gonna say with the muggle worthy suitcase that there is no way all of those items would sit in my suitcase that neatly.
This movie won the first Oscar of the wizarding world ever (best costume).
Genuinely still surprises me how spot on the predictions are
Newt is one of my favourite leading characters of all time. The world needs more role models like him.
Im so hyped for the second one.
You will just be like: 😮😯😲
Newt is a magical bootinist basically and in Harry Potter days they learn from his books on magical creatures
He's not a botanist, he specialises in animals not plants
@@ImBigDave79 i was making a comparison
Im sure youve seen/know but "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" by Newt Scamander was one of the books Harry/Ron/Hermione had to buy for school in the 1st Book. Mentioned when Hagrid takes Harry to Diagon Alley
Word on the street is we're gettting our own MANCUSA and FBAWRFT rides at the new Universal theme park being built here in Florida, Epic Universe! A continuation of the Wizarding World!
I'm so excited!!!
O yea
So there is a theory that Jacob is actually a squib!
As someone who just can’t really bring myself to like these Fantastic Beasts movies, I love seeing you guys and so many in the chat still enjoying them. I wish I could do the same. I hate people who dislike something and trash on others for enjoying it.
This was a really good reaction, I really enjoyed watching this, looking forward to the sequel. Great job guys.
Hinestly, as an autistic woman, I can identify myself in Newt
In the beginning when he pulled the muggle to him, he basically just accio'd the dude then apparated
I really liked this movie it was nice to see more of the wizarding world without it being all about Harry Potter (though his films are still my favs). I cant wait for your reaction to the next movie i personally prefer it to this one
Yes. I agree. The second one is rlly good!

"No cause Grindlewald has white hair!"
HAHAHAHAHAHA BRO
Newt is Luna`s grandfather-in-law :)
“What are they gonna obliviate the whole city…” yes
I think in the film Newt said the Swooping Evil venom takes away bad memories, so since Jacob had some good memories unlike the rest of New York..some lingered
you guys even guessed correctly about Queenie joining Grindelwald's ally which actually happens in the second movie....good job!!!
Appeantly the spell erased bad memory. So Jacob retained good ones
This is a spoiler, because they explain it in the next movie.
Love Newt Scamander 🖤💛 fellow Hufflepuff
If you rewatch the scene in Prisoner of Azkaban where Harry gets the Marauders map you Will see Newt on the map as well :)
really?? that's so cool. Where? in Hogwarts??
@@whitenoisereacts Well there are some theories why they mentioned him on the map. But since he knew Dumbledore it could be he was visiting him
All your family is handsome and kind. 🤗
Thanks man!! That’s real sweet. We try, to be kind that is 😂😂
Newt is like the guy in animal planet. 😂
it's cute that NTB likes Newt as character, because there not much hufflepuff representation.
" I think he IS Grindelwald " I - 😶💀
James: No cause grindelwald had white hair...
Me:.... Dude... wizards remember?
lol
I waited for this for so long. 😂 Thank you guys. 😄 I really like how you think about the story and come up with theories during the film. 😉 It's briliant. Can't wait to see the next one.
Thank you for being patient
So happy you guys enjoyed this one! Cannot wait for your reaction to Lord of the Rings! Great reaction as always!
OMG I wasn’t expecting this reaction that soon 💣💣💥
Newt disappearing and reappearing is called Apparition. It is a fast but extremely risky form of magical transportation as doing it wrong risks Splinching or leaving part of yourself behind.
I love thissss! I hope you guys are able to get around to the second movie it’s so great! 💕
Of course, next week!! It’s up on the Patreon rn
I’m so excited, I also really love these films
I can't wait for you guys to watch the second one
Dumbledores sister Ariana was an obscura
Love the theories guys. Can't wait to see you react to the second one. Some amazing add ons to the Harry Potter universe.
Newt was the one who wrote the Magical Beasts Book (The Book with the teeth and eyes in Harry Potter which Harry sacrificed his shoe to jump on top of it lol)
aw man, I can't wait for you to watch the 2nd one...it's a doozy!
You get more than just name drops... 😉
Hey your brother is Thor Reacts! I'm sure you know that. Lol. Buuuuut when this video started my eyes were closed because Im exhausted but then I heard his voice and popped up like, "Hey I know that guys voice! I just watched Rise Of The Guardians with him yesterday!' I am weird I know. Lol. I love all of you guys! Keep up the great work!
Edit: I think most people liked this movie. It's the next one that has a lot of people hating it, mostly for what it does to what we thought this movie was about, the characters and how it ended. It made people (including me) reject it BECAUSE we liked this first one.
Also I meant to say/ask this earlier when you guys watched HP and the Deathly Hallows part 1, where you get to see young Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald, but... Did you happen to notice how much James looks like the actor (Toby Regbo) portraying young Dumbledore in that picture? :)

Yasssss !! I've been waiting for this reaction !!
I'm so glad you guys enjoyed it, i understand some HP fans don't like it as much, but i still love the Fantastic Beasts movies. I can't wait for you guys to react to the next movie, it is so nostalgic and has so many references to Harry Potter movies which is awesome !
I just want to take a moment to appreciate you been watching and commenting on our videos from WAYYY back, so thanks :) we always remember the OGs
@@whitenoisereacts I'm here for you guys 😁 I really do enjoy your reactions and content.
I wish i could get your merch . But to ship to Portugal it gets sooo expensive because of the portuguese customs 😒
Looking forward for your future videos!
Aww...well maybe if we get big enough I can work something out for you!! Glad to know ur such a fan
Own 🥰 thank you
I absolutely LOVE the music in this.
You don’t need a wand to do magic, a wand is just the satellite to Chanel the energy.
I watched the first 30 minutes of the movie in the theater with some friends but a lady texted me wanting to hangout;) so I left early and have fond memories of this movie even though I never finished it haha.
I didn't know you were brothers. I love Nick. Nice to see this merge 😊
I really enjoyed this movie, really answered some good questions about the universe and how magic works in America in this world.
