HUGE NEWS! AoT is coming to PC VR on Steam as well, so a PS5 and PSVR2 is no longer a strict requirement! The rest of the setup should still be applicable, enjoy fellers!
Not had a playstation since the ps4, so this was interesting, its great to see so many options for consoles and sticks now, great video....also the pilot in the back ground is amazing xD
Since I’m a sim racer and GT7 with PSVR2 is incredible , I just use my Thrustmaster RS300 pedals and they plug into my hotas and Voila, I have rudders! Can’t wait for AOT!
Playing flighr sims with vr on pc. I have found having the hand controllers in your lap works quite well for picking them up and interacting with the cockpit
no, I tried on a standard sim match in WT, you can plug them to each other and the system doesn't reject the inputs, Wt does tho. so yeah, either they changed something or you're goin to be paying 80 dollars for those pedals like I did rip
Great update and info about differnt setups/joysticks alternatives. Are all the videos running in the background from Aces of thunder or are some from War thunder?
Most of the background vids are cut from the AoT announcement trailer but some are from a VR video of WT which i've linked in the description from another channel named 71Splinter who was nice enough to let me use it. Any footage that has any type of UI or "Aircraft Destroyed" is Splinter's VR footage which should be very comparable to AoT when it releases
Many thanks yet again. Absolutely superb guide. Very clever breakdown into three rig options. You thoroughly covered almost every point arising in my mind as I watched. Just one worry relates to the unavoidable use of PSVR2 hand controllers for in-cockpit switch and lever activations and my especially firm preference for the use of physical rudder pedals. Grabbing one or both of the PSVR2 controllers whilst wearing a (real world obscuring) PSVR2 headset and using Thrustmaster stick, throttle and rudder pedals would be messy and (not least) unrealistically time consuming in air combat situations. So the question arises as to whether PSVR2 hand controllers could be used to control pitch, roll and throttle at all times, whilst the Thrustmaster rudder pedals controlled yaw at all times. Would the game software allow that mix of inputs from different devices I wonder? Looking forward to your next video, which is another essential you have very perceptively recognised.
Its very hard to trust gaijin on this as i was all hyped when they made an announcment that they would support psvr on the ps4 for war thunder many years ago (been playing war thunder for 10 years on ps4 and pc using vr with the pc also) so i bought a psvr. guess what it never happened so me and a lot of other folks got scamed . if this does come about sony needs to allow pc joysticks, throttle, and rudder pedals to be used on the ps5 (like on the ps4) the thrustmaster hotus unit you show is like a toy compared to the many flight sim accessories availaable. even thrustmaster has better quality flight sim accessories available that work on the ps4 but not the ps5 . if sony would get serious about flight sims the ps5 is powerful enough to play dcs, or il-2 but here again they would have to open up the ability to use more accessories then then what they are allowing
You never played a gaijin game then. If anything, players stick to Warthunder. But if it works better than Warthunder, expect many to continue to sell their souls to the snail
This is a very different video from the other AoT videos and it’s so that way it keeps spam down in the future, I’m getting it out of the way early. Different vids are in the works

Even with rudders and looking around. Would really recommend centerstick aswell as it gives you more mobility when looking back to the left or right
I don't have the rudder pedals to the hotas. It sucks without, because you really need them to fly a plane.
Will the thrustmaster t300 rs pedals work as rudder pedals?

Love the set up recs. Now just praying that it actually happens.
Game looks amazing, if it's as good as I hope, I will def invest in rig 👍

I'll set-up when/if it becomes available.
Yup I’m just putting the video out while I’ve got the time so that when we get the release date y’all can refer back 👍
Looking very forward to it.@@trainingdays

This game is never coming out and if it does it will die a sad lonely death.
