- There aren’t many drivers in the world capable taking a 2000hp GTR down a race track.. and there DEFINITELY aren’t many drivers who are capable of DRIFTING a 2000hp GTR down the race track! But Alex has NO problem doing either - managing 7 second passes nearly every time! Her stock-location GTR is one the fastest in the world - clocking a 7.48 quarter mile time recently at this years MAP Proving Grounds. This is only the second time the cars been out all year.. will she take the stock-location record of 7.28?! We hope so!

maybe it's because motorsports is 99% males, and males creates a hostile environmet for women to grow on that sport. So yeah, it's pretty awesome that a woman came so far and is still hungry for récords.

Just about every woman I’ve met in the automotive world do it for social media affirmation and are put on a pedestal. The ones that are legit and know their shit are truly a breath of fresh air.

If you follow 1320 you'll see her make a lot of crazy passes. Her ability to manage the power and not back off when it gets squirrely is becoming something of a tradition. She is certainly among the best drivers on the channel

I have a non "trash-talking the girl comment" ... that ok? lol Anyone think its curious around the 6:00 mark, the guy driver is explaining why he didn't like his slower 7.85 run, he blames it on condensation inside the A2W IC, saying he was running on "half water" for the 1/8th... hmmmm... a couple of drops perhaps, but if more than that is pooling inside the IC it could be an internal water/boost leak. Interesting that we don't hear any breakup or plug-fouling on that run. He concludes by saying "engines don't run on water"... perhaps he hasn't heard about water-injection, and how much you can inject resulting in increased octane rating? Like over a liter/minute in some engines? Then a 50/50 water-meth mix (essentially winter windshield washer fluid) injection allows you to run a lot more timing, yielding sometimes hundreds more horsepower, with less or no knock? When you inject too much, or get pooling in the intake manifold it will foul out a plug or two, you momentarily lose a cylinder, bogging etc. Didn't hear it in the run.
Lots of people running A2W with ice in the A2W tank and their engines don't fill up from condensation... lol.

Man, 62lbs being spoken as if it was PB&J. Not long ago, anything north of 50lbs and not escorted by a full race team was seriously asking to dump a load of parts down the strip. It's said often, but amazing times we have for engines!

They do seem a bit short. Unless the car doesn't have a good reverse. The other car ran it through the staging lights and might have gotten more heat in the tires.
Lol I see Alex and her husband Coy Christmas all the time throughout the summer months and talk to their son at the car shows who just started college this year. They live about 3 hours north of me. Coy took me for a ride in his yellow Twin turbo Ford GT at powercruise in Brainerd Minnesota at BIR this year. This is a very awesome gear head family and they are very kind and very polite and friendly people. She and her husband and son were flying by me in my 400hp 2018 DSG Golf R lol. Get Coy to shoot some video with his UGR Lord Vader Lamborghini huracan 😉

Try driving the gen 1 daily in auto mode for normal driving. The gear kick down is so slow it's infuriating Changing 2-3 gears lower from OD takes a few weeks planing

Most drag races are autos. It is sad, but in a drag race autos are simply faster.

My point is driving an automatic in drag car vs a manual takes far less skill, so wouldn't you think someone driving a car thats faster ans harder to drive would be considered "the best" not someone driving with the easier transmission.
@@CRST3V3 I'm guessing that they are judging her off of her launching skill, and her ability to correct a shitty launch when they call her "the best". Manuals with clutches are very rare in drag racing, and most people assume that you are using an auto unless mentioned otherwise

Adjustable 2 step that someone else tunes, boost by gear, auto box, bump box and she points it at the wall almost every pass.
maybe a longer burnout in the beginning would help her out. it seems like the tires don't even get warm the way she does it.

"stock location" for those turbos would be still in the box because they are not the same turbos the car came with from "stock". not even the stock engine, gearbox, wheels, tyres or seats.

I think by the classification of the record they're going for, you could swap any engine you want into the car as long as the turbos are mounted in the "stock location"...

awesome job of makin that gtr get down the track ,im thinking it gets squiorley because the rear control arm bushings are compressing causeing the rear wheel alinement to falter if you could replce the rubber bushings with solid steel bearings it would cure the squril in the take off good luck awesome car and awesome girl driving most girls would be screaming bloody murder in a 7 sec ride
