OH NO ROBIN. IT LANDED ON YOUR GLOVED HAND. BE CAREFUL NOT TO SQUISH IT WITH YOUR OTHER GLOVED HAND. It's googly eyes are peering into your soul. I can make jokes about this all day.
Couldn't Robin have tried rolling away after tripping, or does it appear that the bee just came out too quickly for him to do anything about it? What a classic show!
This whole Londinium trilogy was some of the best Batman ever. It had a woozy, narcotic feel about it and crazy, surreal stuff going on like in this scene.
Alternate ending would be that he just knocks it off. Since he's always shown to have oddly accurate knowledge about things, he aughta know that Queens can't sting.
@elheber Actually, there is. Adam West once described Batman has the "Theater of the Absurd". There are very few scenes in the series or the movie that lend more support to that description than this one.
As far as the not so good 3rd season goes, this episode wasn't so bad. Adam West said that it would have been better if they had been able to film this episode in England. But the budget just wasn't there anymore.
@elheber Ah, gotcha. Either way, I found your comment quite humorous. However, just having heard Adam West make the remark that I quoted, it was fresh in my mind and this scene is a perfect example of that. But you are right. 40 years ago, I saw the sign at thought that all criminals labeled their death traps. These days, I see that sign and just giggle.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL omg this is so funny, they were serious back then eh? I would have bitch slapped that bee and took that hot chick home with me, whats even going on? People setting a bee trap? LMFAO omg greatness
As a kid I held my breath during this scene
Say it with me, everyone!
"Bees. My god."
Don't worry Robin. I too wouldn't have noticed the big sign and the even bigger beehive with a clearly vivible white string between them.
i love how the tripwire was about 2 metres long yet he still managed to hit it....and it was clearly labeled
I love the way Robin falls... Right into an effeminate pose.
That bee looks pretty happy.
quick batman, pass me down the bee repellent bat spray
NOT THE BEES!!!!!
OH GOD! NOT THE BEE! OH,IT'S ON MY LEG!
it's a DEADLY BEE WEAPON, Bees....My God!
OH NO ROBIN. IT LANDED ON YOUR GLOVED HAND.

The....bee is....smiling......

Too smitten by Lady Prudence. :) No, the bee was pretty quick.

The original Batman series had all of the cool villians. Campy, cool fun!
Crazy looking bee, muppet style but you gotta love it.
i like how she comes over and sit right next to the hive
Bees. My God.
O my god ! This is amazing ! they should totally air this again !
i love how he's more constipated than terrified of that totally realistic bee.
My god
Out of the entire field he manages to trip on that...huh.
My god.
Good Lord..
lol "Trip wire" thanks for the hint! better step on it anyway.. good job Robin! xD
the DAWN of make-up effects.
I have to admit, this show was actually pretty good when you accept it as the campy comedy it was intended to be.
nope, it was good in the 60's, now is shameful, even to watch. I'm out of here...
This is so scary.
NOOO!!! NOT THE BEESSS!!! AAHHHH!!!!!
BEES... MY GOD!
they dont make TV like this anymore
Alternate ending would be that he just knocks it off. Since he's always shown to have oddly accurate knowledge about things, he aughta know that Queens can't sting.
Wayne-tech really messed up making gloves that can't even stand up against a bee sting.
Wow that bee is so realistic looking. Hope it wasn't real and the actors weren't in danger. :)
Especially considering that the whole tripwire was maybe 5 feet long. The odds of tripping over it would've been astronomical.
So Robin doesnt notice a big blue sign and a wire that you can see from ten feet away?
Holy Budget Cuts Batman.
This is hilarious.
I can't believe my eyes.
LOL AT THE BEE
OU MY GOD!!! HELP MEEEEE!!! UAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!! I AM SO SCARED!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
There is no freakin way that the director was serious about that "queen bee" XD!!!!
IT'S A DEADLY BEE WEAPON!
Oh..MY...GAWD.
@elheber Actually, there is. Adam West once described Batman has the "Theater of the Absurd".

This scene beats the Shark Repellent Bat Spray 300 times over.
i hope hes got the bee repelent spray xD
Bees. My god.

It's almost like a parody of a superhero genre.
There is absolutely no context that could explain why the trip wire had a sign.
Holy bees batman
I'm sorry batman....I'll bee a while....
what was the budget for this episode 5 bucks?
why would there be a sign telling people a out a trip wire?
@badwx I meant context within the plot.
@revolversntulips I was gunna say..i knw they got some big stars to appear in batman.. but that would have been the biggest shocker..
So the rest of the bees don't give a shit if the hive is disturbed?
That's a piss poor excuse for a queen bee.
@2008kissarmy what do you mean... fake?
Man i miss the old batman...todays batman tv shows are horrible
Smack!!
10 feet? Man you must have worse eyesight than I do
What episode is this from?
@elheber I suggest you do a research on the 60s psychedelics revolution ideology , and its jargons.
@Teamo86
it has a smiley face at 11 seconds
looks real to me
HAHAHAHAHA
They actually had a sign to label the trap xD
And an ugly hive with 1 dangerous plastic bee xD
is that..britt eklan.. (sorry no idea how to spell her name lol)
Holy Honey Batman its an African death bee!
I've would've plucked it off of me. Plain and simple.
What are you talking about? I didn't see anything!

@fakespotter why do you think there is a warning sign then?? lol

WTF?
this is as fake as it gets, but still hilarious
Was this show supposed to be a parady and be stupid?
yeah it was supposed to be cheesy
It's campy fun, and always delivered deadpan.
This was an accurate depiction of the state of the comics at the time, believe it or not.
