    Being filmed or photographed whilst driving is part of the job. Enthusiasts like to see the vehicles in operation which is all part of their hobby. Just give a smile and a friendly wave 😁👋

    as a bus driver and photographer i can say theres no law saying you can't take images from a public place,on private land thats another story.And there's no right to privacy in a public place so he's wrong 100%

    There's no law on photographing buses, trams or trains from a public area. If the staff don't like enthusiasts they are (a) either in the wrong job or (b) have something to hide, like working whilst claiming benefits etc.

  • @tobidekker1116

    I hope these drivers watch your videos and see how foolish they look. You can't even see drivers until they get too close for a photograph to become rubbish but in your case it isn't so bad on video either until they come up to you and show themselves up.
    The lack of understanding that some bus drivers (and in your case the TfGM staff )have nowadays really tears up my insides and makes me feel unconfident about going out with my camera doing what I enjoy.
    If they are that shy about being on a camera then I suggest they leave their job since they clearly lack the maturity to be in the public eye. The camera only shows what you can see too, if they want to hide from a camera then (to me) something doesn't seem quite right and it suggests that they don't want you and the camera to pick up what they are doing. Anyway that's my opinion and I do try and not be biased but in this case it really is a no brainer.

    Unless it's an operational military base or naval dockyard of some kind, you're pretty much free to take photos and film to your heart's content. This includes police stations as well (not that I do and I was surprised to read this considering the threat level.).

    Policy on this sort of thing is to just ignore it if your not happy with it. Signing the contract you do agree to the company’s policy’s witch states you will have your photo taken by enthusiasts, I always flash my headlights beep my horn and give a wave. It’s nice to see people doing what they enjoy.

    I was a bus driver for 39 years until retiring a few years ago. The driver featured here is a frustrated "poundland" wish I was a supervisor/trainer type? The type who would end up being assaulted on late shift somewhere! It never bothered me being filmed to the point where I would entertain myself by giving/flipping the finger! lol

    This driver is 100% wrong. He cannot expect privacy in public, let alone in a role in the public sector. In the UK, there is no law against filming from a public or publicly accessible place, and consent is not required.
    Section 33 Criminal Justice Act 1972 defines what a public place is.

    • @tonyb1223
      @tonyb1223 ปีที่แล้ว

      Section 33 of the 1972 CJA is an amendment to section 9 of the 1936 POA, which if I were you, should go and read, both are totally useless regarding where you can photograph or film, but you may find it interesting in what you find you are quoting.
