Good point. Forgot about the oyster card system as it has been a few years since I last went to London.
I had the same driver on Service 65 from Alton to Guildford as well as 70 to/from Midhurst

Ha ha ha ha ha! Thanks for such an entertaining comedy! Now for reality! - Make a clear hand signal to the driver which they will either acknowledge and stop or drive straight past you as they see fit! If another bus - different route is at your stop RUN AND I MEAN RUN to the back of that bus waving your hands like mad because the driver will already have manoeuvred out to pass without checking to see if anyone wants their bus! Ask for your destination and tender the fare or use your card while the driver stares blankly straight forward ignoring you completely! Ring the bell once indicating you want to get off BUT IF YOU ARE NOT STOOD BY THE DRIVER SHOWING INTENT TO GET OFF! The driver will most probably drive straight past your required stop and if questioned will say you didn’t ring the bell. You clearly point out the Bus Stopping sigh is lit - they will respond yes after I had already gone past your stop! You cannot prove otherwise! And finally say thank you to the driver as you get off except in the South you get a funny look from the driver for saying so! Because in the south - especially London saying thank you is not the done thing! Blank the driver just as they will blank you!
Exactly. I tried to catch one a couple of months ago in Dunblane, Scotland and the driver drove straight past me! I complained, only for Stagecoach to claim that they had checked the CCTV on the bus I tried to catch, for the time and stop I told them the bus had driven past me at and was told no one could be seen trying to catch the bus on it!
Do i place the card on the scanner or do i hold it over the scanner?.. Do i physically release the card or does it still register if I'm holding it?
So many questions, such little time. We need answers before more questions arise don't we? Who is accountable for the misinformation? I demand resignation in the morning!
You put your card on the scanner and once its beeping you then take your card and go to your seat unless your getting a ticket

This stagecoach buses are in basingstoke route 3 to south ham in 2020 but not in 2022
Stagecoach tell drivers,that would-be passengers waiting at the bus stop DO NOT need to signal for the bus,it's the drivers duty to stop and find out

When you call or talk to someone it is rude to turn your back on them. The same applies with requesting a bus at a stop. When I see that, if I haven't been requested to stop by anybody else, I keep going because, as far as I'm concerned, it is not directed at me. So long!

@@ng8badboy well I didn’t use to frequent buses as a mode of transport seeing as I drove. But then ironically when my car was written off by a double decker from stagecoach I was forced to then ride said bus. I had no clue there was a bus etiquette so yeah I loved this video 👍🏻

No your wrong girlie. If you want a bus to stop you turn to where the bus is coming from and signal the bus to stop so that the bus driver can stop safely not to hit you. If you signal in good time and are looking at the bus you can then step back away from the kerb, doing your way you are not
All you've got to do now is work on the drivers etiquette!!

What is the thanks to the bus driver for? They did their job. Actually, most of the time, they don't do their job properly, which is no doubt why you didn't mention anything about the "press the bell and remain seated" signs, as if you take that literally, the driver ignores you.
We're all emotional beings & a little thanks help you / us !! The more thanx they get ,the nicer they'll feel & be !! I've always thanked them whenever/ wherever I ride a bus !! 🚌 💜🥁🐉🎤💞

Lol. I had made people cried as I am too honest !! Lol. But ,I really do appreciate drivers ,sanitation workers ,so on as they're doing some jobs that many of us don't want to do !! Like waiters ,too ! But,some of them do love doing those jobs regardless !! When I waited at tables ,I enjoyed serving people !! I got smiles often for saying " Thanks " to bus drivers !! Erm any overpayments went to each depots local cancer charity actually, so before talking shit on the internet do your research... plus serves your right for not having the correct change in the first place. Pisses me off when people want a 1.50 ticket and use a £5.£10or even £20 note.

Yes if another bus is at the stop then its up to the passenger to walk down so that the bext bus driver can see them. Its you the passenger who wants the bus not the driver
