Very creative to show the process you go through to put your silicone tails on without spoiling the magic and fun. Quick question: Phantom typically your in the water throughout the summer and sometimes occasional winter. But what do you do when you can’t make it out to the water during winter or fall? What activities do you enjoy doing? I’m just curious cause i’m trying to get back into cosplay but the weather is getting chilly so i won’t be able to go to a convention in a while. @jmanjonesthezombiekillinma6839 thank you so much! 🤗🖤 And that's a great question! I enjoy taking walks when I can, sometimes playing video games, my guzheng or watching Chinese Dramas when it is too cold to go outside. I also genuinely enjoy editing videos and photos, so I like to do that as well. I hope you can find some enjoyable things to do this winter 😇🖤
@@TheMagicCrafter thank you for sharing Phantom. I mostly just watch comedy shows like the big bang theory and werewolf or superhero movies. That's awesome! You obviously have some practice! I've gotten myself into a wetsuit and into shape wear (never at the same time, thankfully) and it can be a battle. The lube we used for wetsuits was dawn dish soap, but I can see how that could cause more problems in the tail. The shape wear was just a lot of hop-wiggle-bend-hop. My joint problems say mer-life isn't for me, but I love watching how ya'll make the magic. Thank you for showing us!
How fascinating to watch! Especially with your dialogue and humor. I love the hair too and how sandy beach like it looks. It always intrigues me to see how you ladies can look so completely different with different wigs, hair color, makeup... and now you can look completely different depending on the tail you're wearing.
Green usually means safe as it’s just algae which doesn’t cause health issues in most people (in fact algae is even sold as a dry powder as a “superfood”). It’s when it’s greyish or pinkish etc that’s it’s not good as those usually indicate a harmful bacteria.
I dont have any mermaid silicon tail, i actually dont even like swimming to be honest, but i think it looks so prety the work in the details and all the work that goes into prep for it is so interesting thanks for making this video, the background music was really nice too, i learned something really interesting today :)
I don't know why I watched it. But I noticed you keep looking around if nobody sees how you doing it made the whole magic. That's cute, you're doing your best to get unnoticed and bring happiness for fantasy and magic lovers. Actually I never thought that putting that tail on can be so hard. 😅
Don't know how I landed here and I never thought such a thing existed. But it's amazing.😮 And thank you for explaining so much. ... Also I really like the black lipstick. ^^

Such a beautiful mermaid. I only hope I can be that amazing when I finally do get a tail of my own. I've already designed one based on my favorite ocean animal, the orca. It's a matter of taking it off the paper and bringing it into reality.
Thank you so much! I have been doing this for many years in Northern Michigan, and am blessed to have clients who have me return year after year. Because of this, I've formed lots of special bonds with families and kiddos. It's always a joy to see everyone- even when they outgrow the magic and encourage their siblings to believe. :')
Simply enchanting (literally); that's an impressive monofin ! You have a face that (at least to me - & it's not auto-suggestive) is redolent as a member of the Mer community - fantastic !
Thank you so much! It's one of my favorite looks to do, since it is both super glamourous and also slightly creepy. Here's a tutorial for the makeup, if you're interested in learning how it's done: th-cam.com/video/29n_mTy-Cdc/w-d-xo.html
oohhh this is reminding me of when i was a kid and this was my absolute dream job! i actually joined a swim team to be a stronger swimmer for it (although i eventually gave up due to being insecure in a swim suit) i still love mermaids very much
WOW! You are beautiful. My daughters, like most little girls, were great fans of The Little Mermaid when they were children. I know nothing about being a mermaid; however, I was a teenager in the 80s. Have you tried rolling your netted waist scarf in a non-stretchy fabric? You can sew snaps every few inches & slip them in the top of the netting. Snap it in place & then roll the cloth until it completely winds the whole piece. Add a few more rolls to ensure it doesn’t catch on anything. Afterward, you can fold it & tie with a cord to secure it until needed. I hope it helps. It did for me when meeting with friends & getting dressed for a night of clubbing. It worked even more so when packing up for trips & id bring my favorite night life outfits. Great tutorial. I’ve always wondered how professionals were able to get into costume. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You are so sweet! Thank you so much! :') I've had a few people suggest trying that, so I might have to give it a go. While I don't mind the occasional battle with my fishnet belt, sometimes I just don't have the patience for it! XD
You should get a beach towel or fabric longer and wider than the belt. Spread it out and lay your belt on it. Fold the ends of the towel or material over the belt clasps so they don't get tangled, then fold and roll it all up so it's compact. When you're ready for your belt, just undo it, and you won't have to fight to untangle it. 🧜♀️
Haha, I was just wondering about where to find a mermaid for hire!! Probably too late since it's for this Halloween, but perhaps I'm the future. You're amazing! I dream of living in a" tropical" location and being a mermaid whenever I want or need!
This stuff was a whole different world to me Wholesome, magical, uplifting by the sea, woahh a mermaid type thing Rn im surrounded by a lot of judgemental stuff But strangely enough This stuff wouldve been very home to me when i was little, and when i was reading books I dont know much how i feel abt this change in my world
Very interesting! I had no idea getting into your tails was such a big job! Yes, I love Enchanted Knights and I have been going there for so many years now I can't remember, probably since they firs opened. Now they have a second store in Cheboygan that stays open year round, so I love that! I don't have to wait all winter to get more incense, lol!
I very much enjoyed this video. I love everything mermaid. It’s honestly sad how little content there is, in terms of series and movies. But anyways, I really enjoyed the video, you got a new sub.❤
@geniferteal4178 this video isn't showing tail storage. It's showing how to put on a tail discreetly. I have an entire video on tail storage after off season if you'd prefer to watch that

So, big chance you won’t see or answer this but I’m incredibly interested, how much did your tail cost and where did you buy it? Me and my mother have been wanting to be our own mermaids since I was really little so I’m really interested. Yours seems like it’s really good and has a beautiful design
Hey there! My tail is custom-made from MerNation Inc. ( themernation.com ) and cost me around $2,800 USD back when I got it (2016). Their tails are INCREDIBLY durable and I couldn't recommend them enough! :) Please keep in mind that each mermaid's tail is made to be one-of-a-kind, so my exact tail cannot be replicated. They can bring to life just about any color idea you have in mind though, as long as it doesn't replicate another mer's tail. They have coloring-page templates on their site if you two would like to print out a few and dream up some awesome designs! :D I LOVE that you and your mom are going to do this together. That is so special!!
Yes!! Some of us do it professionally, but some enjoy mermaid tail swimming simply as a fun hobby/ fitness activity. Here's a video of me and some of my friends having a pool party in Singapore after a dive show we were a part of: th-cam.com/video/ZcXaNnaX2Is/w-d-xo.html And here's a video showing one of the events my pod and I work each year: th-cam.com/video/3eMd4Pj9A_M/w-d-xo.html It's surprisingly a lot of hard work, but it is very fun and the smiles are so rewarding! :)

Yes indeed! You can find me all over Michigan throughout the summer on a somewhat all over the place schedule. I'm an adult man who weighs over a quintal and lives miles away from the ocean, in a socioeconomic situation where mermaid shows do not exist. Yet, I'm loving this video lol
@@breezep.7693 thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, silicone tails are heavy and like to stick to things. So I'd ruin the tent (and get stuck to it) with each changing session, I'm afraid 🤭🖤
Thanks for the video. The magic just gets damaged so easily. And then you need to hunt another mermaid to get a new tail. I'll be sure to use this video next time.

Have a safe and fun Halloween and Thanksgiving and of course Christmas. Swim Strong Swim Proud always old friend. ❤🖤🐺🧜🏻♀️🥰🎄🎃🦃 - Jordan
I also hang out with my boyfriend when I can, and try my best to enjoy wearing fun and creative outfits anytime I get out of the house- even for doctor's appointments... it helps keep my spirits up! I hope you can find some enjoyable things to do this winter 😇🖤
@@TheMagicCrafter thank you for sharing Phantom. I mostly just watch comedy shows like the big bang theory and werewolf or superhero movies. Your boyfriend must be a big strong guy to help you out the water. Much love to you your family and your boyfriend ❤️🐺🧜🏻♀️🥰🧡🖤 happy Spooky Season you all. - Jordan
I would love a video like this, but taking the tail off so you don't ruin the magic. That is always the part that's hard for me 😊
I do have plans to make a video like that in the future. I'll try to get it out for you 😊🖤
@@TheMagicCrafter thank you so much 💜
@Zelda_Kiki of course! Thank you for the suggestion 🥰🖤
@@TheMagicCrafter your welcome 😊
How fascinating to watch! Especially with your dialogue and humor. I love the hair too and how sandy beach like it looks. It always intrigues me to see how you ladies can look so completely different with different wigs, hair color, makeup... and now you can look completely different depending on the tail you're wearing.
Was that greeen water clean enough for your safety?
Oh yeah! There was sanitizer in the fountain. The green was just from algae that was unhappy with the sanitizer and me stirring it up 🤭🖤
Green usually means safe as it’s just algae which doesn’t cause health issues in most people (in fact algae is even sold as a dry powder as a “superfood”).
It’s when it’s greyish or pinkish etc that’s it’s not good as those usually indicate a harmful bacteria.
@@elenalizabeththere's plenty of green and blue algae that are extremely toxic.
Huge "Twig the Fairy" vibes. I love this!
That looks like a lot of work, props to you for enjoying doing that, looks like it would be something cool to come across!
It really can be! But it is always worth the smiles it brings. :')

I don't know why I watched it. But I noticed you keep looking around if nobody sees how you doing it made the whole magic. That's cute, you're doing your best to get unnoticed and bring happiness for fantasy and magic lovers. Actually I never thought that putting that tail on can be so hard. 😅
If I was walking in a park and someone just casually popped up out of a fountain with a tail on, I would be so confused. lol

Such a beautiful mermaid. I only hope I can be that amazing when I finally do get a tail of my own. I've already designed one based on my favorite ocean animal, the orca. It's a matter of taking it off the paper and bringing it into reality.
So helpful! Thank you ❤

That's so cool! Kids would love this so much, I know I would.
Those little pop up tents or tunnels might be helpful for these quick changes.
Not really. My tail likes to stick to that kind of material, so I'd get caught up on it, I'm afraid 😅🖤
I don’t know why I was recommended this but it’s very interesting.

I've had a few people suggest trying that, so I might have to give it a go. While I don't mind the occasional battle with my fishnet belt, sometimes I just don't have the patience for it! XD
how to put on a silicone mermaid tail without ruining the magic mermaid phantom
Yes indeed 😊❤
I would think interleaving material between the layers of tail might be a good idea ?
I think most silicone tails do have power mesh built into them 🤗
You should get a beach towel or fabric longer and wider than the belt. Spread it out and lay your belt on it. Fold the ends of the towel or material over the belt clasps so they don't get tangled, then fold and roll it all up so it's compact. When you're ready for your belt, just undo it, and you won't have to fight to untangle it. 🧜♀️
It has been recommended and I think it's a good idea for sure! Although we'll see if I remember to give it a try 😂🖤
So cool! :O
Thank you 🤗🖤
Me watching this video with absolute fascination despite the fact i will never be buying a mermaid tail XD
No worries! 😆🖤
Haha, I was just wondering about where to find a mermaid for hire!! Probably too late since it's for this Halloween, but perhaps I'm the future. You're amazing! I dream of living in a" tropical" location and being a mermaid whenever I want or need!
Great video 🎉🎉🎉 Could you wrap your fishnet belt around a paper towel roll or something similar?
This stuff was a whole different world to me
Wholesome, magical, uplifting by the sea, woahh a mermaid type thing

But strangely enough

Now they have a second store in Cheboygan that stays open year round, so I love that! I don't have to wait all winter to get more incense, lol!

I very much enjoyed this video. I love everything mermaid. It’s honestly sad how little content there is, in terms of series and movies. But anyways, I really enjoyed the video, you got a new sub.❤
I saw a few leaves fall out as you picked it up. Try to avoid those for long-term storage. The organic material can cause damage over time.

I LOVE that you and your mom are going to do this together. That is so special!!
I never knew ppl do stuff like this. Cool!
Yes!! Some of us do it professionally, but some enjoy mermaid tail swimming simply as a fun hobby/ fitness activity. Here's a video of me and some of my friends having a pool party in Singapore after a dive show we were a part of: th-cam.com/video/ZcXaNnaX2Is/w-d-xo.html

You should think about getting an easy pop up tent…..folds flat and small. We use ours at the beach to change etc.
