Gear 5 Luffy would probably get stomped out. He would last a little longer but he's not doing anything different other than making the Admirals work a little harder. He's got no Haki here at all, his abilities are still extremely weak in comparison to the Shichibukai even. Gear 5 is amazing BECAUSE of Haki. Cracker, Doflamingo, Katakuri, Udon prison, Kaido. These fights and experiences are what made him become the monster he is today. Each fight taught him how to make the best of his abilities and increased his endurance, speed and strength tremendously. It's not Nika that made Luffy as strong as he is, it's all the experience he's able to use WITH the powerup.
And he still made pretty garbage predictions... Honestly I don't see how Luffy showing up with gear 5 would even help whitebeard, the entire war was streamed live to the entire world, pretty sure the 5 elders would IMMEDIATELY show up to kill Luffy just from the sight of gear 5. Luffy would wake up to the same heartbreaking reality, sinking into another deep depression. It's a tragic cycle, where no matter how strong Luffy becomes, he can't escape the pain of losing Ace.
