It seems we will only need to provide proof of french proficiency if we are applying for a recognition of secondary school diplomas. But for Higher Education diploma we don't need that because i will be applying for a Msc program. Thank God. If you are applying for masters just upload the copies of your original documents, you dont need to do that if you are applying for a master's degree programme ( based on the reply I got from the university in the last academic session). Why should I thoroughly tell you that? Am I part of the admission committee that decides on the admission outcome?. You have to make your application on time and then wait for them to decide. If you are successful l with the admission, then the university will clearly state the next steps in your conditional offer, which includes applying for your temporary authorisation to stay. Hello Nuel, I have received an admission offer from the University of Luxembourg for a master's program. I'm trying to understand the process at which point I will be able to get my bachelor's degree recognized. As per the admission letter first, I need to get authorization to stay as a student from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and second, apply for Schengen type d vise at the Belgium embassy. Only then I can apply for a resident permit when I'm in Luxembourg. So, as you said in your video I need a Resident Permit to apply for degree recognition. By process, I won't be able to get my degree recognized until I'm in Luxembourg for course attendance. Kindly make a comment and point out where my understanding isn't accurate? And at what point I shall be able to apply for recognition of my degree? I'm from a non-EU state...
The university stated the deadline to apply for a resident permit on its website. I cannot say whether you will have to do that in your home country or Luxembourg. I did it while in Luxembourg, but that was years back. The admission letter should have the steps to follow, so please follow those steps and email the university for more information. My advice is to start on time. Congrats on your admission offer.

Hello, I have a doubt as per the vedio the last document is copy of Luxembourg residence permit or a copy of the residence permit for another member state of the European. So for international students how can they produce this document. So is it something we should do after getting residence permit.. So when should we do this step.
Usually, based on my inquiries last year with the university admission department ( I don't know if that has changed now), if you are applying for a master's degree, you don't need to apply for recognition before making your online application. You can upload your documents via the online portal. However, if you secure admission, you must apply for your diploma to be registered in the higher education section of the register of certificates kept by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research in Luxembourg. I have made a video about the process. Also, once you obtain admission, the University will send you a letter explaining the next steps to follow, but it is good to be aware of this process so that you can do it on time.
