It is unclear if admitted bachelor's and master's degree students can do that during their visa application (I don't have the full facts now); from what I read from the appropriate website, researchers or university employees might apply for their dependents simultaneously with their own application. Nevertheless, I wonder if that applies to other students. In my view, if you are travelling for your masters, I don't see the need for urgency in also trying to go with all your family members at the same time, after your primary objective is to travel to study and for the relocation of your family, so it makes more sense to me that you travel first for your study then after some time you plan for your family based on what the law says. Could you try to be specific with your question? Legalisation and recognition of documents are two different things but related. During the process of recognising your documents, some of them will be authenticated/legalised before you submit them for recognition. Could you try to watch my videos about this and read the guidelines from the respective universities?

Please write to the university if you would like something outside that. Though I also noticed you did not mention it, but some articles and travel blogs online do. So I am bit confused and hoping you can help with clarifications, is it needed or not.

@abahaustuschinedu1149 In principle no however it would be strange for 50 years old to start enrolling for a bachelors degree especially if the person has left school for a long time. So it makes sense to provide reasons for gap after your last highest qualification. This could be in form of professional experience etc. Regards Nuel

To apply for a bachelor's degree at the University of Luxembourg and in Luxembourg, you must first apply for the recognition of your high school certificate to the Luxembourg Ministry of Education. Now, one of the conditions for that recognition is that you MUST have evidence of either a French, German or Luxembourgish language certificate; otherwise, your application for recognition will not be processed, and consequently, you will not be able to secure an admission at the University of Luxembourg for Bachelors degree programme. Unfortunately, this is a mandatory requirement, and there is no way around it. The B2 level is just a categorisation of the standard of English language required, so IELTS, which is English language testing certification, will suffice. From my last research on this, if you have graduated from an English-taught programme within two years of the time of your application, you don't need an English Language certificate; otherwise, you have to provide it even if you studied your degree in the English language. @@christainsammy1137 How will you go to Lux before you are admitted if you want to travel as a student? If you are going as a student, you cannot get a visa without an admission offer. If you want to travel as a visitor, which is a different visa category that has nothing to do with admission or study, then you MUST apply for a visitor visa. So you need to be clear on what type of visa and travel you are talking about.

Depending on the faculty, it will probably open around November/December 2024, so watch the university website. Kind regards Nuel

For what purpose? Once you have obtained your temporary authorisation to stay and visa D, you must apply for your resident permit within 3 months of arriving in the country.
