Sometimes it doesn't matter how hard you study you also need to pray to God for success

I passed the PTCB exam on September 19, 2023 in Hayward, CA. Keana's description of the exam is accurate. The almost-police-level pat-down before the exam, 90 questions with 10 unscored, and the usefulness of flagging difficult questions to manage time all jibe with my experience. My exam did not have any law questions, but I know that the exact questions vary from one test-taker to another. This is a good solid video.

Hi, thanks for the great content. Do you think as a new grad tech it would be a good idea to go Inpatient instead of retail setting? I worked at a small clinic as a clerk and I've heard horror stories from people who worked at retail pharmacies but I wonder if going straight to inpatient is doable or a good move?

I went straight to inpatient with no experience - definitely doable!

yes of course! i personally just liked getting both experiences and its how i get my test payed for and then moved to hospital. some hospitals won’t hire without a PTCB exam pass, but some will you just have to pass within like 4 months of hire and if not they will let you go!

I took the GRE (Graduate Record Exam). PTCB seems to be similar.

Hi, can you just study yourself , without taking the course, to take the test? How many tests are they to get a job at the pharmacy?

hi! of course you can, but in order to take the ptcb exam you either need certain amount of hours working in a pharmacy or you need to take a pharmacy tech training program, then you will be able to take the exam

hi! of course! I took about 2-3 weeks to study but i’d say it was more 1/2 weeks of studying every single day after work for a little
