I passed the PTCB exam today, September 19, 2023, in Hayward, CA. It was difficult, and I was quite surprised to have passed. THANK YOU, AMANDA for posting these solidly helpful videos! They made for an excellent free-time supplement to the in-class schooling and in-retail externship in the months leading up to the exam. Particularly the drug list videos. Listening to you while hiking or cooking or whatever I was doing helped some of the rote memorization stick in my head. CHEERS TO YOU!!!
Pathetic i am 35 and still trying to get my life together, sorry about that i am also looking forward to take my PTCB exam. Have just been studying hard and praying to God
I'm currently studying for the ptcb this is my 3rd time and I honestly don't wanna fail it again I love wat I do its just when I'm in front of that computer screen for the test I get to overthinking too much cause those answers get really tricky but these videos are a very big help !! The PTCE isnt that hard, at least it wasnt for me and im no genius. just spend an hour or so every day the week of the exam, there are tons of practice exams online. Its going to be okay, youve got this I promise.

@@HoobleyWoobley the test took about 2 hours, I studied for about a week after work for about an hour or two the week leading to the test and half an hour the morning before. After finishing the test you will instantly see if you pass or fail but it took about 3 weeks for all of the certification to be cleared for the board and i guess for your footage to be watched back for cheating
I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the PTCB exam last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mrs Virginia
I have rescheduled my exam 3 times Im due to take it on July 31st. I took a program at one of my local technical colleges but I still feel as though that I'm not prepared enough to take the exam I want to pass it the very first time I take it. I just wanted to compliment your videos are extremely helpful I've been looking at other stuff on TH-cam but your channel is great to study from. 👍

I've been a pharmacy tech for 10 years now and its amazing how my work/state is now going to make me get certified. I work in a hospital setting so now I gotta learn retail and stuff now. Ridiculous
Taking exam next Friday. Took a College course but got Covid halfway through. I'm having so much trouble remembering the drug names now (brain fog). Oh well, we will see what happens.
I've general knowledge of phamacy stuff/meds for about 13 to 14 years. I want to work remotely like mail order pharmacy. I know like every medication name and side effect and dosing so i figure why not. Just need a book to make sure i get all of it down At the end of video im already familiar with 70% or so of this. Just need to study more.
i took the test and probably failed. anyone know any up to date study guides. becasue i went to school and studied and what was on the test was NOTHING I PAID FOR WHEN I PAID FOR SCHOOL. i'm furious because i wasted money on stuf that was barely on the test, i want to retake it, i already feel defeated, any help is great help to me
From what I understand, the questions are weighted differently. Having said that, max score is 1600. 90 questions with 10 of them not scored leaves 80 scorable questions. 1600÷80 questions would be 20 points. So most you could miss would be 10 questions cause the minimum score for passing is 1400. That would mean out of 90 questions you need to get at least 70 of them correct.
@@ClasifiedHD I take mine Tuesday. I wish I felt some of your confidence lol. Spent over 9 hours studying in past two days, not counting all the hours over past weeks....every time I do a practice test or practice quiz I just find more stuff I don't know....debating making more flashcards as we speak...

The PTCB exam is very difficult to pass, I can't believe i failed after studying with so many materials😞
Sometimes it doesn't matter how hard you study you also need to pray to God for success

Roughly how many correct answers do you need to pass? How do they compute the score?
78% (or better) correct is what my teacher told me will pass
From what I understand, the questions are weighted differently. Having said that, max score is 1600. 90 questions with 10 of them not scored leaves 80 scorable questions. 1600÷80 questions would be 20 points.
