You got to see a local crossing the track. That's awesome!

Wow I bet it’s changed a bit since then! It was definitely a fun drive! And the Wattle Seed Ice cream was honestly a game changer 😋

That was a great run through the Bloomfield Track, thanks for a very entertaining video. We just come back from there Monday week past 1/08/2022 so we were at Cape Trib 24/07/2022. We left the van at Mowbray River Road, Big 4 caravan park (Port Douglas) because I wasn't sure what we would be facing. The highlight for me was Mossman Gorge, what a fantastic place. Hauling the van up over the range to get to Cooktown was also pretty good. It would have been very exciting for you being a science teacher at Kulki Lookout, it is a nice little spot.

My partner Betty and I rode the Bloomfield track on our pushies 2012, part of our ride from the Gold Coast to Cooktown. We certainly caught other travelers attention.

I probably saw, or even met you. I lived in Bloomfield at that time and worked for the bus service (and at the school). We'd run 22-seat RWD Coaster buses up the Track in the Dry season.

When we drove that same concrete ramp 9 years ago the tourist info mud map we were using said that the gradient was somewhere between 30 to 33% incline! It's steep!
